Swami Ram Swarup: To become Maharishi Dayanand, one should read his autobiography and do all the pious deeds which were done by him including adopting ascetism and becoming true sanyasi. To become great Vedic scholar, we will have to follow the path of Rishi Dayanand as briefed above. As briefed above, Vedas study will go in vain without advice of a learned acharya/guru. To need first or after, one should make regular contact with a learned acharya of Vedas and ashtang yoga philosophy.

As per modern scientist tell us human body has billions of living cells,germs,bacteria,virus….etc do all these have separate souls in addition to the one in the physical body?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Al living beings are souls, please. Naturally, all germs, bacteria, virus etc., have separate souls, that is why, those are required to be killed. As regards human body, it has one soul separately which resides as described below.
Soul has three places to reside in the human body. While awake, it remains in left eye. During dreams, in throat and while taking sound sleep, soul resides in heart, please. These stages have been named- Jagrat, Swapan and Sushupt respectively.
