Anonymous: Respected,

I read a long time ago in a Buddhist encyclopedia, I quote: “The Vedas include several myths in which the gods commit immoral acts; e.g. Agni, Brahmā and Prajāpati.”

How do you interpret that?

Thank you very much for the explanation.

All the best,
Swami Ram Swarup: Vedas never tell about immoral acts. On the other hand promote to observe hard brahmcharya (celibacy). In Vedas according to ved mantras Agni, Brahma and Prajapati are also the names of Almighty God. In this connection Rigveda mantra 1/164/46 preaches, The God is one but His divine names are uncountable based on His divine qualities. My blessings to you son.
