P B: For bringing up and to maintain family in today’s world is costly & difficult. One has to work day and night to make both ends meet. One hardly gets time to observe all rituals, do swadhyay, yoga, studying religious scriptures including Vedas, attain gyan etc. etc. There are lakhs of people caught in this dilemma. Swamiji, guide people like us ,as to how we must cope up with this situation,and also lead spiritual life.
Swami Ram Swarup: No doubt, to maintain a family, to fulfill their basic needs, has become very difficult nowadays. At this juncture, only spiritualism helps. First of all, one should be satisfied with his earnings and expenses therefore, be curtailed. We should not envy others. This is the path of spiritualism. Secondly, to get full blessings and increase the earnings, one should worship God both times, daily. Vedas state very well- “Vit yajyen kalpantaam” i.e., finance is obtained by those who do daily havan/Yajyen. As stated in Vedas, shastras etc., the main motto of the human-beings is to realise God to obtain salvation. Otherwise, to eat and sleep is the quality common to men, animals and birds. So, in the matter of daily worship, Yajyen etc., there is no excuse please from the side of Almighty God. Yet, it is true that when a person is involved in Vedic spiritualism, he gets all comforts and sufficient time for worship automatically. But those who never pay attention towards spiritualism, they always remain helpless. This is also fundamental law of Vedas. So, everybody must be brave and go ahead to get progress in spiritualism as well as in worldly affairs simultaneously because Yajurveda mantra 40/14 clearly states that a person should get progress in worldly pious affairs, science etc., as well as in spiritualism.

N: Pranam swamiji. In Rigveda in specific suktas goddess saraswati is invited and praised. Being praised in Vedas is it not ok to worship goddess saraswati? Beside that I’ve started doing havan on specific dates. just reading from nityam homa vidhi of Arya Samaj. I do achman, nyasa light fire and by reciting gayatri mantras offer ghee and at last do purnahuti. Is this method ok for doing Yajyen? Waiting for your guidance.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. The meaning of Saraswati in Vedas is Ved vanni. Vedas tell only to worship one, formless, Almighty God. He is eternal, everlasting, does not take birth, is unchangeable and unchallengeable. Yajyen and ashtang yoga practice is His best worship. I congratulate you that you have started doing havan.
