Farooq Khan: Hii, my question is that vedas say that the earth is static. In Rigved 2/12/12 it is said that Oh man! He who made the trembling earth static is Indra. Second thing i want to ask that the Hindu demons worship any god of any religion?
Swami Ram Swarup: My regards to you. All vedas tell that earth revolves around the sun and rotates on its axis. (Yajurveda mantra 3/6 refers)
The mantra quoted by you does not tell about the earth. Infact the idea of Rigved mantra 2/12/12 is that the sun which has seven rays is the reason for causing rain by which rivers etc., are filled with water. Again the sun evaporates the water from the rivers, seas etc., into the space and again sends it back by rain. He is the God under WHOSE administration, fundamental laws, the whole world exists.

Swami Ram Swarup: Mera aapko ashirwad beti. You can sit only on sukhasan during that period and do name jaap. You can perform daily agnihotra also and any Yajyen.
