Q2) Meaning of mantra “om namah shivay” and its usefulness.

(1) Usually people say about sudden death (Akasmat Mrityu) but death is based on our previous lives’ deeds which is awarded by God Himself. However, death can be overcome and a person can get long, happy life if he does pious deeds according to Vedas and daily worship of God. Simultaneously, he discharges all his moral duties daily. The said law is made by God in Vedas- That Death can be avoided and overcome. No doubt, every one has to meet with death but by following Vedas’ path, life can be increased upto four hundred years.
(2) The meaning of the shloka-“Om Namah Shivay” is- Our Namaskar (respectful salutation, adoration) to Shiv. In Vedas, Shiv is the name of formless Almighty God. Shiv means He who is benevolent and only Formless God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe is benevolent to the universe.
Shashikant Pandey: Swamiji Namastey,when a person realised that he/she is in true love? is it true that ,if you really loves or like somebody from your heart ,you will definitely meet in future or in next birth?
Swami Ram Swarup: Namastey. Actually, true love is not based on physical charm only. It occurs soul to soul which remains everlasting. So when love occurs based on physical charms it can’t be defined as true love.

Swami Ram Swarup: Vivah ke liye ved kehte hain ki har din aur samay shubh hai isliye jyeshtha month mein bhi vivah shubh hai.

Swami Ram Swarup: My son, God helps those who help themselves. A person when works hard on right path and simultaneously he also worships God daily, then God helps him. As regards death, it is a vast matter. In short, I’ll tell you that we are alive souls and reside in human body. Body is separate and we are separate from body. Body is destroyed but we are immortal. Indulgence in illusion, we’ve forgotten our immortal form and as a result we think that we are body. So, when soul (we) go out from the body and body is dead everybody says that somebody has died. Actually, soul has gone out who is immortal.
