Prakash: Upnishads and the geeta say that Atma is seated in the heart. What happens to the Atma when a heart is exhanged by Transplant? The body lives on! Swamiji pranam.
Swami Ram Swarup: Atma (soul) while the person is in sushupt avastha (unconscious stage) lives in heart. The soul comes in transplanted heart because the soul has to face the result of previous lives’ deeds in the human-body.
Nitesh: Please send me the book on B rahmcharya.
Swami Ram Swarup: The book is being sent to you.
P: My marriage is proposed to a person of a lower-caste. I am a Brahmin. If I do an inter caste marriage I am not eligible to do the rituals is that correct ? and what is the ritual as per vedas which can solve this issue
Swami Ramsawrup: Vedas have not made any caste system. As regards marriage, Vedas permit marriage within present inter-caste system. However, the marriage should be performed based on good qualities of both sides i.e., boy and girl. Boy should be financially independent. So, you are quite eligible to perform rituals.
Murali: Dear Sir, I want to know that can a brahmin donate a body after his death? Also carrying this wish by his son/daughters is sin ? Please do quote with shloka’s/teeka’s so as to understand the same.
Swami Ram Swarup: In this connection, Vedas do not tell any thing but inspire to do benevolence. So, if somebody wants to donate his body after death it will be his own wish to do benevolence otherwise Yajurveda mantra 40/15 states to burn the dead body on pyre immediately after death. My blessings to you.
V S: Esteemed Swami ji, my son is one year old.Kindly tell me about his future and a roadmap to deliver the duties of a father. Eagrly waiting your response. Yours faithfully
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. We have to deal with three types of karmas as under-
Three types of Deeds
There are three types of deeds (karmas) – sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.
Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.
If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work hard towards a right path.
Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way at a time i.e., spiritualism and worldly progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.
In view of the above, our luck has already been framed by God. However, in Vedas, God has advised to do worship in the shape of doing daily havan/yajyen, name jaap of God and practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy etc., under the guidance of a learned acharya of Vedas and yoga philosophy. The said worship kills the sorrows based on our previous lives’ bad deeds/sins and makes our future bright. So, luck is in our hands. Secondly, mother especially teaches, takes care and nurses the child. If she is learned and her husband is also learned then both preach and nurse the babies well and thus make his future bright. As regards, duties of husband and wife, first I would advise you to please study my book-Vedas divine light- Part III and then after further advise shall be given.
