MeiKam: Dear Guruji, Vedas state that a child of other families etc., should not be adopted. How about those unfortunate couples who cannot have children of their own? Also, how about adopting an orphan who is no longer taken care of his/her parents? Thanks!
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. Vedas tell the basic principles which are unchangeable and unchallengeable. So, every person must keep the same always in his mind.

MeiKam: Dear Guruji, wasting food is a sin. But what if the situation is either discarding the food or consuming the food which may harm our health (e.g. Too spicy/ too salty/ too much fats, etc.)? Thanks!
Swami Ram Swarup: The food must never be wasted. So, if in a situation, the fatty food is not to be taken then the same should either be given to a needy person or animals, birds etc.
