OM: The Holy name of God Who protects us.
AMRIT: A+Mrit- Mrit means Death. The “A”counters “Mrit”. Hence it means “One who never encounters death and is immortal” referring to the Almighty God Who is Immortal.
UPASTARNNAM: Like Bedding
ASI: You are
SWAHA: Eternal and the purest voice/true deed/action, we offer to God while performing Yajyen/Hawan.
MEANING : Oh God!You protect us. You are Immortal and you are like our bedding.
IDEA: Oh God! You are Omnipresent, living in even the minutest bit of the universe. We are grateful to you for giving us this earth to live upon, to seek shelter, to rest and for other purposes such as cultivation etc.
2. OM AMRITAPIDHANAMASI SWAHA
OM: The Holy name of God Who protects us.
AMRIT: Immortal God
APIDHANAM: you are like a cover on us.
ASI: You are
SWAHA: Eternal and the purest voice/true deed/action, we offer to God while performing
Yajyen/Hawan.
MEANING : Oh God!our protector, You are immortal. You are like a cover on us.
3. OM SATYAM YASHAH SHREEHI MAYI SHREEHI SHRYATAAM SWAHA
OM: The Holy name of God Who protects us.
SATYAM: Eternal/Truth
YASHAH: Glory/Fame
SHREEHI: Money, wealth i.e., the wealth earned through honest means
MAYI: Within me,
SHREEHI: Wealth,
SHRYATAAM: Shelter
SWAHA: I do the true, pious deed by offering aahuti. I utter eternal, purest voice from my heart for you.
MEANING : Oh God!The glory/fame and the wealth earned through honesty and hard work should remain with me, and I should use this towards Yajyen and other pious deeds for You are the only donor of the same.
