Krishn Awatar Sharma: Revered Sir, Dandvat Pranaam, May I take your valuable to know what are the 9 different types of dryfruits, used for Navgrah puja/donation. Thanking you in anticipation for the timely reply.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you for a long, happy life. I am sorry, I do not know the full method of worshipping navgrah as it is not mentioned in Vedas. All four Vedas preach for only one formless God who is eternal, Almighty, omnipresent and who creates, nurses, destroys and again creates the universe. You are therefore, advised to contact local pandit about the worship of navgrah, please.
Prashant: Aadarney Swami Ji, Namaste. On your answer to Pankaj on the 2nd of October, you have quoted “My blessings to you. After attaining moksha, jeevatma remains always with Almighty God who is omnipresent and thus the soul (jeevatma) experiences divine pleasure always which is far away from sorrows etc. Jeevatma has extraordinary power given by God”. Please pardon my ignorance and disrespect for questioning your answer – the perception I get from the last sentence of the answer is that Jivatma does not have enough powers to enjoy bliss. However, my limited knowledge says that Jivatma enjoys bliss through its own qualities and properties with the adhaar of Ishwar after roasting its seeds of Klesh. Namaste.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yajurveda mantra 32/10 states “Yatra Devaha Amrit Maanshanas triteye Dhamanna Dhairayanta” i.e., (Yatra) wherein (Triteye) in third matter i.e., apart from soul and prakriti, the third matter (Dhaam) in Almighty God (Amritam) divine pleasure of salvation (Aanashanaha) to attain (Devaha) the learned of Vedas (adhairayanta) wander everywhere at their own desire.
Meaning- third matter i.e., in God, the learned of Vedas wander, at their own desire, everywhere to experience the divine pleasure.
Idea- The learned of Vedas after practicing the hard Ashtang yoga realise God and in the God i.e., after making the contact with God, soul experiences salvation i.e., divine pleasure and the liberated soul goes everywhere in the atmosphere at his own discretion. So, the lord of soul and prakriti, as is also mentioned in Rigveda Mantra 10/129/7 is Almighty God. Soul has no power to experience the bliss based on his own qualities. You see, own qualities of soul is that he is eternal, immortal, pure and also form of pleasure. But soul, in the absence of worship and the blessings of Almighty God has forgotten his original qualities and always remains entangled in illusion. Soul even thinks himself to be body whereas soul is not body. So, until and unless soul does Tapasya, worship, practice of Ashtang Yoga etc., illusion is not over and illusion cannot be destroyed without knowing the Almighty God and without attaining Samadhi.
That is, in Samadhi, the soul is indulged in Almighty God where He experiences the utmost divine pleasure . So until and unless the soul makes contact with God and takes the blessings how will he enjoy the divine pleasure? Because unlimited divine pleasure remains always in God and not in soul. That is why, the above Yajurveda mantra 32/10 refers.
Bhavesh Merja: Shraddhey Swamiji, It is believed that the four Vedas do contain all knowledge the man aspires for. Earthquake is one of the most dreadful calamities. In Vedas there should be adequate details about the Earthquake. Please explain what is suggested in the Vedas about earthquake – its causes and the ways to forecast its occurrence etc.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, please. In Vedas as well as in shastras, three kinds of sorrows have been mentioned-
The punishment based on the sins is awarded only by God. So it can not be told that what type of punishment- like Adi Daivik, has been awarded, based on which deeds? There are three type of “Taap” – (1) Adi Bhautik (2) Adi Daivik (3) Adhyatmik.
1 Adi Bhautik: Means sufferings from fever, snake bite etc. due to illusion.
2 Adi Daivik: Means the sufferings given by non-alive Dev like Earth, Air and water etc, in the shape of earthquakes, Cyclones and floods.
3 Adhyatmik: Mental worries.
The reason of occurrence is also mentioned in Vedas. However, as explanation of Ved mantras requires to be given. So, it shall be lengthy answer which cannot be given here. In short, the reason for occurrence of earthquake is due to not performing holy Yajyen which is stated to be a base to maintain stability/equilibrium of universe. Again, I would like to mention that pollution and all diseases also take place in the absence of the Yajyen. On the other hand, Atharvaveda states that in the absence of Yajyen, earthquakes, floods etc., start occurring which are stated to be Yamdoot by God. So the deep knowledge of Yajyen is available only in four Vedas which public does not like to listen due to present preach of most of the saints to forgo the Yajyen.
