DS: Guruji yajurved 23/19 mantra there are 2 famous bhashyas of this mantra, first one is Mahidara, 2nd is Swami Dayanand ji. Mahidara came up with a gory meaning, while Swamiji got anything else. They both read Sanskrit grammar then why is this difference? Mahidara wrote about animal sacrifice. We get many archaeological evidences from 1000-1500 years old temple where this type of animal sacrifice and gory pictures are shown. And what is your base to reject Mahidara’s bhashya and accepting Swami Dayanand ji, Please write explaination of that mantra with proper evidence of Sanskrit grammar or Nirukt please. And one more, if I come to Ved Mandir, can you please also teach me darshan and vyakran?
Swami Ram Swarup: Dear son nowadays I am very much busy in spiritual pious deeds in addition I am writing a book based on Vedic philosophy so presently I am not able to teach you. However, at least after three months, you can contact me again.
Now, I simply answer your question regarding animal sacrifice. You know fundamentally vedas condemn all types of violence (hinsa) so naturally the speak on the said sacrification of animals by Mahidara is not acceptable.
