Shivanshu: Pranam Swamiji Swamiji I had once read in history book that during Vedic period king was elected democratically by sabha and samiti. So were Dharmraj Yudhistra and Lord Rama elected democratically?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, Sri Ram and Dharamraj Yudhishthir were elected democratically.
Shivanshu: Pranam Swamiji, Swamiji in your book “brahmcharya dukh nivarak Mani” you have written that the essence of Rig-Veda 1.150.5 mantra is that the first birth of a person is of shudra Varna , can you please tell the mantra and it’s whole meaning?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my son. Shudra does not indicate caste. Here, shudra means the lowest and impure birth. Why? Because vedas state that after getting such birth, a person has to take vedic deeksha from a learned Acharya of Vedas and Yog philosophy. When such person takes such deeksha, it means he has taken second birth and his birth is called Dwijanama (second birth) which is the purest. In this way, the learned Acharya becomes his/her spiritual father and ved mata becomes his/hers’ mother. That is why, in the previous yugas, such person were called dwij. For example- Dwijuttama Dronacharya etc. Sri Ram, Laxman, Mata Sita were also Dwij. In previous yugas, almost all persons become dwij in six years of age after performing their upnayan and vedaramabh sanskar.
J: Sir, Mene ek din emotional hokar kasam khali thi ki jabtak me exam pass Nahi karleti tab tak bindhi (Jo meri favorite thi ) Nhi kahungi. Lekin me kafi time se us exam me fail hoti aai to mene socha in sab se kuch Nhi hota. Ab me khane to lagi wo sab Jo mene tyagne ka socha tha. Par me abhi tak pass Nhi Hui hu to kabhi kabhi Mann me sawal uthate he ki kasam todkar kuch galat to Nhi kia? Kya sahi he please mujhe bataiye
Swami Ram Swarup: Blessings beti. Beti kasam todna acchcha nahin hota. Hamein mann, vachan, karma se sadaa satya marg par chalna hota hai. Tumne satya pratigya karee aur tod dee. To beti aap is prakaar jhooth mein shamil ho gayee. Aapko ved marg par nitya haven/yajyen karte rehna chahiye jissey aap jhooth se mukta ho jao aur Ishwar kee is prakar best worship kar sako. Mera tumhein ashirwad. Aapko exam kee tayaree mein hard study karnee avashyak hai jo ki student ka dharma hai.
