Anonymous: What is “pachka or panchack” (a period when some rituals or works should not be performed specially an “antishthi kriya”) is there any information about it in the vedas? Or if so is there any specific ritiual/ceremony to ward off/nullify the effects of “panchak”?

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please. Pachka or Panchack etc., matter does not exist in Vedas. In fact, Vedas do not restrict worship in any circumstances.

Swami Ram Swarup: मेरा आपको आशीर्वाद बेटी। ईश्वर कृपा से मैं ठीक हूँ बेटी और आप सब परिवार को मेरा आशीर्वाद। आप अपने बेटे को पहले अग्निहोत्र करवा कर जनेऊ पहना दे, फिर वह घी की आहुति डाल सकता है। वैसे दीक्षा लेनी आवश्यक होती है। वह फिर कभी देखा जाएगा। वैसे तो कर्णभेद संस्कार तीन या पाँच वर्ष की आयु में होता है परन्तु जब कभी उसको लेकर आओगे तब कर्णभेद हो जाएगा। हाँ बेटी! सूखे हुए plants की समिधाएँ बनाकर उनसे अग्निहोत्र किया जा सकता है। परिवार को आशीर्वाद बेटी।

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Beti Yajyen is performed in presence of Brahma, here Brahma means learned of four vedas. So, if Brahma, a learned acharya can be arranged with respect, at home, then Yajyen can be performed there also.
