Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. The aim of all four Vedas is to attain salvation. While learning and following three education of the Vedas i.e., Gyan kand (study of all universal matters, science from Rigved), Karam Kand (form of pious deeds from Yajurved) and Upasana kand (knowledge of eternal worship of God like Yajyen/havan from Ved mantras, name jaap of God and hard practice of Ashtang Yoga philosophy).
Atharvaveda also give the knowledge of medical science, herbs, medicines and also about God/salvation. So, if a person/aspirant desires to attain salvation, he as per preach of the God in Vedas will have to listen and obey/follow preach of all four Vedas. Therefore, Vedas tell to get progress in both paths simultaneously i.e., worldly pious deeds i.e., discharging of moral duties and spiritualism.

Yajurveda mantra 19/38-
(AGAN) O learned father! You (PAVASAY) purify (NAHA) our (AAYUNGSHI) food grain etc., for a long life. Therefore, you (AA SUV) give us (OORJAM) valour/bravery/power and (EESHAM) perfection in desires.
Idea-
O learned father/elders! You should give us Vedic knowledge so that we became able to get long, happy life and (OORJAM) i.e., mental and physical power by maintaining Brahamcharya and (EESHAM) i.e., pious desires and not sinful desire etc., it becomes possible when our children are escaped from attaining bad society and are connected with the good society of learned acharya of Vedas.
(AAREY)O learned father! (BAADHASVA) remove/push away (DUCHHOONAAM) evil-hearted/sinful person (Aarey) who are away or near by us.
Idea-
So, if a learned father, grand-father, grand-mother or any other learned person of a family give pious teachings to the children and keep away always from bad society and also take care of them about providing nutritious food to increase their life then the children will be obedient and would serve parents at their old age.

(AGNIHI) form of knowledge (Rishihi) God (PAVMAANAHA) purify i.e., when a aspirant follow the vedic path traditionally by maintaining Brahamcharya etc., he becomes purified internally as well as externally. (PAANCH JANYAHA) God make us able so that our five senses follow only the pious path. (PUROHITAHA) He is our purohit i.e., all learned only worships Him and in turn God protects. (MAHAGAYAM) Give us the invaluable wealth in the form of four Vedas.(EEMAHE) We achieve (TAM) Him i.e., we must worship Him only so that we become able to get eternal, Vedic knowledge and our five senses only follow the pious lucky path.
Agne pavasva swapa asme varchaha suviryam.
Dadhadrayim mayi posham.

(AGNE) O form of knowledge! – because Vedic knowledge emanates from God (PAVASVA) purify us (SWAPAHA) you do always auspicious deeds i.e., knowledge, power and the deeds of Almighty God mentioned in Vedas are always auspicious and for well-being of all living beings. Those are natural i.e., takes place automatically at appropriate time. (ASME) O God! Within us (VARCHAHA) the divine glory and (DADHAT hold (RAYEE) glory/greatness (SUVIRYAM) good strength (POSHAM) nourishment (Mai)within me.
My dear daughter, the obstacles always come in the right path due to the effects of previous lives’ deeds etc. So, one must be brave to overcome it by daily struggle, hard-working and worshipping. Yog-shastra sutra 1/30 also tell about the obstacles – vyadhee, satyaan, sanshya, pramad, aalasaya, avirati, bhranti-darshan, alabdhboomikatva and anavasthitatva.

Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 state that we have been blessed with human-life by the God to face the result of our previous lives’ good and bad deeds in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. Further whatever we will do good and bad deeds in this life, we will face the same in the next birth. Next mantra of the Rigveda preaches that if a person/aspirant makes contact with learned acharya of Vedas/Ashtang Yoga philosopher, he becomes able to destroy his all good and bad deeds and attain salvation. So, all four Vedas preach us that the main motto of human-life is to attain salvation by Vedic worship.
