ATHARVAVEDA KAND 19, SUKTA 60, MANTRA 1, 2-

The idea of these mantras is as follows:-

The aspirant pray to God that may his speech always be
sweet and humble, may his power of hearing remain
impaired even in old age, may his eye-sight
remain-correct, may his hair remain naturally colored,
may his teeth remain strong and fit, may his arms,
thighs carry strength, may his body acquire physical
as well as mental power, may his feet remain with
steady gait and may not tremble and may he (the soul)
not indulge in sins and impious deeds/vices. May there
be no gap in between his bones.

But his health and long life can only acquired
after observing strict brahmacharya etc. The aspirant
further says that may he acquire the age of long,
happy life by observing the preach of Vedas in his
life. Oh God! Please fill my life with bliss and
divine pleasure says the aspirant and make me the
favourite of learned i.e., one who is liked by
learned.

Atharvaveda kand 11, sukta 3:-

When a person comes to a true learned Acharya of Vedas
and yoga philosophy to gain knowledge but he fails to
gain the knowledge due to his carelessness, laziness
or other bad habits etc., and uses his five senses,
five perceptions and mind for his selfish motto/sins
etc. Then God in Vedas states that the Acharya says
to the aspirant that if anyone does not consume
brahmaudanam fairly but does sins under the garb of
being religious or being spiritual then God punishes
him by destroying his future generations and immersing
him in the sea of sorrows.

Acharya therefore strictly guides that one
should never take shelter i.e., misuse spiritual
knowledge to enjoy pleasures and merriment of three
lokas i.e., make the materialistic articles the source
of his enjoyment but only to attain God.
If the aspirant has the only aim to attain
God and concentrates and adopts Vedas preach for such
purpose then God helps him and blesses him to reach
the stage of final liberation where there is nothing
but divine bliss and pleasure and no place for
sorrows.

The idea of the four Vedas is very much clear that
such saints, gurus or sadhus who do sins taking the
shelter of the holy name of God are punished badly by
God as above. Therefore no one must go against the
eternal knowledge of Vedas.

ATHARVAVEDA KAND 11, SUKTA 3:-

In these Atharvaveda mantras of kand 11 sukta 3 God
gives knowledge to human beings to acquire Vedas・
knowledge, the actual nutrition of the soul, for all
happiness.

Here the Atharvaveda preaches that if
anyone enjoys worldly pleasure, good food and assets
then these are meant for body alone. The soul does not
get benefited by this. Then this unrighteous worldly
merriment eats away the human body and soul i.e.,
degenerates it and causes its downfall. Thus if the
soul through human body gets totally engrossed in
worldly pleasure ignoring spiritualism then it is not
the delicious food that he eats but the food only eats
him away. The soul gets caught up in cycle of death
and births (prakriti charka). Such soul is then
abandoned by prann and apaan breath i.e., he meats
with early death and faces sorrows in the present life
and as well as after death.

The Acharya says to the disciple/aspirant
that he believed and put in conduct the theory of
Idannaman i.e., he only utilized the worldly articles
and facilities for the sake of attaining final
liberation. Therefore the food could not eat him away.
Acharya says that by consuming brahmaudanam i.e., by
listening Vedas preach , yajyen and practice of yoga
philosophy he finished away completely the vices like
anger, pride ,greed, attachment and so should be done
by the disciple.

ATHARVAVEDA KAND 11, SUKTA 3, MANTRA 19-25:-

The idea of these mantras is-
The pious preach uttered by a Rishi in yajyen is
Brahmaudanam i.e., food or nutrition of soul.
The three lokas i.e., earth, space and heavenly
bodies emitting light are benefited by this
Brahmaudanam in Yajyen.
Almighty God, who survives the final
destruction i.e., remains even after final
destruction, creates all the directions and from Him
directly emanate the four Vedas.
Vedas or Brahmaudanam gives the knowledge that
God is omnipresent. Just as water is taken in by the
roots of the tree and it reaches the top most stem and
even far away branches and leaves similarly the preach
of Vedas when absorbed by the aspirants from the
Acharya then it percolates into their bodies and soul
and gives them divine pleasure/bliss.
God fills the aspirants with divine pleasure.

ATHARVAVEDA MANTRA 9/10/6-

The mantra states that divine voice of Vedas speaks to
the aspirant who carefully and respectfully listens
and chants the Ved mantras i.e., the divine Vedvanni
enlightens the mind of the aspirant with the wisdom.
The underlying idea is that Vedas emanate direct from
God. God being immortal, alive entity hence the
vedvanni which emanates from God also has the same
divine qualities i.e., Vedas are also immortal, alive
and divine. Vedas respond to the aspirant who listens
with concentration to them from the learned Acharya.
Vedas enlighten the mind of aspirant i.e., make him
capable to decide was is truth and untruth, good and
bad, right and wrong so that the aspirant abandons bad
deeds and indulges completely in pious conduct as per
Vedas. Vedas’ divine vanni then loves such aspirants
and bestows on him all happiness and divine pleasure.

ATHARVAVEDA KAND 8, SUKTA 9, MANTRA 2-

“YO AKRANDAYATSALILAM MAHITVA YONIM KRITVA TRIBHUJAM SHYANAHA,
VATSAHO KAAMDUGHO VIRAAJAHA SA GUHA CHAKRE TANVAHA PARAACHAIHI”

Atharvaveda mantra 8/9/2 beautifully describes some of the unlimited qualities of God. Therefore we must worship the God whose glory and greatness has been
described by God Himself in Vedas. It will be a self-made worship against Vedas if we worship the God made and assumed by anyone and whose qualities do not
tally with Vedas. Mantra states that God is the one who through His great, unparallel, divine power makes the calm/dead/in active prakriti active. The non-alive said prakriti thus seems to roar like a lion, etc.

