Nagrani: I want to find my God Shivji? Can I find? Please help me to find?

Swami Ram Swarup: The conclusion of study of four Vedas from a learned acharya reveals that there is only one
formless, almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. We have to worship Him only. However, if you believe worshipping Shiv ji Maharaj, you may carry on, please. You have put question to me so I would like to brief you regarding the eternal knowledge of Vedas. In this connection, please read the article on Brahma. Vishnu, Mahesh.

Nagrani: I want to find my God Shivji? Can I find? Please help me to find?

formless, almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. We have to worship Him only. However, if you believe worshipping Shiv ji Maharaj, you may carry on, please. Nirmala: You have said that a pregnant woman must avoid to see the moon (chandra grahan) directly with eyes. Why so? Please clarify this. Secondly, Sri Krishna Maharaj was yogeshwar and philosopher of Vedas who preached Geeta according to his deep knowledge of Vedas. Why are people so ignored nowadays to call him the creator of all human beings? He is equivalent to God but he is not God. Why people do not study Valmiki Ramayan? This is really truly very sad.

Swami Ram Swarup: Not only pregnant women but everyone should avoid to see Chandragrahan or Suryagrahan directly through eyes. As per the report of science, it may be harmful for the eyes. The people are ignorant because nowadays, mostly saints are not spreading the eternal knowledge of Vedas, please. Vedas tell to worship only one God who is formless, Almighty, who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. God is eternal; and there is, was and shall be no God except the eternal one, who is only the creator.

Atharvaveda mantra 4/11/7 states when a yogi after deep study of Vedas and hard practice of Ashtang Yoga, performing Yajyen etc., realises Almighty God, he becomes equivalent to God but not God. That yogi can’t create, nurse and destroy the universe. God never takes birth and never faces the result of deeds whereas every yogi takes birth and faces the result of his previous lives’ deeds before attaining salvation. So millions of facts about the form of God along with unlimited qualities and divine deeds etc., have been briefed by God Himself in the Vedas which the public does not listen from the ordinary saints who are against the Vedas and hence, the illusion which has
spread, problems, tensions, blind faith, sickness, corruption, unlimited diseases and sorrows etc., in
the public.

I have written Bhagwad Geeta six chapters with detailed comments according to Vedas and would like to send you as presentation after reading your views. If you desire, you can send your postal address. In the book, I have tried to clarify the fact that Sri Krishna studied Vedas along with Sudama in the ashram of Sandeepan Rishi and also from other Rishis. He became Yogeshwar. Secondly, Bhagwad Geeta is an extract of Bheeshma Parv of Mahabharat written by Vyas Muniji. So, the knowledge of Bhagwad Geeta is completely based on Vedas’ knowledge which Sri Krishna Maharaj studied. When, there is not a single Ved mantra about avtar/reincarnation in Vedas then how can Sri Krishna Maharaj declare himself as avtar. He has not mentioned the same in Bhagwad Geeta but the fact is understood only when either Bhagwad Geeta is listened from a learned acharya of Vedas who has also practised Ashtang yoga or Vedic comments of above quoted yogi on Bhagwad Geeta are read. Otherwise one can go ahead with his belief.

Spiritual Seeker: What is your opinion on “Advaita Vedanta”
philosophy? Will it contradict Vedas?

Swami Ram Swarup: I have told on this website several times that present Vedanta philosophy is against the eternal knowledge of Vedas, please. Vedas tell about Traitvad i.e., three eternal, immortal matters- Almighty God, souls and Prakriti. God and souls are alive whereas
Prakriti is non-alive matter. Vedas tell as is also stated in Yajurveda mantra 40/8 that God is formless, omnipresent and does not take birth etc., unlimited qualities of formless God have been briefed in Vedas by God Himself. But Vedas neither tell about avtar (reincarnation) nor Advaitvad. In Advaitvad, there is only one God and soul and prakriti and prakriti made universe do not exist. So, it is against the Vedas. I have written a book named- “Eternal Vedas philosophy and Vedanta”. I will advise you to study the book wherein every doubt has been cleared. The book can be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you desire. The price of book is Rs. 31/- excluding postal
charges.

Shailesh Garg: It was a great experience for me and my family to see you and listen to you. Please pardon me for any indiscretions and mistakes. I have a feeling you can see through me. My heart says you are the one. Maybe you have already guided me even before I visited you. Please take me in your fold. I know I am not worthy of your grace. I have no right to ask you. But I still hope.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you and your family for a long, happy life. I appreciate your views. You have not committed any mistakes but it was a real pleasure for Ved Mandir that you came along with your family to listen to Vedas which is a great blessing of God on
you. All my disciples here remember you and hope you will come again and again here.

ajay gayadin: Can you explain me why some people have special powers, like they can see in future, feel things, know things, etc. They can do things what others not can, like the rishi munies in the past. Some are born with it, some get it when they practise spirituality. I think there is written in the Vedas and purans about this. Can you explain this things please, and where is also written in the Vedas and purans and also can you tell me what is the meaning about shaktipat and who can do this?

Swami Ram Swarup: Special power is attained only by a yogi who has studied Vedas and has done hard practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy and thus has acquired eight siddhis in return as mentioned in chapter seven of Yajurveda. Otherwise, Vedas never tell that any person without
doing worship of God as quoted above can achieve any special powers etc. The word “Shakti pat” has also not been mentioned in Vedas, please. Vedas are eternal knowledge which emanates direct from God at the beginning of the earth. I would like to tell about Vedas. Please read the article on Vedas’ Philosophy as well.

Pankaj: I would have another question that is before death some people use to donate their part of body like kidney, eyes etc is that right? If it is right what kind of phal it gives?

Swami Ram Swarup: As said in Yajurveda mantra 40/15 our human body made of
prakriti is to cremated at last. So better if the body parts are donated to any needy person in whose life there come happiness. This will be act of benevolent and sure God will give blessings to the soul who has gone to heavenly abode.

Tarun Kanti Biswas: We are married two years before. Now we want a kid who will become a meritorious, intelligent and brave. For that what process (garvadhan) we have to do
and when. Please guide us.

Swami Ram Swarup: In this connection I would like to ask you to read “16 Vedic Sanskars” which are pasted on this website. If the same are not located then write too me again, please. Garbhadaan sanskar is performed, which is pious sanskar before taking pregnancy, in which Yajyen is performed with Ved mantras by an acharya or a purohit who knows Vedas as was performed by Shringi Rishi in the case of King Dashrath and his wives – Kaushlya, Kekai and Sumitra. If you are able to come here along with your wife, parents and others then the Yajyen will be performed here otherwise you may contact with nearest Arya Samaj mandir for the same
please.

Manish Shastriji: Please mail me when are yoga & Ved classes going to be conducted in Mumbai?

Swami Ram Swarup: I, for the last so many years, am not able to go out of station please. All the spiritual pious deeds are been done here in Ved Mandir please and deeds for
writing the spiritual books and VCD’s etc., while delivering spiritual speech on Vedas remains always in process day and night. So you are advised to come here. Yoga classes will be held from 2nd week of April this year for 15 days only. However, if somebody still invites me then in rare cases I also try to go there. So if you are able to invite me and arrange yoga classes in Bombay then I can come during Oct-Nov., which will be beneficial for a number of needy aspirants also.

In Bombay, there are number of my disciples who have been requesting me for the same since a
number of years and their desire will also be fulfilled. But better if you come here, please.

