R K: What is the benefit of doing jaap of 1.25 crores of mantra Om Namash Shivay and what is the best way to do it?
Swami Ram Swarup: I cannot comment on your question because about such jaap and its result, Vedas are silent. In Vedas, we all human beings have been preached to worship only one formless, Almighty, Omnipresent God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe and again creates it.
K: Swamiji If Pregnant lady has nausea problem then how can she recovered? and is it affect to her child?
Swami Ram Swarup: In this connection, I would first advise you to study- ‘Tips of Pregnancy ’on this site. Thereafter, you may again send your problem if it is not solved.

Raj: Does Kal Sarp puja remove all sufferings of an affected person? Do persons suffering from infertility problems are blessed with a child after kal sarp puja is performed?
Swami Ram Swarup: Learned of Vedas tell that kaal sarp Pooja has no concern with life of human-beings as it is not mentioned in Vedas. So, you need not too worry. In this connection, I paste my article-
Kaal Sarp Yog & other such defects in astrology
Vedas are eternal and knowledge direct from God wherein such kaal sarp yog etc., are not mentioned, please. So you need not to worry. Please try to do havan daily even from Gayatri mantra, which is a great worship of God and will give you benefit. The meaning of kaal is also time. So death comes according to time for which the God has given life to us. This is all based on our previous lives’ pious deeds and sins. So there is no effect of kaal sarp yog etc., in the life, but effect of deeds (karmas) only. So, one must do always pious deeds to be happy. Present pious deeds can burn our previous deeds also and life’s time can also be extended wide Yajurveda mantra 3/62.

Anonymous: Swami Ji pranamam. Swami ji , one month back I had a bad dream where I said to my (late)mother that I will die If you are not there in early hours.From then my mind started thinking evil thoughts that me saying I will die means committing suicide. Would that happen? I went to some bad state of mind where I began thinking God has written my death like this to commit suicide and I need to though I don’t want. Very evil thoughts crawled in my mind where from past 2 months I have no peace no sleep and my heart is burning like anything. Guru ji I have 2 questions for you.
1.Guruji because of bad karmas in previous birth, would God punish us to take suicide this birth.
2.If in last birth, if we commit suicide. God has angry and in this birth though myself wanted to live but he gives these evil thoughts as punishment and make me die.
3.Or is that everything I am thinking myself and making my life bad with these thoughts.
Does any karma effects us that we mandatory commit suicide or is that we human think to skip.
Past 2 months because of the dream and me thinking too much and so many evil thoughts crawl I am so hopeless and have no peace of mind. I am not worried of natural deaths/unexpected death but am worried on death coming because of ourself (suicide). I started thinking that if we are happy we will no die ourselves and God wants me to die or punishing me and hence these thoughts are coming and my life has been miserable. Please clarify my queries. How can I live further with these evil thoughts? I need to take care of my family. I know my responsibility but somehow could not skip from the fears of my queries/thoughts and next years how I would live with the fears. Please Guruji, though my mail is bit lengthy do give me reply.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. In Vedas, dreams are stated to be false. Though it is sorrowful. For example- You’ve seen the dream and you feel sad. Otherwise, there is no effect of dream in life. So, please do not worry because dreams are sorrowful, naturally, they should not come. So, to avoid the dreams start daily hawan with Gayatri mantra. It is a worship, prayer and praise of God which will give you several benefits in the life.
You see, God is formless then how can you see God to write death by suicide for you.
No, please. God never punishes us to commit suicide in this birth but gravely punishes in next births for such sin of suicide. So one should never think about suicide but bravely and happily face the problems. Suicide itself is a grave sin.

Past Sins
Everybody has the past either saints or sinners. The present life of human being is too based on past. Our present deeds will make our future either good or bad. By doing the present pious deeds based on spiritualism, the past sins are destroyed and the present as well as future life is made pleasant. So there must not be any worry about the past or future, but about present pious deeds. Saints kill the past by present pious deeds which everybody must do even in the family life. Only repentance will not serve the purpose.
One will have to do worship along with hard pious deeds and must discharge moral duties faithfully. In this way, the spiritual advices are necessary. One has to worship a formless God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe.
Hanuman was a yogi, he also worshipped formless God. So the worship of formless God is required. In my opinion worship advised by astrologers today to repent is against the Vedas, please.
Normal death is always welcome by all, being awarded by God Himself. But even thinking of suicide is great sin. God has blessed the human body to worship God and maintain long happy life. Difficulties come due to previous lives’ deeds which have to be faced bravely.
Regarding death Mirza Galib has stated his views, “MUJHE KYA BURA THA MARNA, GAR EK BAAR HOTA,” SO PLEASE BE BRAVE. And continue to be a faithful optimist.
YOGA PHILOSOPHY IS NOT A SECT PLEASE AND THUS APPLICABLE TO ALL HUMAN BEINGS OF ANY SECT. So try to learn yoga asan and meditation. Do only pious deeds. And attend good society only. Never sit idle and try to discharge your moral duties faithfully. Hard working towards right path must continue. Then everything will be okay.
Suicide
Suicide occurs in respect of those who indulge in illusion. Due to illusion, they are demoralised, lose patience. When the creation starts then at the beginning of every creation, God gives the knowledge of four Vedas to Rishis/human beings, to become learned by destroying the illusion. But those who due to one or the other reason, do not listen Vedas, they become unable to understand the motto of the human life and therefore the illusion effects them. As a result, they lose heart and commit suicide which is the greatest sin of human life. They even do not understand that due to their said act of sin, they will have to face more and more sorrows in the next birth. Even they are devoid of best human body which is meant to achieve salvation while doing all moral duties under the guidance of learned acharya of Vedic philosophy.
Also, even to think about suicide is itself a grave sin, the bad result of which will be borne in next life. We have come here to worship Almighty God, to burn our previous bad deeds so as to make our life happy and not to generate more sins. So God is one who is the creator. And to concentrate on the formless, Almighty God, one will have to follow the Vedas.
2). As stated above please. So, be brave because the dreams are always false.
3). Yes, you are yourself indulged in illusion and have started bad thinking. Please, avoid and be brave.
No karma is involved in suicide case except tension, weak hearted nature, depressions etc. that is why, I’m writing again and again you to be courageous. The first good sign of Dharma (righteousness) is Dhriti-patience. Being human-beings we all should wield patience to get long, happy life. This life is not meant to be ruined.
You can get your long, happy life by wielding patience, courage and by daily worship of God as stated above. You see, God helps those who help themselves. All four Vedas state tat luck is in the hands of a man.
I would also advise you to listen to spiritual songs regularly and read holy books. The spiritual songs along with Vedic preach sung by me are available along with books written by me. If you would spare sometime to listen to CDs and study holy books then you’ll find that your bad thoughts have vanished.
