Prasad: Pranam swamiji. Swamiji my question is as we all know that one cannot select ones parents i.e. mother or father than what are those karm that decide this relation and does one have same parents in his next birth? Swamiji please try to solve this mystery for me.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. In several cases, parents remain alive and a child dies. So, naturally, when the soul of child will get new birth, within thirteen days, as per Yajurveda chapter 39, his parents will be new. Similarly, children remain alive and parents go to heavenly abode. Naturally, the parents will get next birth either in human life or in other yonis. So, the present children will never get same parent. The philosophy of pious /bad deeds is very much typical to understand. Yet, the learned, based on his hard Tapasya, gets success to understand it. To, have good or bad parents is based on previous lives’ deeds of a child.

Swami Ram Swarup: Future is based on pious deeds, hard working towards a right path and God helps those who help themselves. It depends on your hard working and pious deeds. One should worship God daily to get His blessings in every matter. Good job, education, richness, happiness etc., is the result of previous life’s pious deeds and present life’s hard working, dedication, devotion, hard-working, honesty etc. And in this life one should always also do real worship of God to finish the obstacles if any which may be due to previous life’s bad deeds. So worship is always required along with hard working, devotion, dedication towards right path to get progress in the life.
