R: I am from the US. My husband had a serious health ailment and is recovering. I am doing as many services as I can as a wife. He wants to leave America and go back to India permanently. He wants to leave the family behind, he keeps saying lets go to India and learn Vedas and take Vanaprasthanam. My opinion is to stay in America where he gets good healthcare and my children have a life here and they have not been married so I want them married before we leave them alone. Please help me, I don’t want to leave America at this time with my kids not completely settled and my husband’s health situation. Please suggest me.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. No doubt that your views are according to Vedas. Vedas tell that you or your husband can leave the family responsibility after settling the children. So, your husband should also accept the Vedic preach. Then only he would be able to attain peace. So, you, your husband and your children should remain in USA till the education of your children is completed and they are well-settled there. Please convey my vedic views to your husband in loving manner and also convey my heartiest blessings for his long, happy life.
Rishabh Arya: Is there any limit of time period of moksh? If a time period exist than what are the logic behind this?
Swami Ram Swarup: There is no fixed time period of attaining moksh.
Anonymous: I am getting blamed for a health problem with my family member immediately after marriage. I want to have a good relations.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter.
Actually, due to the lack of knowledge of Vedas, people makes responsible to other innocent persons. In your case, the same situation arises. According to Vedas and especially Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 states that we have been blessed by God with human-body to face the result of our previous pious deeds and sins in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. Secondly, the deeds which will be done in the present life time, these will be borne in the future lives. The said fundamental law of the God explain in the Vedas by Him is not known by most of the people and hence problem.
According to the Vedas, you are not the reason for the accident of your father-in-law. However, at present, it is your moral duty to serve your father-in-law at your best, also says Vedas. So, you should never mind about the false allegations being imposed by your mother-in-law. Instead, you should serve her and you should never curse her in return. Time will come when everything will be Okay. A true person never loose patience and never become demoralized, inspite thousand’s of false allegations. So, when Vedas tell that you are not the reason of your father-in-law’s accident then you should never feel that your mother-in-law and others are blaming you or cursing you. Your mother-in-law is also innocent. She does not know Vedas, Shastras, Bhagwad Geeta and Upnishads preach i.e., why she is blaming you. So, on your part, you must always forgive her because she is respectable lady for you. She also does not know that the curse being imposed on you may give harm to her (Your mother-in-law) as stated in Atharvaveda mantra 6/37/1. So, please forgive her and never create any problem or hate against your respected mother-in-law. One thing is there which you can do is that try to make contact with any local learned acharya who knows Vedas. You and your husband can invite him in your house and may put forth your said problem before him in presence of your mother-in-law. The learned of Vedas will do the justice by telling the truth that you are not the reason behind the accident of your father-in-law. Really, I am also feeling sad after knowing about your problem but I have explained all the truth above and therefore, you need not to worry. Atharvaveda mantra 6/37/2 and 3 tell the bitter truth that those who impute the false blames and thus curse others their said action reverts back to them and they get destroyed badly like a tree which is struck by the lightening. Again my blessings to you, my daughter.
Ashtabhuja: What is Sutak (asauch)? How many types? and how to nibrit from sutak?
Swami Ram Swarup: In the house where delivery takes place, it should always be kept neat and clean, in addition, daily both times havan should be performed with Ved mantras which kill all the germs.