Then only the prakriti gets ready for the process of creation. Hence, the alive power of God works in the non-alive prakriti to begin the creation of universe.
That is why, God is called Nimit-Upadan karann(reason for creation) of the universe.

Further mantra states that the three qualities/gunnas(raj, tam, satva) of prakriti are like its three arms. God as if makes the prakriti, the rest-house and sleeps therein. The underlying meaning of the statement is that once the final destruction of
the universe (Mahapralaya) has been brought about then nothing remains except God, prakriti and jeevatmas in unconscious state(except the liberated souls who
witness the process of creation). Now therefore the silent period between two creations may be presumed as if God has made prakriti the rest house in which he
sleeps.

Mantra also states that God is like the ideal son who fulfills all needs, desires and just demands of His parents. He provides the souls with bodies and entire universe for their utilization. He gives everything to human-beings for survival.
Therefore we must worship the God who creates human bodies for souls to live in.

Mantra highlights another greatest quality of God that God only associates and unites human-beings to divine Vedas knowledge to attain salvation.

At last the mantra states that aspirants should strive to know the God harbouring such great qualities through tapasya. As per Vedas tapasya(chastity) means performing yajyen, donating to learned and deserving, controlling five senses,
perceptions, observing non-violence, listening Vedas preach from learned and to adopt the teachings of Vedas in conduct.

Atharvaveda also known as “Brahmaveda” by the learned, highlights the in numerable benefits bestowed by Ved vanni i.e., divine voice of Vedas or Ved mantras on the aspirants.

Atharvaveda kand6, sukta 62, mantra 2 gives proof that Ved vanni has emanated direct form almighty God for the benefit of entire mankind irrespective of any
cast, creed or sect. It drives away all sorrows. The mantra inspires the aspirant to adopt eternal, immortal Ved vanni and began its study i.e., to listen the preach of Vedas from the learned Acharya and then to follow its teachings in conduct. Vedas’s knowledge is divine and unlimited and when adopted it bestows all assets, wealth, glory, pleasure on the aspirant.

In mantra 3 Almighty God states that Vedas’ knowledge purifies the aspirant and annihilates all his sins. The aspirant is attached to pious deeds and conduct.
By the knowledge of Vedas, the aspirant finishes all his vices like anger, pride, greed, sensuality etc., and becomes a pure soul if he continues the listening/study of Vedas in his life regularly.

Sukta 63 mantra 1 of kand 6 of Atharvaveda furnishes the proof that eternal knowledge of Vedas gives divine pleasure/bliss to the aspirant. Bestowes on him
strength, long life and health.

Atharvaveda contains complete knowledge of medical science to enable the human beings to lead a long, healthy life free from any kind of disease.

Atharvaveda highlights the importance of water in the life of human beings. Mantra 1 of sukta 4 of kand 1 of Atharvaveda is the proof to the fact that yajyen purifies water of reservoirs and such water when consumed gives energy, strength and eliminates diseases.

Mantra 3:- states that when such water is consumed by cows then they give best milk having the best qualities.

Mantra 4:- states that water is divine drink (amrit) and panacea to all diseases.

Mantra 1 of sukta 5 gives the knowledge that consumption of water makes the body free from diseases, increases strength and proportionate weight of body and also keeps the power of speech correct.

Mantra 3 of sukta 5 states that water keeps the power of propogation correct.

Mantra 1 of sukta 6 emphatically declares that water when consumed fights the diseases and protect us from all types of germs and makes us fearless from contracting any disease.

Mantra 2 states that water contains all medicines with in itself. Hence fire and water together gives us peace.

Therefore consumption of pure water gives long, healthy life. Hence, every one should take atleast twenty glasses of water every day and always do Yajyen to purify water of rivers, streams and others reservoirs.

Overall the benefit of the water is obtained when we perform Yajyen daily, say the Vedas.

ATHARVAVEDA KAND 2, SUKTA 36, MANTRA 4:-

The whole 36 of second kand of Atharvaveda deals with
the qualities of ideal wife, husband and the family
life that they should lead. For example:- Mantra 4 of
Atharvaveda kand 2, sukta 36 lays stress on the fact
that:

She is the ideal wife who (PATYA AVIRADHYANTI)
is not antagonistic to her husband and does not oppose
him. There should be complete understanding and
equation between the husband and the wife.

In the mantra God has made beautiful comparison
between a small cave in the jungle to a small house of
a family. God gives knowledge that just as the small
cave appears lovely to the animals who live in that
cave and gives them comfort similarly, even if the
house is small and not palestial, yet it should be
light by the house wife and made comfortable by all
means by her to live in and whole family must live
therein happily whether the house is small or big.

ATHARVAVEDA KAND 2, SUKTA 36, MANTRA 5-

The idea of the next mantra 5 is that the family life
must always be full of pleasure and peace. In the
family, there must not be any shortage of money, food
and other goods for which hard working must be done to
earn the money. The married life also, Brahamcharya
(celibacy) and control all five senses, five
perceptions and mind is necessary otherwise the mental
and the physical power will be weakened, with the
result nothing can be done.

However, it is observed
that the richest or middle class family do not seem to
be happy. One must search the reason thereof and the
reason will be, that inspite of having all assets
people do not feed themselves with the spiritualism
i.e., eternal knowledge of Vedas, holy granths etc. To
make one self happy with the source of assets will
always go in vain. The human life is meant to get
progress in science, worldly pious affairs as well as
in spiritualism simultaneously.

Those who do not know the said fact get
mostly indulged in gathering the materialistic
articles etc., and in the end i.e., in old age they
feel themselves failed. So spiritual knowledge is must
which makes the human life long and happy.

With the grace of God, chanting of each mantra of
Samveda along with divine preach unveiling the
knowledge of entire Samveda was completed by His
Holiness, Swami Ram Swarupji, Yogacharya yesterday the
29th of May 2007 and chanting as well as preach on
Atharvaveda mantras began today, the 30th of May
2007 for the benefit of 1000’s of devotees and mankind
in general.

