R P Singh: Namastey swamji.. Swamiji I read your artcle on idol worship. Swamiji but how come Ram Krishna Paramhansa realized God when he was an idol worshipper? He has mentioned various instances of his experiences with Goddess Kali. Even Swami Vivekanada stated how when Ram Krishna Paramhansa touched his chest everything around him vanished and ocean of bliss was there. I have read this in complete works of swamiji. Were they all lieing? Can you please tell me about Goddess Kali?

My dear, it is a vast matter to think that how Ram Krishna Paramhansa realized God being idol worshipper and therefore, I may only tell that Paramhansji knows well about his realization But when the matter of eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates directly from Almighty God arises then all Vedas state that in the absence of Vedic knowledge and in absence of learned guru/acharya of Vedas and Ashtang yog philosophy nobody can realise God. (Riogved mantra 1/128/8, 1/4/4, 1/5/6 Refers).
Even Vedas state that existence of any idol worship and worship of Devi-devtas does not exist in Vedas and therefore, learned of Vedas do not accept the same. Vedas tell only to worship one Formless, omnipresent, omniscient, Almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. However, whosoever performs the worship of any devi-devtas etc., he may go ahead at his own but as far as Vedas are concerned, I have quoted eternal truth above, which was also followed by ancient Rishi-Munis, Sri Krishna Maharaj, Sri Ram, Dashrath King and their public etc. Again, I write that in four Vedas there is no existence of any Devi-Devta. Yet, who likes to worship Devi-Devta, they may go ahead at their own.

Swami Ram Swarup: According to Vedas, pregnant lady should not travel but you alone can go there if enough arrangements are made to look after your wife properly in your absence.

The requisite Brihadarranyakopnishad shloka 6/4/7 preaches that after marriage, if the wife does not cooperate with husband for giving birth to child then the husband must try his level best to satisfy/please the wife by providing her with several beautiful presents, goods etc. Then the husband must show his anger by using stick or hand but at this stage, the husband should leave the idea of making sexual contact with wife. Husband should tell his wife that I will snatch away your fame and glory. Shloka states that wife thus starts cooperation with husband.
