Ashok: Hare Krishna! Swami ji, these days I am trying to know more and more about one interesting topic, in every religion it is said that messiah will come soon, in Hinduism we talk about Kalki avatar, in Islam they talk about Imam Mahdi, in Christianity its second coming of jesus and also they talk about anti-christ who will be here soon, there are many new age sects nowaday talking about change of materialistic world into spiritual world in near future(known as Sat-Yug in India). And there are many theories related to 2012 and end times.
I want to know your views about this topic, and what our Vedas, Upnishad says about this.
Swami Ram Swarup: In this connection, I paste my article to this effect below. It is not correct. It will take at least about One Arab years more for its destruction.
No doubts, scientific calculations mostly are found correct but still there is other unlimited power of Almighty Who nurses us and I give you surety of its stability for the above period. However, some of the human-beings may meet with the death like the destruction caused in Hiroshima. But total destruction is quite impossible.
No matter of any yug regarding pious deeds or sins because time calculation will have to be considered as non-alive matter which cannot cause harm to any one. It is always personal pious deeds and sins, the result of which is to be faced by every individual.

God is only one who creates the universe and no other can create the universe except God. Please think deeply is any one except God empowered for creation, etc.? The pious qualities of God are unlimited whereas qualities of soul, which resides in human body, are limited. That is why He is God. This fact is also mentioned by Rishi Patanjali in his Yog shastra sutra 1/24, “KALEASHKARAMVIPAKASHYAIHI APRAMRISHTAHA PURUSHVISHESHAHA ISHWARAHA” i.e., He who is not indulged in any sorrows/sufferings (kalesh), in any kind of deed (karma) and result thereof (vipakya), He is supreme in souls and is called Ishwar (God), whereas, soul is indulged in all the said matters according to deeds done in previous, and in the present life. So this is also a difference between God and souls and therefore soul can never be God based on the different qualities.
Amongst unlimited qualities of God, few may be enumerated-that God creates, nurses and destroys the universe. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent and Almighty, beyond description, beyond imagination, and beyond calculation. Nobody on the earth can deny such qualities, but these qualities are to be discussed and considered deeply and he who does the same is called MUNI as per Vedas and shastras.
Let us think over one quality of God – Being Almighty. Almighty means God has all powers and thus God, to control the universe and to do any kind of deed for the same, can not be dependent on another, at any cost, being Almighty. Again shastras say, which is a true saying too, that there must be reason behind for any creation, matter etc. God is a reason to create the universe. Parents are the reason to give birth to a child. Ravana took Sita forcefully which became a reason for war between Shri Ram and Ravana etc. So as per Vedas there must be a reason of avtar and after studying eternal knowledge of Vedas and thinking deeply, there seems no reason to take avtar by Almighty God. As in Yajurveda mantra 2/26, so is in Shwetashwaropnishad shlok 6/8 wherein it is mentioned that there is no reason to form a God and thus God is also formless i.e., nobody can make God but God creates universe from non-alive prakriti. Secondly the said Upnishad says that the
deeds of God of creation, nursing, and destruction of universe are eternal, natural, and automatic. So naturally God needs no avtar to destroy Kalyug, earth, or devils etc., being Almighty i.e., God has all powers and is independent. Not God but only His powers are enough to control, create, nurse, destroy the universe. That is why Upnishad says that God has no desire to create etc., but it is eternal and natural and this sort of desire is named “IKSHAN” and not desire to create etc.
Suppose God has to kill a devil and He takes avtar and God kills the devils by arrow etc. It means God is not Almighty and independent because God has taken help of Avtar (Human body) and arrow, gun, etc., which is impossible.
This all I have told based on fundamental law of eternal knowledge of four Vedas. Yet if anybody says about avtar then it is their own views and they are satisfied with their views and can not be commented because they could have been realizing at their own but so far as eternal knowledge of Vedas is concerned, Avtar is not possible.
As you already know that Avtar of Almighty formless God is quite impossible. As regards forecast of Kalki avtar we all would sure welcome Him when the wonderful incident would take place.
Satyug, Treta, Dwapur and Kalyug have the period of their calculations as under-
About Yugas
Manusmriti gives the proof in its chapter one that present time of the earth is 7th Manvantar. Uptil now 6 manvantar have passed. Those are Swayambhar, Swarochisch, Ottmi, Tamas, Ryivat and Chakshash, now its 7th manvantar. 71 chaturyugi = 1 manvantar.
There are four yug – Satyug, Treta, Dwapur and Kaliyug.
Satyug = 17 lakhs 28 thousands years
Treta = 12 lakhs 96 thousands years
Dwapur = 8 lakhs 64 thousands years
Kaliyug = 4 lakhs 32 thousands years
The total of four Yugas comes to be 43 lakhs and 20 thousands years which is equal to one Chaturyugi. 71 Chaturyugi i.e., 30 crore 67 lakhs and 20 thousands years equal to one Manvantar and 6 Manvantar have yet passed whose calculation comes to one Arab 84 crore 30 lakhs and 20 thousands years. This is 7th Manvantar and 28 Chaturyugi and the present Kaliyug has passed its time of 5002 years. So, uptil now the age of the earth and Vedas is one Arab 96 crore 8 lakhs 53 thousands and 2 years. Bhagwat Geeta shlok 8/17 also says about this fact.
