Sangeet: Why some people break a grass and throw it overhead while leaving cremation ground? Is it a Vedic Practice?
Swami Ram Swarup: Kukreja beta the action written by you about grass, is not mentioned in Vedas.
Anonymous: Namaskar guru ji meri mata aur dadi maa ka dehant isi varsh huwa tha un ko abi saal bhi nahi huwa arthaat unki varshik kriya etc nahi huwi hai tou kya un pitra puksh mai pind daan hoga kindly meri samasiya ka samadhaan shigr btaiye
Swami Ram Swarup: Beta Vedon mein pind daan, tewa, present astrology, bhoot puja, shradh etc, matters nahi kahe gaye hain isliye apramanik hone ke karan vedon ke gyata vidwan isey nahi mante. Is vishay mein main apna ek article paste karta hun. Aashirvad.
Shradh
The alive parents are to be served faithfully. Everybody knows that a person who is alive takes food, water, puts on clothes etc. After death body is burnt. Now how the parents will be able to take food. They according to the karmas get next birth too. So shradh is against the Vedas’ philosophy.
Ramduth: It is really a laudable effort to explain these mantras. Mantras without meaning is not recommendable. One book, the Saptashati, I tried to have the word by word meaning, but in vain. Please do inform if it is available somewhere or Swamiji has ever had a rendering or book about. I would be grateful to have the meanings. Reciting like a parrot does not motivate me. Hari Om.
Swami Ram Swarup: Beta in this connection, you may contact M/s. Govindram Hasananad
Nai sadak, Delhi. They will sure send you the Vedic book asked by you. Om.