One of the mantras explained today is as follows:-
” NIHISALAAM DHRISHNNUM DHISHANNMEKVADYAAM
JIGHATSAVM SARVAACHANDASYA NAPTYO NASHYAAMAHA
SADAANVAHA”
(ATHARVAVEDA MANTRA 2/14/1)

The happiness of any family depends on the
educational and moral status of the wife. That is if
the wife is learned and conducts her life as per the
rules of Vedas then her family sails in happiness,
contentment and bliss. This is also applicable for the
husband.

Atharvaveda mantra 2/14/1 enlists the
drawbacks of a woman so that the females know about
the same and be alert not to harbour them within
themselves.

The mantra states that a
(1). Female who (Nihi salaam) i.e., creates an
atmosphere of differences, arguments and fights within
a family and drifts the family members apart,
(2). Dhrishnnum i.e., creates an atmosphere of fear
and uncertainity within the family.
(3). Dhishnnum:- insults the elders.
(4). Ekvadyam:- is stubborn and speaks harshly.
(5). Sarvaya Chandasya naptayaha:- is full of anger.
(6). Sadaanvahaa:- talkative
(7) Jighatsvam:-such female who is voracious eater
is peeshachi i.e., evil female as per the
mantra and should be Nashyamaha i.e., turned out of or
made to leave the house. The same drawbacks are also
seen in the husband which must be burnt by Vedic
knowledge.

Hence, the wife has been given the
moral responsibility to maintain unity of the house,
weild, cheerful face always respect elders and always
strive to build a beautiful, clean house.

S

MANTRA 793-
“MITRAM VYAM HAWAAMAHE VARUNNAM SOMPEETAYE YA JATA POOTDAKSHASA”

This Samveda mantra is connected with previous three
mantras 790,791 and 792. In the previous mantras God
states to do daily yajyen/havan to please Him by which
God is pleased and gives us blessings. Then only an
aspirant becomes able to do prannayam etc. So yoga
philosophy is in Vedas and Vedas first state to do
yajyen in which aspirant comes to know the unlimited
qualities of God and then only he loves God. Without
listening and knowing the true, unlimited qualities of
God, no one will be able to love God so as to worship
Him. In our daily life too until parents of a girl or
boy know the good qualities of the two, they do not
accept engagement. Then how without knowing the true
qualities of God from Vedas, a man can love God and
can do real worship of God like yajyen and yoga
practice. In the ancient times, the worship was
started by listening Vedas from learned, Acharya and
doing yajyen/havan and then only people loved and
worshipped God truly. As said in Rigveda mantra 2/38/9
the fundamental law of God in every moment and
nowadays too remains unchanged. So we must always
check ourselves whether we have listened immortal and
unlimited qualities of God and process of real worship
of God from Vedas or not.

MEANING:- (MITRAM) Prann i.e., breathing air and
(VARUNNAM) apaan i.e., breathing air (PRANN) moves in
nostril whereas apaan move from rectum(HAWAAMAHE) we
call i.e., we use. The idea of the mantra is that a
yogi attains the som i.e., divine merriment by hard
practice of Yam, Niyam, Asan and then Prannayam. Then
he reaches at the stage of Samadhi i.e., Som or
Asampragyat Samadhi i.e., realization of God. So the
meaning of attaining Som is the yogi who experiences
divine pleasure of realizing God.

Mantra 793 states that (AYAM) we the aspirants who
perform yajyen (SOM PEETYE) to realize the divine
pleasure of Almighty God. We should control Prann and
Apan, i.e., do prannayam.

However, practice of Yam, Niyam and Asan is
indespensible before doing prannayam and when we do
prannayam then our prann and apan become more
energetic, strong, minute and purified and give us
immense strength, long life etc. Hence, we must always
do yajyen and prannayam to attain blessings and divine
pleasure of Almighty God.

MANTRA:-
“AGNIMAGNIM HAWEEBHIHI SADAA HAWANTUN VISHPATIM HAVYAVAHAM PURUPRIYAM”

SAMVEDA 791:- In this Samveda mantra, God furnishes
the proof that to attain the happy, blissful and long
life, one must always offer aahuties in daily
yajyen/havan. In the mantra, Almighty God has been
addressed as “VISHPATIM” i.e., the lord of entire
universe. He is “HAVYA VAAHAM” means bestower of every
material and happiness to us i.e., He gives us i.e.,
(the souls) body and all three lokas along with
materials, assets and resources either to attain
moksha or to indulge in worldly enjoyment, sensuality
etc. The learned always accept the path of worship
according to Vedas to attain moksha and others enjoy
materialistic articles to enjoy worldly pleasures and
ruin their lives.

Mantra states god is “PURUPRIYAM” i.e., loved by
many and “HAVIBHIHI HAWANTAM” i.e., we must offer
aahuties with ved mantras in the pious fire of
havan-kund and always do yajyen/havan and remember God
through ved mantras which is the best worship of God
as told by Vedas.

Swamiji recited several Samveda mantras and the
aspirants offered pious aahuties thereof in the pious
burning fire as usual. Swamiji explained the meaning
of each word of the several ved mantras with deep
ideas thereof. Here Samveda mantra 1105’s idea is as
under:-

God bestows 60,000 benefits to the person who does
Yajyen. These 60,000 benefits annihilate the external
as well as internal enemies like anger, pride, greed,
attachment, sensuality etc. These 60,000 benefits are
the results or fruits bestowed by God on the performer
of yajyen just as when a person shakes the branches of
the tree laiden with fruits, then the fruits fall into
the lap of the person. Similarly, when a person goes
to sacred place(in hindi the tirth) i.e., pious place
where learned of Vedas, i.e., Rishi, Muni, Tapasvi,
recites ved mantras and people do yagya-havan there
and Rishi-Munis preach the ved mantras explaining
word- meanings and idea thereof and the Rishi-Munis do
Ashtang yoga practice as well as they teaches the
Ashtang yoga philosophy to the needy persons. And the
person follow the said teachings practically then he
becomes pure, (leaves the sins) and gets 60,000 assets
to take victory against internal as well as outer
enemies.