14 Manvantar= 1 Kalp.
So, no yug effects the human-beings except one’s own deeds. God does not award the result of any yug but awards the result of deeds. Ravanna, Kansa, Duryodhan were awarded result of their bad deeds but not result of Satyug, Treta or Dwapur. So, it is not fair to say that people are facing difficulties. Difficulties are only due to one’s own bad deeds done in previous lives’ and present life as well.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my son. Maansa aur madira ka sewan ved-shastron nein manaa kiya hai aur aisey karma ko paap kaha hai. Aapka drid nishchaye hi aapko is nashey se chchutkara dila sakta hai. Nasha khud apni zindagi aur parivar ki zindagi ko dukh mein daal kar rakh sakta hai. Nasha bimareeyan paida karta hai aur aayu ko ghata deta hai. Har insaan sukh chahta hai, dukh koi nahin chahta. Aap bhi to dukh nahin chahtey. Par gahan vichar yeh karna hai ki sukh to usko milta hai jo sukh ko paaney ke liye achchey karya karey kyunki Ishwar achchey karmon arthat punnyavaan karmon ka phal sukh deita hai aur burey karmon arthat paap karmon ka phal dukh deita hai. Aap poorey drid vishwas ke sath apney ko samjhanyen aur aaj se hi pratigya karein ki mein nasha nahin karunga. Doosra, yeh nasha khoon mein mix ho jaata hai isliye itni jaldi chchoot-ta nahin hai. Iske liye aap ek do din mein hi doctors ki salah lein. Woh aap ka ilaaj kareingey aur nasha chchoot jayega. Mera aapko baar-baar ashirwad.
Gopal Popati: Pranam Guruji, I want to know, “What is the meaning of ‘Salvation’ according to Vedas? Is it same as mentioned in Bible or Quran?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. The meaning of salvation is to be free from the bindings of karmas (deeds). When an aspirant starts worshipping God by performing yajyen, listening Vedas, name jaap of God and practice of Ashtang Yoga philosophy daily, then at one stage, he attains the eighth step of Ashtang Yoga philosophy. The eighth step of Ashtang Yoga philosophy is Samadhi. Samadhi means the perfection of seventh stage of Ashtang Yoga philosophy i.e., meditation. When the aspirant reaches at Samadhi he realises God and experiences divine pleasure where he becomes free from experiencing the result of previous lives’ good or bad deeds as well as present life’s deeds. This stage is called salvation (mukti) and it is attained during present life and not after death. After death such Yogi does not take rebirth for extensive period of time and while remaining with God always, he experiences divine pleasure. God awards several powers to such Yogi.
JS: The door of mind are now open….the heart seeks God help….and i am scare of all my wrong deeds what to do…Never before do i feel so helpless. 30 years of my life have passed and i still r on the wrong path of life…knowing that i am a student of Guru Nakak Devji it took me 30 long years to understand. Swamiji i am tired of myself I want to walk behind my Guru but some of my deeds is against me please tell me what to do?
Swami Ram Swarup: Repentance and resolve to not to repeat the sins again, enable a person to get the blessings of Almighty God, who forgives the sins of repenter, if the person starts to follow the Vedic path. So, your views are appreciated especially to seek God’s help.
So, please take a firm decision not to commit any kind of sin again. Secondly, a student must know that it is his moral duty to concentrate fully on his study and to take care of his health. Then only will he be able to please the parents and almighty God. Always avoid bad society but never be jealous of anyone.
You should do daily path as well as name jaap of Almighty God. Demoralization is harmful for a student. So, time and again he must repeat his lessons till he learns well. I mean to say hard study is required. I also paste my article in this regard:-
STUDENT LOSING CONCENTRATION
Concentration is not made on mind, but mind has to be concentrated on particular point or subject etc. It requires practice of Yam, Niyam, Asan, Pranayaam, Pratyahar, Dharnna and Dhyan then one attains Samadhi. In this path, guidance of a spiritual master who knows Vedas and Ashtang Yoga philosophy is needed. Holy name jaap of God helps a lot. I have written a book on Yoga which can be sent on receipt of your postal address. However, personal guidance as stated is essential. It is a moral duty of a student to concentrate on hard study and to look after his health. Avoid bad society always concentrate on your Brahamcharya. Awake early in the morning and after bath-brush etc., do holy name jaap of God at least for fifteen minutes. Go for morning walk and light exercises daily. Take plenty of water i.e., 15-20 glass in a day. Always respect your parents, elders and teachers. Must be soft spoken, Avoid TV to see bad scenes, films etc. This all will help you
to concentrate in you study. Whatever, you study and learn, try to write on rough book a lot without seeing books etc. Please refer to the book- “Brahamcharya-Dukh Nivarak Divya Mani”.

Please try to study Vedas and holy books which throw light on worship and moksh. I’ll also advice you to study my 2 or 3 books on spiritualism based on Vedas, shastras etc., in Hindi, if possible. Always do pious deeds and try to recite Gayatri mantra both times and do havan from Gayatri mantra. Try to learn asan, pranayaam and meditation locally. I am away and can’t teach you. Das: Pranam guruji charna sparsh. is it nesasarry to visit holy place like MECCA, KASHI & VYATIKAN ..,because God is omnipresent,omniscient,& even in RO (reverse osmosis ) system removes invisible chemicals, dissolved solids & all bacteria & viruses since (RO Membrane pore size is 0.0001 micron ) pass through membrane it doesn’t loose oxygen (GOD) that’s why we get pure water .
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Sects inspire to visit holy places and he who has his faith in them, he may go ahead. As far as Vedas are concerned the God is Omnipresent. Yajurveda mantra 40/8 states that God is everywhere i.e., within the human body and outer universe as well. However, ved-shastras, Upnishads, Bhagwad Geeta etc., i.e., all holy granths state that when an aspirant follows the Vedic path, does practise of Ashtang Yoga etc., Yajyen, name jaap of God under the guidance of learned acharya of Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy then the God manifests within his heart i.e., God is always realized within the human body and not outside the human body. So, his worship by doing name jaap of Almighty God while sitting on an asan and practicing Ashtang Yoga Philosophy i.e., meditation etc., can be performed anywhere on the earth.
