Swami Ram Swarup: You are welcome, my daughter. Ashtang Yoga education is mentioned in Vedas. It is taught to an aspirant in person. Otherwise, it may cause harm also. Actually, it is the fundamental law of Vedas to educate the aspirant in person. There are several mantras in Atharvaveda regarding medicines. However, the best mantra to chant before taking medication is the Gayatri mantra, which should be chanted in mind at that time along with its each word’s meaning.
Ashok: Respected Swami Ji,Yes I accept that the Somaye is Almighty God and not the devta of any direction, then why the Aahuti has been given in North, South and center of the Vedi By the mantra OM AGNAYE SWAHA, OM SOMAYE SWAHA and OM PRAJAPATI SWAHA respectively? It has been written in the HAWAN BOOK called Arya Satsang Gutka. It can be given any where in the Vedi as GOD is present every where. Waiting your reply eagerly.

It is true that God is everywhere and hence the aahutis can be offered anywhere in the hawankund but it will be better if aahutis are distributed in given directions to facilitate the fire to burn with the support of ghee.
It also indicates north and south poles along with northern and southern hemispheres.