Kripa: Does Riha, ruhin, ruhi and reyah or rhea have any meaning in Sanskrit?

Swami Ram Swarup: Riha is an Urdu word meaning of which is “to liberate from binding.” Ruhin- is not a Sanskrit/Hindi word. Ruhi- is a kind of tree. In Urdu it has spiritual
concern i.e., soul. Rehay- is not a Sanskrit /Hindi word. It is an Urdu word meaning ostentious.

D: If some one do havan with Gayatri mantra and suddenly he sees himself in form of light then what is this?

Swami Ram Swarup: It is good omens’ and he must continue havan and he will sure feel more and more divine experiences.

Raju Paralkar: Kapalbhati is being promoted as a solution to all common ailments such as overweight, high BP, diabetes, etc. What are the precautions to be taken while performing this prannayam?

Swami Ram Swarup: Every Prannayam must be done mostly empty stomach, but some quantity of water must be taken. In my views the diseases are controlled by medicines and getting perfection in yam and Niyam which are the first two parts of ashtang Yoga when aspirant starts practice of observing yam and Niyam and then does asan, prannayam, pratyahaar etc., then he will automatically get physical and mental power and peace. So, the practice of Ashtang Yoga Philosophy is mainly to realise God which is the main motto of human life. Before doing Kapaalbhati, Yam , Niyam, asan must be practised properly there after some prannayam must also be practised. Then Kapaalbhati must be practised. And all such practice must be learnt under the guidance of a learned acharya first. My blessings to you for a long, happy life.

Harish Arya: I want to be position holder in my class, what should I do? I do yoga for 30mins, awake early in the morning at 5am and meditate for 30mins and work hard for 16hrs. is there any solution to you about this query?

Swami Ram Swarup: I think you are doing well. Being a student, you must take care of your health and must do hard study. Student must never be indulged in bad society and must be careful to observe Brahamcharya (celibacy) which increases memory a lot. Always try to increase writing power. Whatever you learn, you must write the same without book on rough copy. In the end of week, revision must be done and you may be knowing- Practice makes man perfect. My blessings to you.

Harish Arya: Whenever I concentrate on the space between two eyebrows during meditation then at that time it is difficult to concentrate on Om chanting. So what should I do?

Swami Ram Swarup: First of all, the process of concentration must be learnt from an acharya, properly in person. Then it will be known that concentration is the sixth stage of Ashtang yoga philosophy which is called “Dharnna”. So after practising first-five stages, aspirant reaches on sixth stage of Dharnna (concentration) otherwise there will be no concentration, please.

Lakshmi: Is it nice thing to do to hurt the family by ignoring the family affairs and do religious things like hawan? Does the person gets mokska?

Swami Ram Swarup: Yes, it is not a nice thing to hurt the family if a member of the family commits sin or follows irreligious path. But it is not a sin if a member of the family follows religious path like performing havan, please why? Because to do the havan, is an order of Almighty God in Vedas. For example-Yajurveda mantra 1/1 and the following mantras tell that our senses, perceptions and mind must perform holy Yajyen, daily to get long, happy life and permanent peace and wealth, assets necessary to live upon. Vedas clarify that every asset including food etc., is acquired by performing Yajyen. Yaska Muni in his Granth tells Yajyen is the best worship of God. Please read the article on importance of Yajyen.

Bal: Guruji, Ramayan kahan se arambh hoti hae, shiu autar ke baad me? Aur, Mahabharat kahan par smaapth hoti hae, phir krishna autar kahan se arambh hoti hae? Yeh mujhe samjhaeye aur kaon yug ki baat hae.

Swami Ram Swarup: Valmiki Ramayan and Tulsikrit Ramayan starts from Balkand. However, Valmiki Ramayan ends with Lanka kand and whereas Tulsikrit Ramayan ends with Yuddhakand . In Valmiki Ramayan, Shiv-avtar has not been mentioned. Vedas also tell that Avtar is not possible.

Mahabharata epic starts with Aadiparv and ends with Swaragarohann Parv. As stated above, Vedas
do not tell about Avtar please. Please read the articles on Avtarvaad. Valmiki Ramayan was written in Treta Yug whereas Tulsi wrote his Ramayan in Kalyug. Mahabharata epic was written in Dwapur Yug.

Mukesh: Is it true that once baby is born, baby and mother should be isolated from outside disturbance ie. music/people talks. Is there any harm to see baby by other family members?

Swami Ram Swarup: There is no harm to see baby by any member but the member must be clean with hands, mouth and clothes and he should never kiss the baby. Yes, it will be beneficial for the baby if he is kept away from the noise, then the baby will take sound sleep which is beneficial for health.

Mani: Is it true that the griha pravesh shouldn’t be done if the lady of the house is pregnant? If so, can the man of the house conduct pooja alone? Or Should they move into a house without pooja? Or Is it ok if some one else perform pooja for griha pravesh?

Swami Ram Swarup: No, please. It is not true as it is not mentioned in Vedas. It is injustice to the ladies to say same. Secondly, in the newly built house, God is there and similarly within the body of the lady. Man or any living being, God is present there being omnipresent. God is also in everyone’s stomach where stools and urine are stored. God is also in the gutters etc. But Almighty God is the purest matter who always remains away from any kind of dirt, dirtiness etc. Therefore the house will not become impious after being entered by the lady. However, Vedas-shastras tell that on every pious occasion, one must remember God and Acharya (guru). So before entering the house, we must do havan with Ved mantras, which is the best worship of God, please.

Dharmendra: Swamiji, if you think God is alive then how it is possible that God is formless?

Swami Ram Swarup: Non-alive matters cannot be formless but those matters are always possesses a form. Only Almighty God is formless. Even soul is formless but when soul is
given human body then soul does deeds through his senses, perceptions and mind. But God being Almighty, i.e., God has all unlimited powers so God needs not to do any deed of the world after taking help from senses, perceptions and mind.

Munish Kaura:You have prepared very good and knowledgeable website, but you haven’t mentioned the method of doing Gayatri mantra on KARMALA (Chanting mantra on Hands
instead of any mala) which is considered as the best method of performing Gayatri Mantra. Also tell the method of AJAPAJAP. Please explain how can I perform Prannayam simultaneously with Gayatri Jaap without disturbing my mind as you mentioned in Gayatri mantra Section.

Swami Ram Swarup: Thanking You, please. As regard , chanting of Gayatri mantra,
chanting mantra on hands, it involves the knowledge of Hrisva, Deergha ,Plut svar. Then the Gayatri mantra will be sung. This knowledge is given in person not by E-Mail, please. However, such knowledge is for those who sings Samveda mantras but as far as chanting of Gayatri mantra only and doing Yajyen from gayatri mantra along with its meaning, Ashtadhyayi Sutra 1/2/34 “YAJKARMANNYAJAPNYUNGKHSAMSU” states that singing is not necessary. Ajapajap and
prannayam are related to the breathing system and therefore are taught in person please. You are always welcome here.

K D Gupta: Is Bhagwatgita not suitable for humans above 45? What about Ramayan, Vedas, etc.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Bhagwad Geeta, Valmiki Ramayan are authentic religious books based on the knowledge of Vedas. Whereas Vedas are eternal knowledge which emanates direct from God, so all the authentic religious books are applicable for the souls, for whole of life. The books are applicable for soul and not for young or old age human body, please.
Salvation is to be attained by soul and not by body. However, soul takes assistance from bodies to do worship of God and to discharge all moral duties towards, family, nation etc.

