Ghanshyam: What is yog karma?
Swami Ram Swarup: The deeds done on the matter of yog vidya can be told yog karma. Second, the Vedic pious deeds like yaj, agnihotra, name simran etc., when done to realize God, these deeds can also be told as yog karma.
DS: Namaskar guruji. My family is kattar vaishnav family but I got know about arya amaj and you. and following vedic path since then. I want to know, can i do agnihotra with mantras like gayatri mantra, maha mritunjay mantra and “यो भूतं च भव्य च सर्व यश्चाधितिष्ठति। स्वर्यस्य च केवलं तस्मै ज्येष्ठाय ब्रह्मणे नम” because I can’t pronounce advance Sanskrit texts they are very hard for me, and can I do agnihotra without yagyopavit? I don’t have any arya samaj near me , and sometimes I get some thoughts that god not exists because of lack of knowledge. I still watch pravachans of you and many other arya samajis and trying hard to find the truth. My parents will not give me money now to buy your books but I am trying hard to follow the vedic path. Please answer the following questions and give me your blessings.
Swami Ram Swarup: My dear son, In the beginning you can perform daily hawan from Gayatri mantra, maha-mrityunjay mantra and यो भूतं च भव्य……………..together. Then you must try to come to me or to rep of Arya Samaj to learn more about Vedas. My blessings are always with you my son.
