Bipin: Pranam, Swamiji. I request you please guide on this. I am taking three examples say, one person is serious from few days and also thinks that his death is nearby. Another person dies in his sleep due to sudden heart attack and third person dies on the spot due to car accident. Now may question is Swamiji, under these 3 circumstances what will be condition of soul? In the first case there is in mind of a person and he may start chanting God but in other two situations person doesn’t get time to remember God before death. At time of death i.e. before leaving the body whether soul comes to know that I am getting death? Whether it experiences or feels that death?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Situation of the soul actually remains constant i.e., the soul is pure, immortal, out of illusion, never takes birth and death. So, the said situation always remains constant but due to the attraction of the soul towards materialism i.e., the effect of rajo, Tamo and sato gunn of Prakriti which further creates kaam, krodh, mad, lobh, ahankar etc., the soul forgets its said unchangeable form and being involved in illusion, has failed to control senses, mind and perceptions. Then, the mind and intellect make the soul to agree to indulge in above quoted kaam, krodh etc., and several sins. So, the death of A, B, C has been awarded by God based on the souls good or bad deeds. The liberated soul knows about death etc., but the souls who are indulged in illusion do not know anything.

S: My grandfather passed away yesterday, I am quite attached to him, can’t bear this pain. Am far off from my native place could not get his last glimpse. I am fasting today and please mail me which mantra I should chant for the please of his soul and his moksha. Please mail me soon I will be obliged.
Swami Ram Swarup: I am sorry to listen about your grandfather’s demise. Everyone has to bear the sorrow because it is an unavoidable natural process. Actually, every pious deed like worship, name jaap and havan from Ved mantras is done while our loving family members remain alive. After going to heavenly abode, there is only one way, tells Atharvaveda mantra 11/1/19 that we should perform Yajyen. Aahuti in the burning fire of Ved mantras in a proper organized Yajyen is beneficial for fifteen generations, seven who has left, seven of future and fifteenth is person who is alive and doing Yajyen. So, you may do havan or Yajyen if possible there otherwise, you may tell your family members of your native place to do Yajyen for your grandfather. You may however, pray to God while chanting Gayatri mantra, both times.

Md. Hasan: Swami ji Aadab I want to know, who is the writer of four Vedas. According to Buddhism Rawana is the writer of four Vedas is true or not? Please send reply.
Swami Ram Swarup: Aadab, please. There is no writer of four Vedas, please. Because Vedas are not books. It is an eternal process that after expiry of time of final destruction, new creation starts, then at a proper time, knowledge of four Vedas emanates direct from formless, Almighty God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis. God has all powers, so with the divine power of God, every Rishi (named Agni, Vayu, Aditya, and Angira) becomes able to understand words, meanings and idea of each mantra of the Ved. The four Rishis with the power of the God remembered the Vedas by heart. Another person, whose name was Brahma, served the four Rishis and after listening to the Vedas from the four Rishis he also became able to learn the Vedas by heart. Brahma again gave the knowledge of Vedas to others, who remembered it by heart. The process of listening and learning the knowledge of Vedas by heart remained in vogue uptil Mahabharat time in which the Mahabharat epic was written by Vyas Muniji. Uptil the knowledge of Vedas was spread orally and traditionally and followers remembered it by heart. That is why, Vedas are also called Shruti-means which is heard/listened.

Now, about five thousand three hundred years ago (time of Mahabharat war) Vyas Muni who also remembered the Vedas by heart started writing Ved mantras on Bhoj patra. He compiled the four Vedas into written form. When he completed this great task, then that pious day was poornnmasi. That is why, this Poornnmasi is remembered till date as Vyas Poornima.

So, the knowledge of the four vedas was originated in the heart of four Rishis by Almighty God, Himself. That is why, Patanjali Rishi states in his Yog shastra sutra 1/26-
“SAHA EESHEY POORVE SHAM API GURUHU KALENANVACHCHEDAT”

i.e., Almighty God is the guru of ancient four Rishis of non-sexual creation. So, Ravanna was not the writer of four Vedas.