Vijoy Kumar Sharma: Is GUNA Milan important at the time of marriage of Boy & Girl?,Which Guna is most necessary?

Swami Ram Swarup: Gunn means qualities. Good qualities like education, character, hard working, to be financially sound, respect to elders, capability to put on the responsibilities of family life, tolerance/patience, to be God fearing etc., are to be checked for boy as well as for daughter. However, the Gunn as said in present teva etc., are not required, as the said process of teva is not mentioned in Vedas, please.

Pankaj: Guru ji I use to ask question time to time for my satisfaction now my question is some people are having 5 childern some 9 and some having 4 those days too but some people don’t have child. What could be the reason?

Swami Ram Swarup: You are always welcome, please. Those who do not have child, it is mostly due to medical defect. They should go ahead for medical treatment because God helps those who help themselves. However, if medical authorities after medical examination and treatment, deny then it would be the result of past deeds which one should happily accept. There are several instances in the past like Bheeshma, Bal Brahamcharinni Gargi, Rishi Yagvalkya who had two wives but had no child but they all got salvation. So man must worship God while discharging all his moral duties to get peace otherwise he who has children or he who has no child, both will never become happy.

Sheena : I understand and fully accept the teaching of Vedas. I do believe that God is omniscient and is full of great capabilities. I also am aware that God is capable of many things and as I have been reading the question and answers column, I repetitively see you state that thousands of years ago the study of Vedas was the teaching before the Mahabharata war, and after
the war was over Vedas teaching vanished and people became ignorant. The definition of ignorant that is commonly used is not having an open mind towards many situations, and you being a teacher it seems in my perspective that you make Vedas teaching come across as ignorant as you are also saying that all religion that have come to terms with their beliefs are false. Yes, I believe that some things that have been thrown in some religious text don’t add up in terms of things being immorally wrong and unforgiving. I believe that a religion is an organization that is set up for political superiority and that a simple belief system is something that you believe in with your consciousness. There have been many incidents with the common man gaining spiritual strength to heal during their prayers and worshiping of their specific idols and for one to state they are wrong would be ignorant and thus wrong according to Vedas teaching. I also believe God can come as forms and for one to call a man ignorant for his/her beliefs is also ignorant. For one to accuse false is taking away the ability for truth. Therefore you, yourself cause chaos. There are a million reasons for moral and ironically enough Vedas is incorporated in every bit of it. In hinduism, buddhism and christianity. Yes, somethings are added in to ruin the authenticity of the a specific belief but when one gets in touch with ones innerself. In other words the greater God I believe that everything falls into place. There are a million and more elements in this universe and if one was believed to be an incarnate of God it would be best to not deny that claim. Everything emerges from somewhere. I also believe that sine Mahabharata that a world of open mind possibilities and not ignorance because Vedas has
always been a crucial part of what Hindu’s believe in because their teaching are surrounded by Vedas teaching. From Vedas emerged Hinduism, from Hinduism emerged Buddhism etc. No one ever has all the answers so my question to you is….what makes a Vedas in this day in age of corruption [where things are more likely to be false and ignorant] which you stated yourself so
sure about what is in your books according to Sanskrit since many others have the same ability to read Sanskrit and are more open to the idea of world like possibilities?

Swami Ram Swarup: Ignorant means he who lacks the knowledge of Vedas and I have never told that other religions are false. We respect all religions. However, every religion has a fundamental right of being spread all over the world. In this way, I am trying to spread the eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from God. So, please do not take it otherwise. In my book “Manav dharma Shiksha”, I have quoted verses from all spiritual books of the world. I also sing spiritual songs, in which I sing shabad kirtan, sufi music, Bhajans of Sri Ram, Sri Krishna also. I am only against those who misinterpret the holy books and misled the public making this religious path professional. But I say that Vedas are eternal knowledge, direct from God and whatever has been said in Vedas, it is all true and therefore we must not go against the Vedas. Yog shastra sutra 1/7 and sankhya shastra sutra 1/66 clearly teach that if you want to conclude any truth then tally your views with Ved mantras.

I have realized peace, by adopting eternal knowledge of Vedas like Sri Ram, Sri Krishna, their
public, Vyas Muniji, Vasishth Muniji and several Rishis. So, naturally I will mainly talk about Vedas. Those who have attained peace in their religion, definitely they would talk about their path. Your views according to your thoughts can be true. But in my opinion, the religion would only be an organization to set up political superiority when the politicians would make it. But, religion in Vedas has been made by God Himself and the chapter of politics is also therein which is nowadays not been adhered as was adopted by Sri Ram, Sri Krishna, King Janak, Harishchandra etc., and other religions are also said to be voice of God which cannot be told as “organization of setting up political superiority”. However, due to one or the other reason, if present politicians and organizations etc., are not able to understand the true picture of religion mentioned in the holy books and they use the same for politics then what can public do?

Simple belief may be blind faith also and belief with own consciousness is another thing which
would require regular study and hard practice of worship of God under advise of learned guru of the
concerned religion. It will not be base of mere talking or bookish knowledge. Simple man can never gain any spiritual power please because the said version has not been mentioned in Vedas or any true holy granth. When an aspirant would do hard worship/practice/tapasya, then how would he be called a simple man and how would he try to heal the wounds etc., as you mentioned, please.
He will never do this thing. He will preach the truth of worshipping God while discharging all moral duties towards family, society and nation and all human-beings to promote International brotherhood which is the real teaching of Almighty God in Vedas and other true holy Granths.

Yes, your belief that God can come in a form cannot be condemned and you may go ahead, please. But I would tell, based on Vedas’ preach that God is formless, omnipresent, creator, Almighty and has unlimited qualities and unlimited power and is therefore called Almighty and all his qualities are eternal and unchangeable. Secondly, Vedas tell that there must have been the reason of Almighty God to come in a form. If somebody tells that God had to come in a form to kill Ravanna, kansa or Duryodhan then Vedas tell that when God destroys the whole universe and creates again and nurses the universe without coming in a form then how he would take the assistance of human body/arms- ammunition to kill the culprits. Vedas tell that He is Almighty, has all powers and it
is quality of God to destroy the culprits, universe without any assistance. So there remains no reason for God to come in form. However, I would again say that you may believe your own views and can go ahead to attain peace, please. Second meaning of “ignorant” as told in Yog shastra is “Avidya”. Avidya means to consider impure as pure, sorrows as happiness, non-alive as alive, mortal as immortal. Now, either we may believe in ved-shastras, holy granth or we may make our own views. So everyone is free to accept any way. So everyone is free to tell lies or to say liar to anyone but the conclusion is always based on Vedas, Shastras, Upnishads and other holy books of the world. But it is Almighty God who decides about truthfulness or falsehood of anyone and accordingly awards the
result. I always give answers based on Vedas and holy books but I do not force anyone to accept my views, please.

Yes, there may be a number of reasons for moral but Vedas cannot be ignored being eternal
knowledge direct from God. Yet everyone is free, whether he accepts Vedas or not. So I would advise you not to accept my chaos, if it does not suit you.

Yes, one must know to be attached with innerself. Vedas tell innerself is soul who resides in non-alive human-body made of five matters of prakriti. Further Vedas and yog shastra sutra 1/1 & 2 state- that when a person listen to Vedas and Ashtang yoga philosophy and when he does practice of ashtang yoga philosophy then his chiita vritti are stopped and he realises innerself. The said version is of Vedas. If a person is able to realise innerself by other means he may happily go on that way.