“AA TVA SAKHAYAHA SAKHYA VAVRITYUSTIRAHA PURU
CHIDARNNVAAM JAGAMYAHA, PITURNAPATAMA DADHEET VEDHA
ASMIN KSHYE PRATARAAM DEEDYANAHA”

SAMVEDA MANTRA 340:- Samveda being upasana kand not
only gives knowledge regarding real worship of God but
also praises God describing His divine qualities.

The idea of mantra 340 is that when we praise and
worship God as per the Vedas(i.e., with Ved mantras in
yajyen) then God becomes our friend and well wisher.
Since the friend is always a source of pleasure,
happiness and comfort for another friend, in the
mantra the aspirant prays that may he blessed with the
friendship of Almighty God. May they both (i.e., the
aspirant as well as the God) deal with each other as
friends. But to seek the friendship of God it is
necessary that we act according to Vedas and become
free from illusion since God is also free from
illusion, only then can we please Him.

The mantra states that God invisibly pervades all
seas, oceans and space, i.e., to say that God is
omnipresent yet can’t be perceived through organs.

Further God is “VEDHAHA” i.e., He holds the
entire universe in a special manner i.e., the planets
remain in equilibrium in space with respect to each
other due to the power of God.

Just as father takes care of his child, so does
God nurture us. The whole universe is enlightened due
to the divine light of God who is present in each and
every particle of the universe. God is omnipresent.
Therefore He is also present in every space. Yet He is
above the three lokas and remains always unseen.

END:- We should worship God harbouring such qualities
mentioned in Vedas and none else.

“INDRAYE GIRO ANISHITSARGA APAHA PRARYATSAGRASYA
BRADHNAAT YO AKSHENNEV CHAKRIYAV SHACHIBHIR VISHVAK
TASTAMB PRITHVIMUT DYAM”.

MANTRA 339:- Samveda is the “UPASANA KAND” which mainly gives knowledge regarding worship of God. The divine voice of Vedas forms a part of eternal tradition of the countless cycles of creation, nursing, destruction and again creation of universe
brought about by the power of Almighty God. That is to say that in every new creation, Vedas’ knowledge is originated in the heart of four Rishis who then traditionally propagate the same among other human-beings. In Rigveda mandal 10, sukta 129 onwards God has briefed about the creation. He further asks as to who knows the activities taking place regarding the process of creation. It is very clear that nobody
knows because no human being in human body was present there because they were awaiting birth. Further God states in the mantra that after creation knowledge of
Vedas spreads and people as well as learned know about the said activities of the creation. So the idea of the above Rigveda mantra of mandal 10 is that he who
knows the full method of the creation is called learned Acharya. After clarifying the above preach Swamiji described full Samveda mantra 339, the idea of which is as follows:

The mantra clarifies that we should pray, worship and praise God through ved mantras which are applicable to every person universally. In the mantra divine, supreme qualities of Almighty God have been mentioned and give us knowledge that we must worship
the God who harbours the said qualities out of unlimited qualities.

The mantra states that (INDRAYE) for the God we must recite (ANEESHIT SARGAHA) eternal (GIRAH) Ved mantras in His praise. The God (SAGARASYE BRADHNAAT APAHA PRERYAT) inspires the clouds to cause rain i.e., God
brings about timely rains by inspiring the clouds to shed their water in different areas. The mantra states another divine quality of God that (PRITHVEEM UT DYAM
VISHVAK TASTAMBH) god holds the heavenly bodies emitting light in the space and the moving earth from all sides. Idea behind is that the God holds the entire earth, planets and universe including heavenly bodies emitting light in a balanced manner without the
support of any pillar etc. Hence, we must only worship the God harbouring such few divine qualities out of its unlimited qualities. God is omnipresent i.e., He is present in each and every molecule of the universe. Further, God brings about timely rains by
inspiring the clouds to shed their waters in a particular area.

END:- We must know that God is one and other than the one whose qualities are mentioned in Vedas including above said mantras, there is no God who has said
divine qualities.

With the grace of God, chanting of each mantra of Yajurveda (comprising of 40 Adhyaaya) along with divine preach unveiling the knowledge of entire Yajurveda was completed by His Holiness, Swami Ram Swarupji, Yogacharya yesterday the 23rd of May
2007 and chanting as well as preach on Saamveda mantras began today, the 24th of May 2007 for the benefit of 1000’s of devotees and mankind in general.

One of the mantras explained today is as follows:-
“TVAMAGNE GRIHAPATISTVAM HOTA NO ADHWARE TVAM POTA
VISHWAVAAR PRACHETA YAKSHI YASI CHA VARYAM.”

MANTRA 61:-

The mantra glorifies the importance of Yajyen and signifies that it is the best worship of God. In this mantra the devotees pray to God and say that Oh! God you are the Yajman i.e., organizer of Yajyen. Hence you only bless us and provide us with money, resources, hawan samgiri etc., to do hawan. Mantra states (Tvam hota) i.e., Oh God you are the
administrator of our Yajyen and ensure that no hinderances/obstacles in the form of enemies who continue to obstruct yajyen etc., ruin our Yajyen.

Mantra further states (Tvam pota) i.e., God you are the purest and purify us also. (Pracheta) you i.e., God enlighten our minds and give us divine inspirations to do Yajyen and (yakshi) you only perform the Yajyen and (Varyam) give us the beautiful
result of Yajyen.

