Anonymous: Please consider the balance amount towards donation. It would be my privilege if I can do something to contribute in auspicious work of swamiji for printing of Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta, ek Vedic Rahashye – Part II. Thanks for your gratitude. I am obliged.
Swami Ram Swarup: I bless you, my dear, for your pious donation towards printing of Bhagwad Geeta – Ek Vedic Rahasya – II. As you know, I do not tell any aspirant to donate but I’ve felt that automatically the desire originates with in the heart of devotees and they send donations at their own. Though financial trouble comes in publishing of every new book yet by the grace of God it is solved automatically. So, if you desire then you may fulfill your pious desire at your own, please. Thanks.
Bipin Badheka: Pranam, Guruji. Charan Sparsh. Kindly request to please guide us on below.
(1) It is stated that when Shri Ram & Shri Lakshman took leave from Shabri, she burnt her body with yogic fire. What does this mean? Isn’t it suicide and sin? Please guide.
(2) It is stated that shukshma sharir has 5 prans, 5 organs & 5 sukshma bhoot. So could you please name these 15 things.
(3) It is stated that during sound sleep, soul resides in our heart. Also mentioned that it is karan sharir wherein soul remains in sound sleep. So does it mean karan sharir is located in our heart? Please guide. Pranam.
Swami Ram Swarup: (1) Suicide is committed under tensions, problems etc. Whereas the title of a Yogi/Rishi is attained in Dharmamegh Samadhi after destruction of all sins, deeds, tensions and problems etc. when a Yogi knows himself, I mean to say, the yogi knows that he himself is a soul and not body and one day body is required to be left then at this juncture, Yogi has his own desire to leave his body because he has no kind of attachment with his body etc., except with God. Yogi remains in divine pleasure while being within body and also after leaving the body. So, body is no matter for him and he leaves the body at his own, which shabri did. However, shabri wanted to leave her body earlier, at the time of death of her acharya –Kabandi Rishi. But Kabandi Rishi advised her to remain in her body till Sri Ram came to her ashram.
(2) In this connection, my article is as under-
Suksham shareer contains five prann, five organs, five suksham bhoot, man and buddhi (mind/intellect). This sharer remains with the soul after death also.
(3) karann shareer means Prakriiti because prakriti is karann (reason) of making/creating the five matters i.e., Agni, Vayu, Jal, Akash and Prithivi of which human body is made of .
When a person takes sound sleep, it means he is related with karann shareer.
Aneel: Swami Ji, Why do different prophets give contradictory teachings? i.e. Lord Buddha preached, “Don’t kill”. Guru Govind Singh preached, “Kill”. One prophet preached, “Renounce and go to the forest”. Sri Ramanuja preached, “Enjoy at home. Have no attachment. Worship Vishnu”. Please explain.
Swami Ram Swarup: Every saint states his experiences. So, Buddha’s preach is towards non-violence only. Guru Gobind Singhji’s preach, as a great warrior, is also correct to kill the nation’s enemies. The preach of another saint to renounce and go to forest is also correct which is applicable only to ascetics (true sanyasis) who have attained a stage, after practising Ved and ashtang Yoga Philosophy, where every attachment is overcome and the ascetic, at this stage, is desirous of attaining only Dharmamegh Samadhi i.e., realization of God. So, to live in jungle suits only the said ascetic and not others.
The statement of another saint, written by you, to some extent, does not tally with Vedas. Because if a person will enjoy at home, then he will have sure attachment. So, duly indulged in attachment , Vedas say, such person should continue his Vedic Sadhna daily and one day he’ll be able to destroy attachment etc., and would like to keep himself alone and the best loneliness is jungle.
That is why, Vedas have advised four ashrams- Brahamcharya, Grihastha, Vanprasth (proceed to jungle) and sanyaas.
Now, please listen about Vedas, what Vedas say. Vedas say that a person should attain through knowledge of Vedas from his spiritual master, he should also continue daily, Vedic sadhna i.e., Yajyen, agnihotra, name jaap of God and practice of Ashtang yoga Philosophy, even in family life.
One day, he would be able to know about “don’t kill teaching” that don’t kill the innocents and try to maintain non-violence but in the matter of thieves, robbers, national enemies the king/administrator should immediately kill them or give them hard punishment. Rigveda mantra 1/6/10 also very well states that no one should try to harass or kill anyone unjustly. Rigveda mantra 1/4/5 states that the king/administrator and learned should give protection to the learned people and award punishment to the sinners. That is why, Guru Gobind Singhji preached to kill the enemies.
So, Vedas preach is this that do the justice accordingly. I mean to say, the defaulter should not excused and the learned should never be harassed. National enemies and other sinners living in nation should be punished accordingly by using violence on them and the Brahmin, great sanyasi/ascetic should do Tapsya in a lonely place like jungle etc.