Not to deny the claim of incarnation is one’s own view but the eternal knowledge of Vedas and
several world level holy books deny, please. Rigveda clarifies that unless sun rises, darkness
will prevail. Similarly when the knowledge of Vedas or knowledge of all true holy books of world’s level would not be understood and obeyed properly then illusion would spread amongst the public.

So corruption, injustice, insult of women, blind faith, anger, pride, ego, greed, baseless wars,
early deaths, diseases etc., are only due to lack of the knowledge of Vedas and religions. Vedas clearly state that if there would not be performance of Yajyen, respect of elders, hard-working and control on senses etc., then the said illusion and corruption, anger, injustice etc., will have to be faced by the public. Vedas are not difficult to understand. Vedas are to be listened from an acharya and not to be read. So listening is not difficult. However, it is upto one’s own discretion to accept Vedas or not. Secondly, Vedas are not sects. So while doing every type of worship knowledge of Vedas can be gained, if one desires.

It is also mentioned in Nyaya Shastra written by Gautam Muni that truth is established by discussion
only. Such discussion also took place between Sri Krishna Maharaj and Arjun otherwise blind faith would propagate. So I am very much pleased about your views and you are always welcome, please.

Harish Arya: I will like to take my first lesson from you over internet.

Swami Ram Swarup: You are always welcome here, please. In four Vedas, three kinds of knowledge/science have been preached. In Rigveda, knowledge of every Matter of universe/science is given. In Yajurveda, knowledge of all kinds of pious deeds/moral duties of men and women are given. In Samveda, the way of real worship of Almighty God is given. Atharvaveda teaches that all the above three types of knowledge/science are true and in addition Atharvaveda speaks about medical science as well. However, all four Vedas, state that Yajyen is the most pious deed to be performed including worship of the God.

Yajyen is not only to offer aahutis of Ghee, samagri in the havan-kund but main meaning of the
Yajyen is Devpooja, Sangatikaran, Daan. Dev pooja means there are five alive devas which are- mother who gives birth, father who nurses, learned atithi who gives knowledge, learned Acharya who gives true knowledge and who kills all the sorrows etc., of the disciple and makes the disciple capable to follow the real path of Vedas to get long, happy life and salvation.

The fifth dev is Almighty God who gives us everything to live upon etc., and especially who gives
us the knowledge of four Vedas at the beginning of the earth. The word “Pooja” as stated above has its meaning i.e., to give respect, to obey etc. So, the four devas i.e., mother, father, atithi and acharya are given respect in the shape of money, shelter, clothes, sweet speech etc. But Almighty God takes nothing and gives everything. So the real respect and worship of the God is that if we obey His divine preach given in Vedas. In this way we really worship the God.

So first preach of four Vedas is to perform holy Yajyen with Ved mantras daily. The way of Yajyen
with Ved mantras will be preached to you when you will come here. But you can start Yajyen with gayatri mantra only.

The meaning of gayatri mantra is mentioned on this website. Though gayatri mantra is first to be
listened from an acharya yet if you know its pronunciation, you may start doing havan, please.

Secondly, you must sit on siddhasan both times (morning and evening) as time suits and with closed
eyes without pronouncing, the gayatri mantra must be chanted in the heart along with its meaning.

Savitri Lakhan: What is Sahaja yoga. Self realization or kundali awakening. Is it Vedic or
Avedic thing?

Swami Ram Swarup: Nowadays, so many kinds of yoga are being taught. But, Vedas mainly tell about one yoga named Ashtang yoga. Patanjal yog shastra tells about Ashtang yoga
philosophy in brief, please.
By the grace of God, I have written detailed comments on each sutra of Patanjal Yog shastra in
Hindi. I would advise you to please read the book to know details about Ashtang yoga philosophy, if you so desire. Book will be sent to you on receipt of your postal address. Self-realisation means to know. When a person under guidance of his learned acharya of Vedas, worships God like performance of Yajyen, name jaap, Ashtang yoga practice, then one day, he knows himself which is called self-realisation.

I further explain please. The human body is made of five non-alive matters. So one day it is destroyed. Within this body soul resides. So we all are souls which reside in the body and we are not bodies. Due to the lack of knowledge of Vedas and worship as quoted above, mostly people say that they are bodies which is wrong. Kundali awakening matter has been briefed number of times on this website please. You are also advised to read my book- Question answers on Vedanta and eternal Vedas philosophy part I and Vedanta and eternal Vedas philosophy part II, if you so desire. In English in which above matter has been explained. Book will be sent to you on receipt of your confirmation, please. Please also read the reply to the question on Kundalini. Nowadays, mostly it is told that Kundalini is in the shape of snakes and so Kundalini is awakened etc., which is totally against the Vedas.

XYZ: Is it important for a woman to marry? If she does not marry and stay with her family with her studies, job and devotion is it fine with her? Are there any special rules to be followed during special times?
Swami Ram Swarup: Several daughters adopted Brahamcharya path and they never did marriage. So it is upto the capability of a daughter if she can adopt Brahmacharya path to realise God under advice of learned acharya of Vedas. Learned Gargi was a brahamcharinni who studied four Vedas and did practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy. She was acharya/guru of king Janak. Yes, she can live with her parents but spiritual and worldly pious deeds’ advices are required to be taken from learned acharya of Vedas and yoga philosophy.

At special times, woman can continue her worship for which I have written so many times that
God is omnipresent, so resides everywhere. He is in stomach, where stools, urine are also stored. He is in dustbin, gutter etc., too but he is so minutest and subtle and has unlimited qualities and the purest that he resides in every matter but matter never touches the God. So is the case of women’s period. However, shastras tell to be separate from kitchen and others because during that period time some harmful bacteria’s are produced.

GP: Namaste Swamiji, i am reading the book of Sri Shirdi Saib about parayanam. The book says that one has to have a relationship with someone when we read that book for pranayam. Is that right?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you for a long, happy life. It could be the own path of the writer or society of the book. But Vedas do not tell the same please. Vedas tell that in open airy place, one must sit on siddhasan or padmasan and after getting perfection in yam, Niyam, asan, then prannayam should be practised. While doing prannayam, one should try to concentrate avoiding any kind of thought in mind and it will give the best result if prannayam is done in lonely place.

Tarun Goel: Swamiji, as far as I know there are two things “smriti” ans “sruti”. Now sruti is hymn of God, its eternal. While shruti is, as the name itself implies, is a thing which must be valid for some period, now we do have Manu-samriti, which divides we people into
different castes, this thing must had been vanished many years ago, but then why are we still following and creating a living hell for our country. Second thing, this thing was supposed to be omitted somewhere near 50-60’s, didn’t we have enough wise people (which we call yogi’s), couldn’t they predict this thing that casteism is going to create problem to our country?

Swami Ram Swarup: At the beginning of every creation, the knowledge of four Vedas emanates from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis. The said knowledge is not given in writing or by pronunciation but is originated as said, in the heart of four rishis. At the time, the use of papers, ink, pen etc., was not discovered. So the four Rishis started preaching the Vedas to the Brahma and Brahma to others by pronunciation and every disciple used to learn the knowledge by heart after listening the same from an acharya. So, the knowledge of the Vedas traditionally had been spreading the knowledge by listening that is why, Vedas are called Shruti. The meaning of Shruti is to listen. Shruti is eternal and immortal knowledge.