Hence, the mantra gives the knowledge that God manifests Himself in Yajyen, Yajyen is the best worship of God and God inspires human beings to do Yajyen, the most pious deed in Vedas. The deep study of the above said mantra would reveal that pious deed of Yajyen is not difficult to perform, because the aspirant when will make little efforts then mantra states that God Himself will be Yajman, administrator and performer i.e., all the arrangement will be blessed by the God Himself. The aspirant will also be blessed by God with the pious result thereof. All the actions etc., will be in the hands of God. So God helps those who help themselves.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 32/1.
“tadevagneestadaadityastadvayustadu chandramaha,
tadev shukram tad brahma ta aapaha sa prajapatihi”

Idea:- The mantra beautifully enumerates some of the unlimited names of God. The mantra states that God i.e., the God whose qualities and greatness has been discussed in previous mantras, is “Agnihi” i.e., He is omnipresent and is present before the creation. His name is chanted before the beginning of any pious work. His name is also “Adityaha” meaning that he brings about the destruction of universe at a stipulated time but Himself remains invisible. He cannot be broken into pieces. “Vayu” is also known to be God’s name. Just as air gives life by means of breathing system, God also gives life to entire
universe. Air can cause immense destruction when it blows violently similarly God also punishes mankind according to their karmas by causing cyclones, floods etc and creates final destruction also. God is also named as “Chandrama” just as moon symbolizes peace and serenity. Similarly God is form of divine peace and serenity and bestows the same to the aspirant when he worships God. God is also called “Shukram” i.e., omnipotent and purest of pure. “Brahma” is also God’s name which means the greatest of all. Further “Aapaha” is also known to be God’s name i.e., purest of pure. Just as water quenches the thirst, gives satisfaction and coldness. God awards the same qualities to the devotees. Therefore His name is Aapaha. He is “Prajapati” i.e., He is lord of entire universe
comprising of all living beings and non-living things and nurses all. Lastly, we must only worship the God harbouring such divine qualities amongst unlimited other qualities mentioned in Vedas.

live happily and sleeps i.e., taking the said assets, he becomes lazy. Those assets do not command on me and I am not under the control of the assets. Therefore I
utter true voice for survival of pranns i.e., breath true voice for, and for vyan.

Idea:- We live on breathing system which contains special five breaths i.e., Pran, apan, Vyan, samaan and udan. Here the idea is that oh God! Wealth mostly makes a man lazy and lack of hard work etc. As a result, such persons mostly remain in tension, problems and even sick. And their breathing system gets disrupted too. Oh! God to make my breathing system work well and to live a long happy life
happily, I always speak truth according to the eternal knowledge of Vedas and work hard to live upon and to worship God. Mantra also states that all mothers,
fathers and elders must educate their children that even if children get the parent’s property yet they should always work hard and must not sit idle
otherwise.

So through this mantra Almighty God warns the human beings about the ill effect of the accumulation of the wealth to a person who does not do Yajyen.

The mantra states that a son should not eye his father’s, grandfathers or ancestral property. Infact, it is his moral duty that through his hard work, skills and entrepreneurship he should himself generate assets and earn money for his own living as well as for supporting his family because wherever money, wealth, assets accumulate and if that place is devoid of worship of God i.e., Yajyen, yoga, hard labour etc., then it generates vices like laziness, pride, lack of hard work etc.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 10/3:-

Vedas contain complete knowledge right from straw to
Brahma . Yajurveda being karmakand i.e., gives
knowledge of every deed and describes in detail the
duties of a king:-

MANTRA 10/3:- As per this mantra God entrusts certain
duties on the king who should strive hard to fulfill
them according to Vedas. Some of these entrusted below
are:-

1. The king must ensure that his treasury is full.
2. He should keep his army fit, healthy and strong.
3. His kingdom should be inhabited by people with
strong character where wives are devoted to their
husbands and sons and daughters observe strict
Brahamcharya(celibacy) for which he must arrange the
learned of Vedas to preach the eternal knowledge of
Vedas door to door.
4. The king should protect the kingdom just as mother
protects the womb.
5. He must ruin the enemies of the country and
protect the learned, gentlemen, women and children.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 7/1:-

“VACHASPATYE PAVASA VRISHNNOANSHUBHYAM GABHASTIPUTAHA,
DEVODEVABHYAHA PAVASVA YESHAM BHAGOASI”.

(VACHASPATYE) to realize the Almighty God from whom the knowledge of Vedas emanates (PAVASVA) be pure (ANSHUBHYAM) and to be the master in the dealing of
internal and outer behaviour, morally (GABHASTIPUTAHA) becoming pure with the knowledge of the Vedas (DEVAHA) and a learned (PAVASVA) aspirant
becomes the purest (DEVOBHYAHA) by regular contact and services of the learned Acharya (YESHAM) in whose contact (BHAGAHA ASI) and services he remains.

MEANING:- To realize the Almighty God from whom the knowledge of Vedas emanates be pure and to be the master in the dealing of internal and outer behaviour,
morally becoming pure with the knowledge of the Vedas and a learned aspirant becomes the purest by regular contact and services of the learned Acharya in whose contact and services he remains.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 7/1:- Reveals the secret of attaining purity. It states that if an aspirant desires to gain the knowledge of Vedas then he should first become pure. Both outward and inward purity is required. To become pure exteriorly, one should have clean habits, should keep the body clean by taking bath daily, should wear clean clothes and eat pure vegetarian healthy food etc. To achieve purity, interiorly, one should observe yam, niyam and do asan, prannayam. This first minimizes and then gradually finishes the inner enemies like anger, lust, greed, pride, etc.

