Satinath: Pranama, I have been receiving the advices from Your Holiness but as I am not a Pandit or a Scholar and as I am still studying the construction practices of the manual workers of this coastal area even after the tropical cyclone Aila-2009, I am seeking your advices for the benefit of the manual workers. Even today many of the manual workers cannot read and write and cannot calculate their income in terms of money and I do not believe that they are financially corrupt persons. What are BIDHIS for them? The authorities of this coastal area are avoiding both the manual workers and unsafe human settlements due to disasters. Pranama to all.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. people donot become Pandit or scholars with birth. Those who work hard in spiritualism and worldly pious deeds become pandit/scholars. Meaning of pandit is learned man or woman. So, pandits do not exist by birth but become so by doing pious deeds. I hope you will continue your study of spiritualism also to become pandit. Human-life blessed by God is meant to become pandit/scholars who are learned of vedas and yoga philosophy, failing which God admonishes them either as ordinary men or a devil, if they commit sins. This is quoted in Yajurveda mantra 40/3. So, we all must be alert to become learneds and not lazy or ordinary man. Only then can we make our future bright and gain long, happy life.
The present birth is based on previous lives’ deeds but in human life, if a person adopts true path then he finishes all his sins, sorrows etc. So, we must educate every person in two ways- Spiritualism as well as worldly pious deeds to enable them to get away from sorrows, poverty etc. If people are illiterate then they should be preached to do name jaap of holy God- Om both times, to kill their sorrows and get progress with the blessings of God. Problem is this that who will teach and bring them together daily or alternate days or twice a week. If we are empowered then we can provide them with services of a teacher to educate them, so that at least, they can read holy books, newspapers etc. We can ask for the government to help in this way also. The elders should be taught in night classes at least for one hour daily in alternate days, as it suits them. The following pious deeds should be taught to them-
Shubh Karma
Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharging moral duties to get progress in education, science simultaneously with spiritualism like, daily havan, to be in contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice, are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and obliterate the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc.
One must wake up early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises, must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-vegetarian. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.
As regards cyclone, earthquakes, floods etc., these are also one of the three types of sorrows which have been stated in vedas and shastras. The said sorrows occur in the absence of yajyen and real Vedic worship of God. In present time, name jaap of Om shall be beneficial, as stated above.
Then practice of yoga philosophy i.e., asan, prannayam, meditation can be taught to them which does not require educational qualification as prerequisite. However, providing night classes along with teacher is necessary, so that they may be able to read a little, write a little and count as well. Sunday havan or at least fortnightly or monthly havan should also be arranged to be performed by a learned Purohit.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my dear son. You see, money should not be a problem to spread the knowledge of vedas and as per your potentiality, you can send money as regards payment of Cd etc. if you can’t pay yet I shall be happy that you are studying books and following Vedic path.
So, I again bless you for sending the cheque.
RM: As being said and written in our old religious scripture that ” Everything which has to happen or which has happened or which is happening is already written and no one can change it” , IF this statement holds true then the existence of human being doesn’t make sense. And then how come the doer is a human and then why human is penalized for doing sin.
Swami Ram Swarup: No, please, it is not mentioned in vedas-shastras, Upnishads, Valmiki Ramayana, Mahabharat and other ancient holy books that no one can change the luck/destiny (Prarabdh). If no one can change Prarabdh then spiritualism/worship is not needed. Actually, by following real path of worship of God, previous lives deeds as well as present life deeds are destroyed to realise God and to attain salvation. I mean to say, to be away from facing tensions, sorrows, sickness, death etc. We need to worship God. I also paste relevant answer in this regard-
You see, God has provided us with human body to face the result of our previous lives’ deeds – good or bad. When we face the bad deeds, then we feel tensions, problems, sickness etc., and when we face pious deeds result then we enjoy happiness.
By getting Deeksha and then practicing the same above worship we obliterate our previous lives’ deeds and at one stage, we realise God and attain salvation and get long, tension free, happy life.
As you have used lucky word, this is the answer that the person does less efforts and gets more benefit by virtue of his previous lives’ pious deeds and those who suffer despite doing hard work are also facing previous lives’ deeds which does not allow people to get more benefit inspite of hard working. We should kill our previous lives’ deeds through Deeksha.
The answer is same as quoted above that result of deeds are being faced here. The said philosophy has been mentioned in Yajurveda mantra 7/48 and Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 and 3. The said Rigveda mantras state that the present human life has been blessed by God to face the previous lives’ deeds and whatever we’ll do in present life, all those deeds will have to be faced in future births and not in present birth. A learned person follows the Vedic path, takes Deeksha and kills all previous lives deeds.
