Ramesh: Swamiji, According to the holy Bible ” human beings are sin” but according to our Vedas and Bhagavadgeeta “we are divine created by the God” would you substantiate the same.
Swami Ram Swarup: The meaning of human beings as sinner is that present birth of human –life is blessed on the basis of sins and pious deeds. Suppose, a soul has become free from all sins then he will not acquire human body but will enjoy divine pleasure of salvation. Secondly, according to Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 we’ve taken birth to face the deeds of previous lives’ sins as well as pious deeds in the shape of sorrows and happiness and due to lack of knowledge of Vedas, result of sins/deeds done in present life will be born in next birth. However, according to Rigveda mantra 10/135/3, 4, those who make contact with learned acharya of Vedas and follow his teachings of Vedas, shastras, holy granths, they became capable of destroying the effect of sins and attain salvation. So, the main aim of human life is to attain salvation.

Shishya: Namaste Maharaj ji…hope you are fine. What to do when mind is totally depressed? I can’t explain what’s going on.. I know only you can understand.. Please tell me what
to do? There is no one with whom I can share..
Swami Ram Swarup: Namasteji. I’m fine thank you and wish the same for you. The reasons for depression are two-(1) when we face the result of previous lives’ bad deeds. (2) Indulgence in illusion i.e., lack of knowledge of Vedas. The above quoted situation can be destroyed by everyone. It is in his power, say Vedas. In this situation, the knowledge is required to be gained from a learned acharya. So, if possible, you may come here otherwise you must devote time in doing hawan both times, meditation, name jaap and study of holy Vedic books, if the books are not available with you, you can send your address to dispatch the same to you, if you desire. Please, always try to keep yourself busy in pious deeds. But the best way is to come to me here, one should always be brave and should never be demoralized. Coward people cannot attain peace and I hope you are not coward. My blessings are always with you.
