Mokshith: Namaskaram sir, nowadays we are using vehicles powered by petroleum and fossil fuels (indirectly in case of electric vehicles). My question is what does Vedas say about power generation? and are there any such power generation methods or vehicles mentioned in our puranas or itihas.
Swami Ram Swarup: Purans are man made books which cannot be compared with Vedas because Vedas emanates direct from God. So there are lot of difference between man made and God made matters. For example man can make a artificial banana from clay but original banana which can be eaten is made by prakriti under control of God. The detail is obtained in vedas about power generation like generating electricity in the shape of direct current and alternate current. So one will have to study vedas to get knowledge of the said matter.

Mokshith: Namaskaram Guruji, is there any Veda mantra which tells us how to strengthen our logical thinking, understanding and destroy our ignorance?
Swami Ram Swarup: Why not in Vedas there are several mantras who preach to destroy ignorance and to give strength to our logical thinking and understanding. But you see mantras are in a shape of praying God but to achieve the fruitful result we will have to do pious deeds, like agnihotra, yogabhyas, pranayama, name jaap etc., under guidance of a learned acharya of vedas.