Smriti is the book written by ancient Rishis after listening and remembering the knowledge of Vedas. So their holy books are called smriti. For example- Manu has written his book called Manusmriti. Yagvalkya Rishi has written his book called Yagvalkya smriti etc. Manusmriti does not tell about the caste system by birth and therefore does not divide the people on the basis of caste system please. However, some self-made false shlokas have been added in Manusmriti which tell about the caste system, which is against the theory of Manu Bhagwan. For your information, Vedas (Shruti) also do not tell about caste system by birth but according to deeds.

So, the Vedas, shastras, Smriti and other ancient holy books or present holy books must be listened from an alive, learned Yogi who is a philosopher of knowledge of four Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy.

Priti : What is Pralaye? What happens after that?

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you for a long, happy life, please. Pralaya ka matlab hota hai ki sara sansar nasht hokar prakriti ka roop dharann kar leta hai aur prakriti bahut hee suksham tatv hai isliye pralaya ke baad jal nahin hota, jal to nasht ho jata hai. Please also read the articles and questions on Creation.

Kripa: You Say Krishna was not God but then why in the Bhagavat Gita he says worship me and not the supreme God. In Chapter 9 of the Bhagavath Gita he describes himself to be the Supreme God and he says people should worship him?

Swami Ram Swarup: 9/11 Geeta shloka (MOODAHA) ignorant people (MAAM) me (MANUSHEEM) man’s (TANUM) body (AASHRITAM) holding (MUM) my (PARAM) the best/supreme (BHAVUM) natural /divine thoughts/feelings (AJAANANT) not knowing(MAAM) me
(AVJAANANTI) ignore which is (BHOOTMAHESHWARAM) the best amongst all the living beings.

IDEA— It is a well known fact that Shri Krishna Maharaja took birth from respected mother Devkee, his father was Vasudev jee. Vedas emanate direct from formless omnipresent God and all Vedas tell that God is “AJ EK PAAD” i.e., God does not take birth, he is immortal and unchangeable. So, Shri Krishna Maharaja can’t be considered as God. However, Shri Krishna Maharaja was adorable Yogeshwar and Almighty God manifested within him. So he was equivalent to God but not God.

So in a stage of divine merriment, generally Yogi starts telling himself as God, i.e., equivalent to
God. Here the idea of Shri Krishna Maharaja is that when Shri Krishna Maharaja was in his body (alive), at that time the ignorant people who did not agree with the eternal and divine Vedic views of Shri Krishna Maharaja for those Shri Krishna Maharaja states in this shloka that Oh! Arjuna! Such ignorant people are not aware of my eternal, Vedic views, so they ignore me because I am in a human-body. So they treat me as an ordinary man. Here it is to be noted that Shri Krishna Maharaja was not an ordinary man. He was supreme Yogeshwar.

Yet, people have faith in Shri Krishna Maharaja to worship him as God, it is their own belief
and they may continue.

Kripa: Why did Shri Krishna tell Arjuna in Bhagwad Geeta that I am the Supreme Personality?
Swami Ram Swarup: As per Vedas, avtar is not possible please. To determine every truth, the main proofs are Vedas, which are called self proof. Vedas state that after getting the knowledge from a learned Acharya, when an aspirant performs Yajyen, does pious deeds, discharges his moral duties faithfully, while doing the same he does practice of Ashtang yoga, he thus attains
Asamprgyat samadhi. At this stage of Samadhi, Almighty God becomes present within him. Samveda mantra 944 states that at the stage of the Asamprgyat samadhi within the yogi, the preach of Vedas which flows from the mouth of Yogi is inspired by God Himself. So the Yogi at this stage can say, “I am Ganesh, I am Shiva, I have created universe and all must worship me etc., etc.” because at this stage the words uttered by the yogi are inspired by God Himself and the words are
directed from God.

Secondly, the souls who had got salvation may come back and take birth to guide the people. And after doing his job the soul goes back at his own to realize salvation. This is as per Atharvaveda mantra 9/10/11. So within the soul of Shri Krishna Maharaj actually the words of God were uttered which are true. However, one must know that Yajurveda mantra 32/1 too says that there is only one formless God, who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. But His names are several according to His qualities.

So Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, Ganesh, Shiva are the names of God according to His qualities which I have briefed several times before.

I would advise you to read my book”Bhagwad Geeta- Ek Vedic Rahasya” in Hindi. Book contains 739 pages wherein detailed description of each Shloka of Geeta quoting Ved mantras has been given proving that Geeta and in each Shloka contains Vedic knowledge.

In this connection, I will advise you to please study my detailed comments on six chapters of Bhagwad Geeta. The said comments have been written based totally on Vedas, as Sri Krishna Maharaj was a great philosopher of Vedas and he has given a divine preach to Arjun based on Ved mantras. So Geeta is not a Geeta gyan but it is a knowledge of Vedas. I have given two and somewhere three Ved mantras in support of each shloka stating that each shloka of Bhagwad Geeta is based on Ved mantras I have given proof of Ved mantras that in many occasions.

K D Gupta: Is the mana an agent of atma who deviates the budhiyoga from brahmatatva attraction to bhoutikwad?

Swami Ram Swarup: Mann is not agent of soul when I hear these words from some saints also then it shocks me that mostly the saints are not learned of Vedas. Mann, budhi, chitta, ahankar are made of non-alive Prakriti. Soul is alive matter so how can mann etc., which are non-alive matters, be agents of soul. Actually system of human body made by Almighty God is that Five senses (i.e., eyes, nose, tongue, ears , skin) get information of worldly pictures, affairs, deeds etc., and send the same to mann. Mann sends to intellect (budhi) and budhi sends to soul to get final decision. The said process is eternal.

Soul has forgotten his original shape due to indulged in illusion. Therefore soul acts according to the chitta vritti when Vedic knowledge is gained and aspirants follow the path of Vedas then soul knows himself and illusion gets over.

K D Gupta: I feel God, see God why not others do?

Swami Ram Swarup: You cannot see yourself please, then how God sees God. Soul looks through eyes. Even if eyes are not given to soul in human body, then soul is not able to see. Formless God, who creates, nurses and destroys the universe is one, who has no body or nervous system etc. So, no question of God seeing the God. Actually, God at every moment sees everybody. But everyone is not able to see God. You see, if everyone is God then the great qualities of God -of being omnipresent shall have no relevance. So God is one who resides in souls as well as in every part of universe.

Ajay Gayadin: There is now a new thing going on about Diksha, people going to India to get Diksha and pay aloud of money for it.after that they go to home they also start making business of Diksha they giving diksha to clients and Friend/families and asking money for it!
They use the Moolamantra and not live in the way that have to be. Eat meat, drink alcohol, smoke etc, this is not good for our Hindu religion. Please can you explain the meaning of Diksha, who can give that, and can everybody give Diksha after initiation? Now people are trained to give diksha and to earn on it, is this good for our Hindu religion?

Swami Ram Swarup: If Sun in the shape of knowledge of four Vedas does not rise i.e., Vedas if are not studied from acharya naturally the darkness/illusion will engulf the public and any kind of worship etc., (self-made) can be spread among the public and innocent public shall follow the same since they are not enlightened by the sun of knowledge of Vedas.

