CZ: Which king had Lord Varaha’s tooth, with which, he used to get pathway by Samundra (God of Ocean)?
Swami Ram Swarup: There is only one formless, omnipresent and almighty God who is lord of universe. Rigveda mantra 10/129/7 states that God is the lord of prakriti, souls and God creates the universe from non-alive matter Prakriti. Now, it is quite impossible that God may possess teeth, He being formless and in the universe, no one has power to face the God. The story which you wrote is connected with Puranns which learned do not accept, being against the Vedas.
J: I had approached a Jyotishalaya, they said I have Brahmahatya dosha for which they will perform on my behalf – Purva-Janma Shanthi; Swayamvar Parvathy – Maha Mrityunjaya Pooja for a minimum period of 144 days. Would you be able to tell me should I go ahead and get this pooja done. Kindly help.
Swami Ram Swarup: According to Vedas, there is no way to know the previous lives’ deeds like Brahmacharya etc. So, you have been told a self-made path which is against the Vedas. any kind of sin or several sins are destroyed by following eternal vedic path i.e., by performing yajyen, name jaap of God, hard practice of Ashtang Yoga, under the guidance of learned acharya of Vedas and Ashtang Yoga. So, in my opinion, you must not agree with their views, being unauthentic and being against Vedic philosophy.
Sam: Dear Sir, Please let me know, where the use of “Myrrh”(in southern languages it is known as “sambrani”is mentioned in Vedas and in Bhavdgita. Sincerely, Sam.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. In my knowledge, “Myrrh” is not mentioned in Vedas or in Bhagwad Gita. However, you are requested to please quote the reference of Ved mantra and Bhagwad Geeta shloka wherein the said word exists.
