Anonymous: Dear Guruji, Is it true that a child should not have haircut or not even hair trimming done before Mundan Sanskar? If yes, please kindly explain the reason. Thanks!
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, beti. Yes, before mundan ceremony there should not be any hair cut. There are two parts of head called cerebral hemispheres. The said two parts remain always separate till the child crosses the age of two. Thereafter, the said parts join together. Till this time the hair protects the skull from any small hit on the head and when the two parts of head join then there remains no fear of small hurts.

Anonymous: Dear Guruji, In recent 2 years, I have been suffering from excessive wax in my ears. I have to go to doctor for wax removal every one or two months because the wax would block my ear canals, thus hampering my hearing. The doctor said there’s no medication for that and has just prescribed an ear drop to ease the problem but it doesn’t work. The excessive wax has been bothering me for more than a year and I’m feeling helpless regarding that. What else can I do to ease the problem? Thanks!
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Boil two cloves of garlic in twelve table spoons of mustard oil for six minutes on lowest flame of gas. Cool it and sieve it and store it in small bottle when it becomes totally cool. Then you can put two drops of oil in each ear. Repeat this process thrice a day.