Every subject has been briefed in Vedas. Therefore I tell you about Deeksha. Yajurveda mantra 19/30 states “VRATEIN DEEKSHA AAPNOTI, DEEKSHYA AAPNOTI DAKSHINNAM.
For answers to several questions including Deeksha, I would advise you to please study my book “VEDAS- A DIVINE LIGHT”. Worth Rs. 80/- excluding postal charges. Rebate can also be given, if you so desire. I also share answer about Deeksha printed in the said book.

Now a days mostly the saints and the people are not studying the eternal knowledge of God given in the shape of our Vedas. It has resulted to spread false meanings of divine Vedic words/mantras. So is the case of Divine word, “DEEKSHA”. Mostly everybody says that if name of God, whatever it may be (i.e., may be against the Vedas), is told by any Guru to his disciple then it means the disciple has been given DEEKSHA, which is actually against the Vedas. Now let’s see the Yajurveda mantra 19/30, “VRATEN DEEKSHAAM AAPNOTI”, VRATEN = to adopt Brahamcharya and true speech etc., DEEKSHAAM = Brahamcharya, the education/knowledge from Vedas, good education, AAPNOTI = are obtained.

So the meaning of DEEKSHA is clear that DEEKSHA is obtained by adopting Brahamcharya and observing truth, by speech, listening, holding in heart, etc. DEEKSHA i.e., the education of Brahamcharya and knowledge from Vedas/yoga philosophy etc., is obtained from an Acharya (learned of Vedas) by following the path of VRAT (VRATEN), i.e., to adopt Brahmacharya and
true speech etc., as mentioned above

.
Atharvaveda mantra 19/43/1 also throws light on the pious word DEEKSHA as under-: DEEKSHA = to observe Vedic rules, Brahmacharya, good education. The idea of whole mantra is O God! Please take ME TO THE PIOUS Place Where Yogi, who has realized God and knows Vedas philosophy, resides, adopting DEEKSHA (as stated above) and TAPSA SAH = along with Tap, i.e., study of Vedas, control on five perceptions, five sense organs, and mind.

Idea: if an aspirant will reach the above quoted place of a Yogi/brahamgyani, definitely he will realize God and get salvation. When people will be able to understand the said truth of the immortal Vedas then automatically they shall be beware of false prophets. The problem is only that the Bharatvarsh who was VISHWAGURU on the basis of Vedic culture, has lost the knowledge of Vedas and hence illusion.

Deeksha was given by ancient Rishi-munis and is still given at present after performing Holy Yajyen from Ved mantras being tradition of Vedas. Now, mostly the saints are not aware of Vedas and have made their own ways for Deeksha etc. It did not involve money matters. Secondly, Atharvaveda mantra 7/2/1 states that Deeksha or pravachan should be given by a Rishi who is a philosopher of Vedas and Yoga knowledge, which is often not seen nowadays.

So everyone cannot give Deeksha, as per eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from
God. It is not a profession. Please also see the article on Gurus.

Pankaj: In which month does the soul come during pregnancy? Please tell
me some mantras for good health of baby and how does he/she could be the great dignitaries like Karn, Bhishm Pitahmah/Arjuna?

Swami Ram Swarup: Soul comes in the very first day please. Thereafter, parts of body start developing. In the connection, please see this website and study -” VEDIC SIXTEEN SANSKARS”.

Kuttan Ajay: When Veda propogates God which is formless, then why do we worship God with idol? Is it not against the very tenets of Veda? More over the 3 main Gods according to Hinduism are Mahavishnu, Lord Shiva and Lord Bramha. Are they real, or is it our own creations? Does Veda has any reference about them? And who is superior among them?

Swami Ram Swarup: Idol worship is due to the fact that mostly the saints have not studied Vedas. So naturally, they will not preach the eternal knowledge of Vedas to the public. Secondly, people are already innocent about the knowledge of Vedas. Thirdly, for the last about two-thousand years, the idol worship has been preached by those saints who are not aware of the knowledge of Vedas. So either the man-made worship or the God-made worship will be followed by the people. God made worship is briefed in Vedas and man-made worship has been mentioned in other granths.

After Mahabharata war, knowledge of Vedas is not been given. As the result, worship against
Vedas has come into existence. So it is up to the public whether, they follow Vedas or not , however, Vedas are the eternal knowledge which emanates direct from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis, at the beginning of the earth for the benefit of the mankind. Please also read the article and questions on God is formless.

Dharmendra: Please tell me the meaning shloka 3.8-9 in Shwetashwatar Upnishanad. Also how can you say that your Valmiki Ramayan and Mahabharat is authentic? In fact I also have Valmiki Ramayan and Mahabharat (by Ved Vyas) which tells different story than your said book.

Swami Ram Swarup: 3.8-9 Shloka is “VEDAHAMETAM PURUSHAM MAHANTAMADITYA TAMASAHA PARASTAAT … VIDYATE AYNAAYA.” Its meaning is I know the supreme God who is shinning like a Sun in the sky and He is far away from darkness(illusion) . An aspirant overcomes the death only when he knows Him. Otherwise there is no other
way to get salvation.

Idea:- the Almighty God is a form of unlimited light Himself. He gives light to Sun, moon, whole of the world. Our worship must be for the said formless, Almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe and that too according to Vedas. Then only an aspirant overcomes the death and gets salvation. Please confirm that you wanted the explanation of above Shloka. I have not briefed the Shloka stating words and meaning of each word. If you desire then you can write E-Mail again.

I have clarified so many times on this website that there are only ten thousands shlokas of Mahabharata which are original and have been written by Vyas Muni and his disciple Gemini. But nowadays, about one lakh twenty thousand shlokas are there in Mahabharata. So one lakh, ten thousand shlokas are false. So in the case of Valmiki Ramayan. Once, I had to explain Valmiki Ramayan in a village of Jammu about twenty years ago. I asked for Valmiki Ramayan which was produced before me. I was surprised that the shloka no 1 of chapter 1 was not there and so many self-added shlokas were there. I had to search out for 1st shloka which is

“TAPAHA SWADHYAYE…… VANG VEDANG… ………….VALMIKI MUNI PUNGWAN.”

In view of the above you are right that my views do not tally with Valmiki Ramayan which you have read because you have read self-added shlokas and not the ones written by Rishi Valmikiji. Please, approach “M/S.Vijay Kumar Hasanand “, Nai Sadak, Delhi to get true Valmiki Ramayan and true Mahabharata Epic.

After studying the Ramayan and Mahabharata, please again send me your question.

Dharmendra: What is Samadhi and Mahasamadhi? After taking Mahasamadhi where soul goes? In Bhagvadgeeta there is mention about yam lok, narak lok ,swarg lok, pitri lok what is this?

Swami Ram Swarup: Similarly Samadhi is a word from Yog shastra etc., which is authentic but the word “Maha” has been added by somebody at his own and has been made Mahasamadhi. Mainly there are two kinds of Samadhi, – Sampragyat and Asampragyat and last is “Dharam Megh Samadhi” where a Yogi attains salvation. There are lengthy subjects so I would like to advise you to please read my detailed comments and meanings of each Yog Shastra Sutra in my book named- Patanjal Yog Darshan (part I and II).

In the 4th chapter of part II of the book, I have tried my level best with blessings of Almighty God to explain the subject of Samadhi thoughit has also been briefed in chapter 1 (part I of the
book) .

