Chintan Dev: Pranaam Swamiji. Swamiji, I got your answers of my previous question. I am very satisfied with your answer. I would like to ask you one another question and that is what Sanskrit can teach us?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Thanking you, please. As regards, Sanskrit language, you see all over ancient spiritual books/epics like six shastras, upnishads, Valmiki Ramayan, Mahabharat, Shatpath Brahmin Granth etc., are written in Sanskrit language only. In the ancient times only Sanskrit language was used as means of communication and for preach. Uptil Mahabharat war only Sanskrit was in vogue to speak, write and conduct all activities of daily life. No other language existed. The said fact is known from the ancient Rishis books like Mahabhart etc. Therefore, it is very much clear that Sanskrit language has given us first the divine knowledge of four Vedas. Infact, Vedas also emanate direct from God in divine Sanskrit from which the worldly Sanskrit has been derived. Thereafter, the Sanskrit language has blessed us with knowledge of shastras, upnishads, Valmiki Ramayan, Bhagwad Geeta and several other granths written by Rishis. When the aspirants become learned of above quoted books then only after Mahabhart war, Hindi and other languages were created and used accordingly. In the absence of divine and worldly Sanskrit, the knowledge of Hindi language etc., and the knowledge of science, mathematics, worldly matters and spiritualism was not possible. So, the Sanskrit language as quoted above, has
taught us a lot. Now, we can write the knowledge of above quoted Sanskrit divine granth in any language, please. Sanskrit language is our matri bhasha (mother tongue).
D: Guruji charan sparsh. Can you please tell me any ayurvedic medicine for loose weight as I do yoga walking and meditation with havan also?
Swami ramswarup: My blessings to you. You are already doing well by doing yoga, walking, meditation with havan. In addition, you should do daily exercises as well as regards Ayurvedic medicines, please take advice from an Ayurvedic doctor.
Neha: Why Indians face problem in pronunciation?
Swami Ram Swarup: In the matter of pronunciation of any language, entire world is involved, please. For example- when an American would try to learn and speak Hindi, he will have to face some trouble in the beginning and that trouble must not be treated as problem. So, is the case of Indian. Every country man has his own language according to his country which he speaks since birth in the lap of mother and tongue is accordingly turned. So, the speaking problem must not be treated as a problem. Everybody must respect and learn each language, especially English language which has become international language.
Kamalnayan Gulati: I want to ask that can we read or keep Mahabharat at home?
Swami Ram Swarup: Yes, you can keep and read Mahabhart granth at your home, please. Actually, Mahabhart granth has 10,000 shlokas written by Vyas muniji nowadays about one lakh, ten thousand unauthentic shlokas have been added. So, please try to read Mahabharat Granth commented by Paranhans Swami Jagdishwranand Saraswati which is published by M/S Govindram Hasanand, Arya Sahitya bhavan, Nai sarak, Delhi.
It has been spread totally false that if Mahabhart granth will be kept and read at house, there will be quarrels in home. How a Vyas Muni’s written granth which is entirely based on Vedas, can be commented that it will create quarrels in home? Rishis are Mantra-Drishta and always tell truth. In Atharvaveda, However, it has been stated that only Vedas which are God’s voice and the holy granth written by mantra-Drishta Rishis should be learnt/read/kept etc. The said mantra (7/105/1) further state that the holy granths are named but written by ordinary man/woman must never be kept/read/learnt.
