Vishal: Namaste Guruji Ji, I am always grateful to you for clearing my doubts. Once again i humbly I ask you that In ramayan Ram prayers before sea to give him path (Rasta) to reach lanka. Sea is part of Matter (Jad)it can not feel I. Then how can he(Sea) listen the prayer of Rama. It is myth or real. & I have listen from a scholar such kind prayer towards Jud things (matter)contain in Veda Also. Is this true?
Swami Ram Swarup: Namasteji. Thanking you, please. In Tulsi Ramayana, it has been mentioned that Ram prayers before sea to give him path to reach Lanka. But learned of Vedas do not accept it because Vedas never tell to accept unnatural events. I mean to say that according to Rigveda mandal 10, sukta 129 and several other mantras of remaining three Vedas, water, air, space, earth and fire are made from non-alive matter-prakriti. Vedas prohibit worship of non-alive matter, but preach only to worship Formless, Alive, Omnipresent, Almighty God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. Every matter of universe has been created by God from non-alive matter Prakriti and will be destroyed one day. Vedas tell to worship God and not His creation. Second logic is this that Maharishi Valmiki ji was contemporary of Sri Ram. Sri Ram and Mahrishi Valmiki ji were born about One crore, eighty-one lakh years ago and Tulsidasji was born about five hundred years ago. I mean to say, study of Valmiki Ramayan reveals that the matter of praying to sea for seeking path is not mentioned therein. Actually, Nal and Neel, were two engineers in army of Sri Ram, who made the bridge to enable the army to cross over the sea so as to reach Lanka. However, those who believe in Tulsi Ramayana, may go ahead at their own.
How, the prayer to non-alive matter can be proved to be in Vedas when every follower of Vedas who has gone through the Vedas several times has proved that worship of non-alive matter is prohibited in Vedas, six shastras etc. one thing should be known by everyone that Vedas tell that mere study of Vedas will do nothing until an aspirant does daily Yajyen, name jaap of God and hard practice of Ashtang Yoga under guidance of learned acharya of ved and Yoga mentioned in Vedas.
Vedas add that those who are not doing practice of Ashtang Yog can never know about the deep and secret knowledge of vedas. That is why, several mantras of Vedas like Yajurveda mantra 40/10 and Atharvaveda mantra 7/2/1 state that we should only listen to Vedas from the learned who after practicing Ashtang Yoga and listening to Vedas, has reached at least at the seventh stage of Ashtang Yog i.e., meditation.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Apne jo kuchh sadhna ke vishhya mein likha, who bahut achcha hai kyunki yeh vedon ke anusaar hai. Bas zaroorta is baat kee hai ki is practice par aap dhyan dete rehein aur practice ko kabhi na chhodein. Mera tum sabko ashirwad.
Pradeep: I want to know the Ved related with jadoo tona?
Swami Ram Swarup: In the Vedas, not a single word regarding jodoo-tona has been mentioned. So, the learned of Vedas do not accept it, being unauthentic. Vedas tell us to do always pious deeds, mentioned therein; to do eternal worship of Formless, Omnipresent, Almighty God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. Also, Vedas tell the third education of science i.e., to know each matter of the universe but Vedas never tell about jaado tona, teva, kaal sarp Yog, present tantrik vidya, vaastu, present astrology. So, learned of Vedas never accept it.