There is no swarg-narak, pitra lok in the sky etc. Vedas do not preach for the same. However, Atharvaveda mantra 6/120/3 states that when a family follows the Vedic path and always does pious deeds like Yajyen/Agnihotra , Ashtang Yoga practice, discharges all moral duties etc. then the family gets long, happy life free of tensions and diseases etc., which is called swarg-lok. When family/individual do not follow right path as mentioned then he faces tensions, problems, fights, diseases etc which is narak-lok for him or for his family.

Pitra means our elders who are alive and they nurse and take care of us. pitra are also those who have left for heavenly abode but we are concerned only with alive Pitra because after death , body is
cremated and soul of our pitra neither takes any thing from us nor can they do good work for us, they according to their deeds get next birth.

Yam is God Himself who controls death and birth. Neither there is Yamraj nor Yamlok who controls death, etc.

The said meanings are in accordance with eternal knowledge of Vedas. Sri Krishna Maharaj was
Yogeshwar and philosopher of Vedas who preached Geeta according to his deep knowledge of Vedas alone.

Harish Arya: What should someone do? if someone inspite of hardworking is not getting position in his class?

Swami Ram Swarup: Manu has quoted ten signs of dharma (eternal religion) which is only made by God in Vedas. It’s first sign is Dhriti i.e., patience, tolerance. So one should always be brave and never be demoralised. Then only he/she will be called religious person. Secondly, a student must try, try again. He has mainly two duties to perform- First to attain Brahmcharya and
look after his health. Second is he must do hard study. Now, the less or more marks also be the result of our deeds which become obstacle inspite of hard study. So to overcome the situation we must always remember God. If you are in home with your parents then you must daily do havan with gayatri mantra and chant gayatri mantra along with its meaning before going to bed. If in hostel then you should chant gayatri mantra in mind with its meaning daily both times. It will be beneficial to you.

A student must always be away from bad societies. He must also do daily light exercises in the morning, must take plenty of water daily i.e., at least fifteen glasses of pure water a day which will help the student to overcome the said sins and to make full concentration on his studies.

Every student must be brave and not coward. He must be a hard worker. So you must always struggle and do hard work to get success in life. And the word that student has become extremely distressed in life should not be used. Please try, try again to get success.

S IanalaThe last thought was about Prophets. God does not need Prophets? Kindly Explain, Who is a Prophet and how many Prophets are listed in Vedas, If any?

Swami Ram Swarup: SCOPE OF MENTIONING PROPER NOUN IN VEDAS
Vedas is a divine knowledge where, there is no reference about anyone. I have clarified a number of
times, the point that Vedas do not contain any history, story, fiction, falsehood etc. In Vedas,
proper noun has not been mentioned. Knowledge of Vedas emanates direct from God at the beginning of the earth which gives us education about three eternal matters-Rigveda tells about science, knowledge about all matters of universe. Yajurveda states about moral duties, pious deeds etc., and Samveda tells about worship of God, Ashtang yoga philosophy. Fourth Ved is Atharvaveda which justifies all the said knowledge and also tells about medical science. As regards Avtarwad,
Vedas totally negate the view. Vedas also tell that God never sends any Rishi-Muni, Tapasvi, preacher to preach spiritualism etc., to the public because God does not have any desire then how can God desire to send any preacher. If he will send preacher then he will have to preach the teacher about Vedas Himself. It means God will have to favour someone by selecting a particular person to give knowledge of Vedas to preach further. Then question arises that from where the desire originated in God when He is always desire less and second question arises that when He has
selected one person to preach to public then why could He not preach entire world when He has unlimited power. It is an eternal law that God always originates the knowledge of four Vedas at the time of creation to our Rishis at the beginning of the earth. Hence, it should be noted that God selects four Rishis who were the best learned/tapasvis in previous universe but could not get salvation due to which they had to take rebirth. So, giving of knowledge by God to four Rishis is not favourism because God gives them knowledge for which the four Rishis were entitled because in the previous universe, they were about to get salvation but final destruction took place and they met with death. So, the study of all four Vedas reveals that no proper name has been used in Vedas.
Vedas are eternal knowledge and unchangeable, unchallengeable. Rules and regulations of Vedas
therefore cannot be changed for ever. Also, ancient Rishi-Munis as well as present Rishis perform
Naamkarann sanskar (name ceremony) of child according to Vedas and they give holy name to child from Ved mantras. For example- Nowadays also the names like Brahmanand, Vishnudutt, Shiv Kumar, Mahesh, Aditya, Varunn, Sumedha, Arki, Archi, Richa, Manisha etc., which are the names taken from Vedas. It does not mean that Vedas contain the description of the said name-holder. Similarly, Ram, Krishna, Sita, Radha are the names which have been taken from Ved mantras but
it does not mean that such names in Vedas indicate anything about person. Names taken from Vedas have their own eternal divine meaning. For example- Sri Krishna’s name has been taken from Vedas by Garg Acharya along with Balram. Great Yajyen was organised and name ceremony according to Vedas was performed there.

Rajeev Bisaria: As per history we understtod that person who having daughter not getting Moksha after Death and place of women also not have good name in Vedas. Also people are praying for male child only and even now days people giving ashirwad putrvati bav. What it means it is true and why in Vedas we have trated women janam as result of bad karma?

Swami Ram Swarup: Mera aapko ashirwad sadaa sukhi rahein. Yaska Muni states in his Nirukta Granth that soul is always in masculine gender and when comes in womb then too remains in masculine gender. Thereafter only, according to human body, soul is called feminine or
masculine. But as far as original form of soul is concerned, he is always in masculine gender.

Recently, somebody has mentioned Atharvaveda mantra stating that the mantra encourages the birth of son, then I explained the whole mantra wherein there as nothing like such. Hence, to tarnish the eternal knowledge of Vedas such self-made false statements are being made prevalent actually most of the public is unknown from Vedas’ knowledge and accept false knowledge which is harmful and spreads ravages of hatred in public.

In Vedas there is no difference between boy and girl, because body is boy and girl, and not soul. Soul resides in body, therefore even animals, birds etc., are pitiable by human beings, because their bodies have the same soul. King Janak had two daughters only, Mata Sita and Urmila. He had no son. King Janak with his own qualities and the good qualities which he gave to his daughters is being remembered uptil now. On the other hand Bhisham Pitamaha, Bal brahamcharini Gargi (who was King Janak’s guru), Yagvalkya Muni (having two wives) – had no issue but due to their tapsya and good qualities, the said dignitaries are being remembered. Five Pandavs i.e., Yudhishtir, Bhim,
Arjuna, Nakul and Sahdev had five sons and their sons died in young age but Pandavs are still remembered due to their own good qualities for knowing truth from Vedas.

P: I want to marry a man who is younger to me by 6 months. Is it immoral and sinful as per Hindu Shastra/Vedas? I also heard that Lord Ram is younger than Sita Devi. Is it true?

Swami Ram Swarup: According to Vedas, the boy must be older then bride. Due to lack of knowledge of Vedas, the whole world is not aware of the fact, so keeping aside the old or young ages, the marriages are being performed. Sri Ram was not younger to mata Sita.

Kripa: Is Shrimad Bhagwatgeeta – Ek Vedic Rahasya – Pratham Bhag available in English?

Swami Ram Swarup: The process to print, description of six chapters of Bhagwad Geeta in English purely based on Ved mantras, is in progress. It may take next six months
please. As soon as the book is printed, same will sure be sent to your address. You may send your address, please.

Harish Arya: I am not finding any acharya here who follows the Vedas for that I want to make you my teacher. If you agree then I shall be thankful to you.

