Swami Ram Swarup: Sanatan ka arth hai sada rehne wala arthat jiskee na shuruat hai aur na hee ant. Aur ismein Ishwar ka banaya hua vedic dharma hai arthat Charon ved Ishwar kee tarah sanatan hain. Isee dharma ko apnane aur ispar chalne se sadaa sukh shanti banee rehti hai. Yeh dharma mahabaharat kaal tak pooree prithivi par apnaya jaata raha hai uske baad hamne apne apne sahuliyat ke anusaar khud ke dharma banaa liye hain aur sanatan dharma ko prayaha jeev bhool gaye hain.

When we see all around us then we would find that some people are happy, some are poor, several are indulged in several kinds of diseases. Some do not have eyes, others are devoid of other body parts etc. Somebody takes a birth in a rich family, others in poorest of poor family etc. God is Supreme judge. We all are His children and He cannot do injustice with us. Then why the above quoted instances are there in the world it is only because of the result of previous lives’ deeds which everyone is facing.
S: Sat Shri Akal Swamiji. Swamiji, I am in search of answers to my questions regarding astrology. And came across your site. I had doubts regarding how donating chana dal in a gurudwara would help change my stars(said by an astrologer to me after seeing my kundali). I was never into this nor my family until my sis got divorced recently due to some problems. My mother now goes frequently to such astrologers which I was always against. I might have been wrong because of my ignorance on this area of study. My first question is – Is astrology a fact and a scientific study of proving right and wrong with results instantly like we conduct experiments in a laboratory and get clear results on the spot? Secondly can we depend on astrology for taking our crucial decisions of life like marriage and career? Swamiji according to little experience of life, i have an inner heart which says that god is the Only power. HE controls the stars of a person ( he blesses us if hes happy wid us , like miracles) plus our past karmas do influence our present lives. Please correct me n enlightened me if I am wrong. I have found a soul mate. We both connect in all ways . And planning to tell our parents because we want to get married. Recently we found out that I am manglik. And he is not. I have little knowledge about it But the astrologer said we cant get married. What should I do Swamiji? Please bless me and guide me.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. In Vedas, there is no mention about present astrology, so being unauthentic, learned never accept it. So, please save yourself from such astrologers. As stated in Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 we’ve taken birth to face the result of our previous lives’ deeds. However, mantra 3 clarifies that if a person takes Vedic knowledge from learned acharya and while discharging all his moral duties, he worships daily then we can destroy our all previous lives’ bad deeds.
As I’ve told above, we must save ourselves from such astrologers. So, question of taking crucial decisions of life based on astrology does not arise. You are very much correct that Formless, Almighty, Omnipresent God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe is the only Supreme Power. He blesses us with knowledge of four Vedas in the beginning of each creation and those who follow it faithfully, they spent long, happy life.
You should sure tell your parents about the boy and rest should be left to your parents. One more thing that Vedas preach not to give heart to opposite sex before marriage.
As regards mangalik matter, you should never worry because it is also a self-made practice. It has not been mentioned in Vedas. This practice has ruined the future of several boys and girls. So, beware of such matters. Again, my heartiest blessings to you, my daughter.