The purity is attained by aspirant by serving his learned Acharya of Vedas and Yoga philosophy. So the regular contact with the learned Acharya,
rendering services to him and the sincere desire to attain the vedas’ knowledge to be pure etc., as said above and to realize God(which is the main aim of
human life) is the path to be adopted by an aspirant to attain his motto.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 5/40:-

MANTRA:- Oh! (AGNE) learned (VRATPAHE) you stand firm
on the truth and practise the same in the life.
(VRATPAHE ABHOOT) as you follow the true path and
rules of Vedas of mine similarly (TE) I too follow the
true path preached by you. (TANUHU) your body which is
meant for attaining the knowledge of Vedas (MAYI) may
the same knowledge retain within me and you always
shower blessings (ESHA TVAYI) and the purest mind
which you have attained (MAYI) may the said mind by
retained by me.

MEANING:- Oh! learned you stand firm on the truth and
practise the same in the life. As you follow the true
path and rules of Vedas of mine similarly I too follow
the true path preached by you. Your body which is
meant for attaining the knowledge of Vedas may the
same knowledge retain within me and you always shower
blessings and the purest mind which you have attained
may the said mind by retained by me.

IDEA:- He only becomes the Acharya who observes the
fundamentals/principle laid down in Vedas and strictly
adheres to them.

Hence the eternal knowledge of Vedas which the
acharya beholds must be acquired by the aspirant.
However, Vedas state that the said knowledge is only
acquired by aspirant when he serves the acharya with
heart and soul to satisfy him.

Therefore, as per Vedas, he is the real Acharya
and true disciple of His Acharya who strictly follow
the path of Vedas in action.

With the grace of God, chanting of each mantra of Rigveda (comprising of 10 mandals) along with divine preach unveiling the knowledge of entire Rigveda was completed by His Holiness, Swami Ram Swarupji, Yogacharya yesterday the 17th of May 2007 and chanting as well as preach on Yajurveda mantras began today, the 18th of May 2007 for the benefit of 1000’s of devotees and mankind in general.

One of the mantras explained today is as follows:-
“AGNE VRAT PATE VRATAM CHARISHYAMI TACHCH KEYAM TANME RADHYATAAM, IDAM ANAM INRITAAT SATYAMUPAYME”.

Mantra:- (VRATPATE) stands by the truth(AGNE) God i.e., Oh God (ANAM) I (CHARISHYAMI) will follow/obey (IDAM) the truth(ANRITAT) keeping myself away from falsehood, false preach, bad character etc., and will adopt (SATYAM) true knowledge of the vedas from the learned Acharya and will always (VRATAM)adopt true preach and character (TAT) the said firm undertaking(RADHYATAAM) be fulfilled by your blessings because (UPAYME) to adopt the same in life, may I become (SHKEYAM) capable (TAT) may my undertaking (RADHYATAAM) be fulfilled by your blessings.

MEANING:- Stands by the truth God i.e., Oh God I will follow/obey the truth keeping myself away from falsehood, false preach, bad character etc., and will adopt true knowledge of the vedas from the learned Acharya and will always adopt true preach and character the said firm undertaking be fulfilled by your blessings because to adopt the same in life, may I become capable may my undertaking be fulfilled by your blessings.

YAJURVEDA MANTRA 1/5:- This mantra comprises of both praise as well as prayer to Almighty God. The divine quality of God is that the fundamental laws as well as principles laid down in Vedas by Almighty God are unchangeable being firm and eternal. So here the aspirant states that Oh God! You are firm and steadfast on your principles. For example:- Since the beginning of creation and for that matter in previous creations also, your law of survival is that all human
takes in oxygen and exhale out Carbon-dioxide to live. This law is eternal and can never be changed. Similarly, the qualities of God of being formless, omnipresent, omniscient, Almighty etc., are eternal and can’t be changed or distorted in any respect. Further, Yajyen and hard practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy after listening of Vedas from learned Acharya are the means to realize God. And own as per your Vedic knowledge.

So aspirant says that Oh God! Just as you are form of truth and completely away from falsehood. So please, liberate me from falsehood, illusion etc. May I also stand by and adopt the principles of truth in my life and live in truth according to your unchangeable laws and order mentioned in Vedas.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 10, SUKTA 90, MANTRA 15:-

MANTRA:- (DEVAHA) learned of Vedas who do meditation
(Yajyam Tanvanaha) while performing Prann Yajyen and
dev Yajyen ( Abadhnun) bind to their soul (pashum
purusham) the Almighty God who is complete in all
respects.

Meaning:- Learned of Vedas who do meditation while
performing Prann Yajyen and Dev Yajyen bind to their
soul the Almighty God who is complete in all respects.

Idea:- The learned of Vedas perform yajyen i.e.,
prann yajyen and dev yajyen i.e., they do prannayam
and offer aahuties in pious fire of yajyen. Doing
prannayam coupled with offering of three twigs
immersed in ghee accompanied with ved mantras to the
pious fire leads to obliteration of the effect of
three gunnas of prakriti i.e., Raj, Tam and Satva from
the chitta of aspirant.

Then such aspirant binds the
Almighty God to his soul i.e., he creates strong
bondage of love with Almighty God and merges himself
(soul) with God. Merges means that he realizes God
with in himself.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 9, SUKTA 62, MANTRA 26:-

This Rigveda mantra also highlights some of the
unlimited qualities of God.

Mantra states (VISHWA BHEJAYA) the whole world always
remains under the control of Almighty God by virtue of
His fear alone. Here fear means supreme powers of God
by which nobody is able to cross the rules and
regulations of the universe made by God. (AGRIYA)
you(GOD) are the first amongst all of us i.e., you are
the most supreme. When the universe is destroyed you
are present. When the creation starts, at that time
nothing exists except you. It means you are agriya
i.e., first before the universe is created by
you[GOD].(VACHAHA EERAYAN) you are the bestower of
vedas’ knowledge in which you have mentioned about
your administration. So by virtue of said
administration(SAMUDRIYAHA AAPAHA PAVASAVA) you purify
the water of seas, lakes, reservoirs etc.

