Poonam: Pranaam Rishivar, Is vastu shastra mentioned in Vedas? Is it necessary to have the house, bathrooms,bedrooms constructed according to vastu,else it will cause adverse effects on health,wealth and mental peace? People strongly mention that bathroom cum toilet in my room is in the ISHAAN corner of the house,which is considered to be the place of worship and because of this defect my health,wealth and mental peace is at great stake. Please guide me with God’s rules regarding these.

No, vastu shastra is not mentioned in Vedas. It is man-made. In Vedas, architecture subject exists. Adverse effect on health wealth etc., occurs due to previous lives’ bad deeds. Ishaan means east which according to architecture view is good sign because sunrays through ventilation and windows comes. As regards, worship, God is everywhere. Therefore hawan or meditation etc., can be performed selecting the place excluding bathroom and toilet. Suppose, you perform hawan in verandah, room or in open space then you can sit so that you face towards east in the morning and west in the evening and here no question of bath/toilet arises.
Pavan Kumar: What is the procedure of a person who s death is -akal mrityu.antim sanskar kaise kiya jata hai, and what are the procedures by which the person will get shanti and mukti?
Swami Ram Swarup: In Vedas, death has been called as death only in all situations and circumstances. No akalmrityu type death exists in Vedas. Death and birth is controlled by Formless, Almighty God. So, when death has been fixed by God, it will come at proper time and therefore cannot be defined as Akalmrityu.
So, procedure of daah-karma is one for all deaths. The question of shanti and mukti is solved when a person is alive and not after death. Human life is blessed by God to attain shanty and mukti, when we are alive, by following Vedic path under guidance of learned acharya. However, Yajyen with ved mantras can be performed for departed soul.

Yahaan ved mandir mein rehna aur bhojan free hai. Aur yahaan ka member banne ke liye koi form aadi nahin bhara jata. Yahaan ved, shastra- upnishads aadi granthon ka updesh diya jaata hai, agnihotra karne kee prerna aur ved vidya sunney ki prerna dee jaati hai. Prarambh se hee Brahmacharya, paropkar, meetha bolna, satya dharann karna aadi gunnon kee shiksha dee jatee hai. Yeh ashram Himachal Pradesh mein hai, yahaan aaney ke liye ya anya kisi jaankari ke liye aap mere shishye ke diye gaye number par contact karein.
