S: Pranam guruji,I have a query that if someone is rude to us so what should be our reaction and also how I can control my anger and be soft-spoken? I want to inculcate patience ,but I am not able to do so. Please Help Me.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. It is very clear that you as well as all learned persons dislike rude behaviour. In return of rudeness we will be angry and would reply in the same way then it will not look nice. In each situation, you will have to think whether it was your fault that other person became rude. Then you should listen with patience and try to remove your error. If it was not your fault, then also you should listen to rude words peacefully but in no case you must yourself become rude.
When you will think justly then you would not be angry or lose patience. Simultaneously you should go on with your practice of name jaap and regular hawan, etc.
Everybody should avoid the ravages of hatred. You will seriously take firm decision in the matter to follow the Vedic advice. This is mind of human being which always tries to indulge us within illusion. As a result, we become worried or get indulged in problems. So with firm decision and daily worship you will have to control your intellect and mind.
You may write to me again, if the answer is not understood. Again my blessings to you, my daughter.
Anonymous: How to make my father leave alcohol?
Swami Ram Swarup: You may do nothing but advice. Your daily advice and briefing of bad effect of alcohol to your father may be fruitful to him.
R: Namaste. I have started a new business. Initially it did very well but now it is run intro trouble. Now I don’t believe in astrologers. I am tired of my life after doing jobs and now business, which is not running well. Please advise me some solution to get a peace of mind. Sometimes I become very angry with the situation.
Swami Ram Swarup: Present astrology is not mentioned in Vedas, please. So, learned never accept it, being unauthentic. So, your decision of not believing in astrology is appreciated. In Vedas, God tells that everybody has to face the result of his own previous lives’ deeds- good or bad. There are three kinds of deeds, my article regarding the same is appended below.
So, learned only pay their full attention on kriyamann karmas (present karmas). Because, if we do pious deeds and worship preached in Vedas then previous lives’ deeds (bad) get destroyed and the person gets peace along with long, happy life. I mean to say that your non-progress in business/job inspite of hard working is due to the effect of any deed of your previous life. I would therefore advise you to please do name jaap of God – OM daily both times, sitting on any easy asan. In addition, you should sure do agnihotra even with Gayatri mantra, offering at least 11 aahutis daily both times. I hope the effect of the deeds would sure be destroyed and with the blessings of Almighty God, you will get success in your business as well as in your life. If possible, try to read my book- “ Yajyen karma- Sarvashreshth Ishwar Pooja” (in Hindi) worth Rs. 65.00 excluding postal charges in which you would find the agnihotr mantras along with Gayatri mantra with its meaning. Video CD explaining the procedure to perform the havan worth Rs. 30.00 can also be sent.
Three types of Deeds
There are three types of deeds (karmas) – sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.
Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.
If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work hard towards a right path.
Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way at a time i.e., spiritualism and worldly progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.
One thing more that in human life one should never be nervous because life is a struggle and we have to face it happily.