IDEA:- Hence we must only worship the God having the
above stated qualities and in whole absence not a
single matter of the universe can exist.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 7, SUKTA 96 beautifully describes the
meaning of “Saraswati”. The mantra state saraswati is
the basis/origin of the entire knowledge.

Yask Muni has beautifully
described in Nighantu that just as river flows
continuously, ganges of knowledge flows from the mouth
of learned of Vedas. This continuous flow of Vedas’
knowledge is “Saraswati”. Hence Saraswati is
synonymous to Veda mantra’s knowledge which emanates
direct from God.

Vedas contain knowledge (Gyan
kand), science of deeds (karm kand) and worship
(upasana kand). This knowledge of Saraswati (ved
mantra’s knowledge) is unchangeable, eternal
and can not be deshaped or distorted. Hence Saraswati
obliterates the illusion and ignorance.

It fulfills the pious desires
of humans and protects them when it is chanted in holy
yajyen offerings aahutis in hawankund/bedi. Those who
wish to become learned must aspire to attain Saraswati
i.e., Vedas’ knowledge.

The flow of Saraswati from the
mouth of the learned has been compared to galloping
speed of chariot and continuous flow of a river.

Further God preaches that those
ordinary rivers which empty their waters into sea are
worldly rivers where as Saraswati is river which flows
the eternal knowledge of Ved mantras from the mouth of
learned Acharya of Vedas.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 9, SUKTA 54, MANTRA 3:-

Mantra:- (suryaha, na) like sun (Ayam) God is (Somaha)
form of divine happiness and (devaha) enlightens the
universe . He (Punanaha) purifies (vishwani) all lokas
and (Bhuvano Pari Tishthati) is always present in
three lokas and even beyond it.

Meaning:- Like sun, God is form of divine happiness and
enlightens the universe. He purifies all lokas and is
always present in three lokas and even beyond it.

Idea:- The mantra praises some of the unlimited
qualities of God such as:-
God is like the sun. Sun has a distinguished
quality of enlightening the world and is the source of
energy for the entire universe i.e., it sustains life
in the world by giving energy and warmth. Similarly,
God is source of eternal, divine light of Vedas. He is
self-enlightened and gives light to entire universe.
He is the giver of Prann i.e., life to the world. In
this regard, Rigveda Mandal 10, sukta 129 also refers.
Like sun is Dev i.e., giver of life and energy.
Similarly God is also Dev who bestows everything for
human, he is form of divine happiness.

God being the purest of pure, purifies the
aspirant who listens Vedas from learned Acharya and
practices Ashtang yoga philosophy. To seek the shelter
of God implies performing Yajyen because God manifests
himself in yajyen.

God is omnipresent. He is present not only in
this entire universe i.e., three lokas (earth,
space and heavenly bodies emitting light) but also
present beyond it. So we should worship the God who
has the said few eternal qualities amongst unlimited
qualities and none else.

Also just as darkness obliterates when
sunrises and all the directions are enlighted
similarly God from non-alive prakriti brings into
existence the entire universe which was otherwise
hidden with in prakriti. He bestows Vedas knowledge
which obliterates the darkness of illusion and
ignorance from the minds of humans.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 9, SUKTA 62, MANTRA 25-

MANTRA:- (SOM) Oh God! Full of divine happiness (AGRIYAHA) you are first amongst all, even before creation that is why, your holy name is chanted first before doing any pious deed. Kindly (ABHIVAKSHA) protect your (VACHAHA) eternal, divine voice of Vedas and (VISHWANI) whole (KAVYA)
vedic poetry through (CHITRABHI) wonderful (UTIBHIHI) divine protection.

MEANING:- Oh God! Full of divine happiness, you are
first amongst all, even before creation that is why,
your holy name is also chanted first before doing any
pious deed. Kindly protect your (VACHAHA) eternal,,
divine voice of Vedas and whole vedic poetry through
wonderful divine protection.

IDEA:- In the above mantra, the aspirant pray to God
to protect Vedic culture but mere prayer is not
enough. When we pray then we have to work hard to
obtain the result thereof. Then only God helps us
i.e., why it is a saying ” God helps those who help
themselves”. So the idea of mantra is that we must do
Yajyen to protect Vedas. Veda-vanni spreads through
Yajyen.

As it is mentioned in Atharvaveda that ved
vanni is protected and spreads only through holy
Yajyen.

RIGVEDA MANDAL 9, SUKTA 12, MANTRA 3:-

(Urma) waves (Sindhoho) takes shelter of river and
(Vipaschit) learned of Vedas (Gauri) Vedas-divine
voice of God (Adhishritaha) takes shelter. Similarly
(Somaha madachyuta) God who is form of divine
happiness and in whom the everlasting ecstasy remains
(Sadne) in the pious place of yajyen (sheti) loves.

Meaning:- Just as waves find shelter in rivers and
learned of Vedas are sheltered in Vedas-divine voice
of God i.e., the entire knowledge and conduct of a
learned is based on Vedas.

In similar manner, the God who is form
of divine happiness and in whom everlasting ecstasy,
loves the site of yajyen and manifests Himself there
always.

Idea:- So many names of yajyen are being stated like
karma yajyen, Jap Yajyen, Yoga yajyen etc. But
according to the four Vedas and the mantra cited above
also, the best worship of God is done by performing
holy Yajyen with ved mantra , meaning there of dev
pooja i.e., regards of learned mother, father, atithi
and Acharya. Second, sangatikaran i.e,services to
learned Acharya of Vedas and Yoga philosophy to
please Him and satisfy Him , to gain eternal
Knowledge of Vedas and Ashtang yoga philosophy from
him. Third is Daneshu i.e., donation to authentic/deserving
dignitaries according to Vedas.

Mantra beautifully describes that as waves
are generated from water of river and again naturally
merge into the same river, having no other
alternative.

