According to Ved, Shastras, Upnishads, the tradition of worship is that worshipper goes to religious places, prays and submits his tensions, worries, sorrows, family problems etc. before God and that too alone. But now mostly women go to religious places and indulge in gossips, back-biting and share their problems with each other.
In the present scenario most of the women have interest to go to religious places and attend satsangs. Though men are also interested but the number of women worshippers is more.
It has been a long time i.e. upto Mahabharat war that people used to listen to vedic preach from learned Acharya of Vedas, Rishi-Munis, Yogis, Tapasvis and thus destroyed sorrows and attained long, ill-free, happy life.
To our bad luck, nowadays, in whole of universe, hardly few people listen to vedic preach from learned Acharya of Vedas and hence problem. God knows, in the present times who has allowed us to deliver satsangs against the Vedas and which are only pleasing to mind and not to God and soul. Yog Shastra Sutra 1/7 and Nyaye Shastra Sutra 1/40, teach the public that if views of anybody do not tally with Ved mantras and Shastras, those views will be treated as unauthentic/ false.
This land relates to Rishi-Munis, Yogis, Tapasvis etc., who used to give vedic preach to the public, performed daily Yajyen, did hard practice of Ashtang Yog philosophy. They preached to public to render services to parents, elders, society and nation, to speak truth, control senses, avoid anger, pride, ego, greed etc. to always discharge moral duties and so on based on Vedas.
As a result, the land was not divided but united because according to Yajurved mantra 3/5, the learned of Vedas used to perform daily Yajyen with ved mantras on this pious land. Therefore, this land is called “Devyajani”.
The people must remain alert that present satsangs donot turn into professional satsangs because in present satsangs, mostly vedic knowledge does not exist. It has been spread in the public that to attend present satsang is the best way to please God and to attract the public there, hundreds of assurances are also given to aspirants.
Public accordingly obeys them under the influence of their assurance because unfortunately innocent pubic does not know Vedas and the meaning of the “Satsang”. Yajurved mantra 18/29 gives authentic explanation of the word “Satsang”. Mantra states that by making contact with learned of vedas, we destroy sorrows and attain salvation. According to Shatpath Brahmin Granth Shloka 3/7/6/10, the meaning of word “Devaha” is learned of vedas and Yog Philosophy.
So, both men and women, would be able to perform authentic worship of God if they listen to unchangeable, eternal and everlasting knowledge of vedas, which emanates directly from God and not from any human-being. Otherwise, we are bound to perform self-made worship, which is not eternal and everlasting, does not relate to Rishi-Munis, does not emanate from God, say Vedas and Shastras.
So, meaning of Satsang, according to four Vedas is to make contact with Satya. And meaning of satya, as also quoted by Sri Krishna Maharaj in his Bhagwad Geeta Shloka 2/16 is that the matter which is eternal and everlasting i.e., which never ceases to exist, remains always is called Satya, otherwise destructible. According to vedas, there are only four Satya:- Souls, God, Prakriti and Vedas. Knower of the said subject is learned of vedas and Yog Philosophy, who can only be a Yogi, Rishi, Muni etc.
Therefore, man or woman who makes contact with learned Acharya, he/she infact attends satsang and not others; say Vedas. So, in the present scenario, every man or woman will have to think over/consider/discuss over the real meaning of satsang.
Again, we will have to know about the real meaning of Rishi, Muni, Yogi, Tapasvi etc. In this connection, Atharvaved mantra 4/30/3 states that the title of Yogi, Rishi-Muni and Brahman is awarded by God Himself, when a person after following Vedas and doing hard practice of Ashtang Yog Philosophy attains Samadhi and thus he realizes God by following vedic preach.
He is called Brahma, he is authorized by God to deliever satsang on vedas and about God. How can we deny the above quoted authentic ved mantras, telling the real meaning of Satsang, soul and prakriti and also about other unlimited matters mentioned in vedas.
Ashrams are not meant for gossiping etc., so these can’t be avoided until we follow vedic path. In this connection, we will have to draw our attention towards Rigved mantra 1/164/39 wherein it is stated that if a person listens to Vedas but does not realize God by following Vedas’ preach, then mere listening of Vedas will be of no use for him and such person precisely starts gossiping and spreading sinful views. Therefore, to make people wise, Government should make arrangements to include vedic culture in present educational system.