Similarly, a learned/wise Acharya/Rishi-Munis
always take shelter of eternal knowledge of Vedas. He
remains in Vedas, his knowledge generates from Vedas
and takes shelter again in Vedas i.e., the learned
Acharya has no alternative except Vedas. He always
gives proof from Vedas, of his true preach.

Thirdly, Almighty God loves yajyen and therefore
gives blessings to all those who performs daily
yajyen.

MANTRA 9, SUKTA 1, MANTRA 1:-

MANTRA:- (Som) Oh God! You are a form of sun. (SWADISHTHYA) You always increase divine pleasure of an aspirant. (MADISHTHYA DHARYA) You hold ecstasy within you by which (PAVASAVA) kindly purify us. (INDRAYE PATVE SUTAHA) i.e., You are famous to bestow and increase glory, grandeur, wealth, greatness etc., of an aspirant.

MEANING:- Oh God! You are form of som and increase divine pleasure of an aspirant. You hold ecstasy within you. You being purest of pure, kindly purify us. Your famous to bestow and increase wealth, assets, grandeur, gloring, greatness etc., of an aspirant.

IDEA:- God has unlimited qualities whereas men-women or any matter of the world has limited qualities and this is also a difference between God and soul and prakriti made universe.

So, soul can never be God and every article of the world made from prakriti has its shape/qualities and exists in the universe. It cannot be told that any matter of the world like sun, moon, trees etc., do not exist.

As mentioned in the mantra, the Almighty God is form of divine happiness, and pleasure which is everlasting. So whenever any aspirant by listening/studying Vedas obeys its rules and regulations and worships God accordingly then God showers all the above divine qualities on the aspirant. So we must only worship the God who has unlimited divine qualities, whose description has been mentioned in Vedas.

MANDAL 7, SUKTA 63, MANTRA 1-

MANTRA:- Mantra states that the Almighty God is like an eye of those who are aspirants, learned and the Rishi-Muni, true saints etc. We know that we judge about the matters of universe including spiritualism by virtue of our eye. Eye gives us the proof of the matter and its existence but when the question arises that God is the eye of the learned Rishi, it means Rishi-Muni, saints by virtue of their study of Vedas and hard practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy, have obtained divine power to judge the truth-untruth, illusion-knowledge etc. That is why
Patanjali Rishi in his Yog shastra sutra 1/7 states that Vedas and true Rishi is a proof to decide authenticity of any matter.

The mantra therefore states that the divine chakshu(power) thus obtained by a Rishi destroy the illusion like a straw.

Learned of Vedas who guide the people and lead people
to follow the eternal, immortal path of Vedas. It means as if Ved mantras have become the eyes of the learned of Vedas through which learned sees the truth and untruth. It means as if vedas’ knowledge is the divine light which obliterates the darkness of illusion and ignorance.
The illusion of the entire world and falsehood prevalent is comparable to a mere straw before the power of vedic knowledge. Therefore as power of straw is nothing before a burning fire similarly existence and strength of falsehood/illusion, is negligible before the power of Vedas.

In the end, the mantra says that God who is the witness to all our actions being omnipresent, God who is Almighty and self- enlightened is realized by prannayam and philosophy of Ashtang Yoga.

Idea:- All Vedas state that under guidance of learned Acharya, we must learn the Vedas and do Yajyen and Ashtang yoga practice to obtain the divine eye/divine power within us with the blessings of Almighty God who leads the universe in the matter of spiritualism as well.

MANDAL 7, SUKTA 38, MANTRA 2-

IDEA:- The mantra states that everybody must
chant/listen the ved mantras stating the divine
qualities of God which is a true praise of God. Here
it must be noted that God is truth and knowledge of
Vedas emanates from God so each mantra of veda is
true, eternal and immortal like God. The mantra states
O Lord! You have created the entire universe from
non-alive Prakriti and gifted it for the benefit of
human-beings, you have bestowed the knowledge of Vedas
to human-beings for their benefit.

The idea of next mantra given by Swamiji was:-

IDEA:- The ignorant are the ones who ignore and
criticize the Vedas as well as code of conduct like
performing havan, practising Ashtang Yoga, laid down
in Vedas. On the contrary, learned always praise the
Vedas and feel happy to see the knowledge of Vedas
being acknowledged in the world i.e., ignorants
criticize learned of Vedas whereas learned of Vedas
always praise the learned. Therefore those who listen
Vedas, perform Yajyen and do practice of Ashtang Yoga
then one day the Almighty God originates in their
heart. So we must always worship the Almighty,
formless God who has provided us with all necessities
for survival and not others.

The idea of next mantra given by Swamiji was:-

MANDAL 7, SUKTA 61, MANTRA 7:-

Ardhvidwan and Poorna vidwan i.e., learned of Vedas,
having the knowledge of shabda Brahma i.e., ved
mantras and in addition those learned Rishis who
besides having knowledge of ved mantras have also
realized the same within their hearts, by practising
Ashtang Yoga philosophy are entitled to spread the
knowledge of Vedas and also to dissipate the secret
knowledge of creation to all i.e., how universe is
created from non-alive prakriti.

MANDAL 7, SUKTA 61, MANTRA 8:-

IDEA:-Learned should make people understand the
importance of yajyen so that they lead a disease free,
sorrow free, happy, long life and finish the illusion
and make the aspirant capable of realizing God.

MANTRA 4:- Idea of the mantra is- God who creates
universe like the sun, the clouds and regulates the
process of neater cycle i.e., One ray of sun
evaporates water of thirty reservoirs to sky and
stores it there. Clouds make the rain to fall on earth
and preserve its water content. All this takes place
through the power of God. Only such God who wields all
these qualities is worshippable by all humans. No
other God like the God having said qualities was born
earlier nor shall ever be born in future. He was one,
is one and shall always remain one.