Swami Ram Swarup: I appreciate your pious desire. You are always welcome. However, you must once come to me here when time suits you.

Rocky: This time I want to ask, as you have mentioned before that after death soul reside in aakash or roam to vasus for thirteen days and then again take birth as its karmas. So can you please explain it. After death, first day where soul goes then whats sequence and what we should do in those 13 days and about this journey of 13 days, is it mentioned in Vedas anywhere?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, this all is mentioned in Yajurveda chapter 39, please. Sequence is as under. All thirteen days should be utilized to perform Yajyen.

Swarup Modak: I have given name of my daughter ‘Rushati’. Could you please arrange to inform me the meaning of the word “Rushati.”

Swami Ram Swarup: Rushati word is made of “Rush” dhatu (root word) in Sanskrit, the meaning of which is he who hurts others. It is a verb.

Amit Dua: I have 2 question about wearing sacred thread (Janeu): (1) What are the rules a person has to follow after wearing Janeu? (2) My age is going to be 29, can I take Janeu in this age?

Swami Ram Swarup: (1) Janeyu is also called Yajopaveat. It is worn generally, at the age between 6-8 years while performing upanayan or Vedarambh sanskar. However, everybody can wear it after performing Holy Yajyen from Ved mantras. In the Yajyen, a learned acharya (Brahma) must preside over it.

According to the true Vedic philosophy the custom to wear the Janeyu is eternal made by God. Janeyu has three threads which are indication of Raj, Tam and Satv gunas. There is a knot in the thread which indicates and reminds every time that we have taken oath to bind the said three gunas because the gunas have proud, anger, laziness, greediness and various sins.

After wearing janeyu, one must always be vegetarian, he must do daily havan with gayatri mantra. He must chant daily gayatri mantra and name jaap of holy name of God – OM sitting on siddhasan or Padmasan along with its meaning, daily. He should try to listen Vedas.

You may please contact local Arya Samaj on the subject or you may come here.

F: How to handle things when family doesn’t care for you?

Swami Ram Swarup: It is very unfortunate that mostly children are not taking care of parents in old age. It is a great sin but the sins or mistakes are oftenly done under misconception that they are doing pious deeds. It is due to lack of knowledge of Vedas. Mostly the people say that Ramayan teaches us to live in the family like Sri Ram, who showered his love on parents, brothers,
wife and even to whole public and always did justice to all but main point is oftenly over sighted that Sri Ram Mata Sita, King Dashrath, King Harishchandra, King Yudhishthir and their subjects also served their parents and family because they all studied and obeyed path of eternal knowledge of Vedas. Now for the last about 5,000 years, the knowledge of four Vedas is being ignored with the result our new generation too avoids the services towards gentle parents who served the children since childhood. I would like to say that you must do daily havan with gayatri mantra and must also chant gayatri mantra along with its meaning, both times. Also try to listen to Vedas in the nearest Arya Samaj mandir. This will give you peace and with the ashirwad of Almighty God, your son may be turned.

Yes, as your children have over sighted you, so you must oversight not your children but their bad
conduct because they have already done sins since they do not properly worship God according to Vedas, so God will sure punish them under His rules if they are at fault. So you must not curse your children who have already committed sins. Actually Vedas always preach to nurse the children without thinking result in return. Every good deed must be done selflessly. Then only the deeds will not be able to hurt anybody. Secondly, they are independent. Though it is their duty to look after you financially also, if they do not do so then you must not help them financially. If they are not independent and are still children then elders must forgive the fault of children and you must accompany children while going to Arya Samaj temple.

Bipin K. Badheka: As we know there are different types of “Dan” like Anna dan, Shram dan, Dhan dan etc. Please tell us among this which is more important and should be made by us. Suppose I want to make “Dan” without expecting any Fruit or return as mentioned in Bhagwat Geeta then in interest of other needy persons which “Dan” should be made on priority basis. Please guide me.

Swami Ram Swarup: As also written in Rigveda mantra 7/67/10 that Daan must be given to a learned acharya of Vedas in Yajyen. Secondly daan is given to the needy persons keeping in view the financial capacity of the donor. I have given a detail description of donation from Vedas
on this website. Please search the same.

Deepali: How to protect a pregnant woman during chandra grahan? What a pregnant woman do during this period?

Swami Ram Swarup: Chandra grahan (Lunar eclipse) has no concern with pregnancy, please. However, the lady must avoid to see the moon directly with eyes.

ARS I am always under pressure of work and also about my family. If I am free I think that today I wont think and will keep my mind idle but within few seconds, something or the other thoughts come to my mind I just try to avoid but I could not control my thoughts which harms me. What should I do and How to get rid of such things?

Swami Ram Swarup: If you are doing overtime, that may be avoided please. Because it is the duty of husband being head of family to also give time to the family, especially in young age. Secondly, you must do daily havan with gayatri mantra along with your family. It will take only 10-15 minutes and this pious job will minimise your tension, exertion etc. If you can do asan, prannayam daily then you will again get mental as well as physical power which will further enable
you to discharge your duties and take decision with in no time and you will never feel exertion etc., then coming baseless thoughts will be over.

Sanket: What is the jeevan chatritra of Kapil Muni?

Swami Ram Swarup: Kapil Muni was a great philosopher of Vedas as well as Ashtang Yoga philosophy. He wrote world famous “SANKHYA SHASTRA” especially based on Prakriti
matters. Rest information is not known, please.

Kavitha Bandi: You said that soul after 13 days wandering it will again rebirth according sins and pious performed by him/her. Sir the question which always moves in my mind is y v r borned….in this world. If God is there then why he created us and what he wants to prove by creating us in this world? As this world is of all sins, bad everywhere, and many other things, which will make my mind upset. If God is really there means on what basis he would have created us in first birth. Please explain.

Swami Ram Swarup: Creation, nursing and final destruction including death and birth etc., is eternal process. Shwetashwropnishad shloka 6/8 states that Supreme knowledge, deeds and power of Almighty God are eternal and natural (automatic).

However, suppose soul does not take birth then what will happen? The form of soul is also
eternal and immortal. So soul never meets with death. It is only living being’s body which after leaving the soul, becomes dead and is cremated. So at this juncture the soul does not take living being’s body. Then it will remain unconsciously in the space. The soul will ever then remain in unconscious (coma-like) condition. Now, suppose a person remains in coma, it means he is not able to do anything and even will not be liked by anybody. So will be the case of soul who will be in a position like in coma and will be of no use. The self-made story which I have told above is actually not applicable for the soul because the creation is eternal and automatic.

God has no desire of creation etc., please. He is devoid of desires. As I have told above, the creation is eternal and automatic, however the creator is God. Automatically at an appropriate time, the minutest divine power of God acts in non-alive prakriti and creation starts. So one should be cleared
that God even does not create the universe. He is mere efficient cause (in Hindi Nimit Karann) . and the prakriti is eminent cause (in Hindi Upadaan karann). So, actually the God is Nimit-Upadan Karann of creation.

In reality, the soul does not always remain in Sushupt (coma) stage but by doing pious deeds according to Vedas, soul experiences most divine merriment after attaining salvation following the path of Vedas. So, God bestows mercy on public and has blessed us with human body and eternal knowledge of Vedas to attain salvation.

So we are free to do good or bad deeds but result is awarded by God according to previous lives’ deeds. So souls take birth at his own, if the soul does purely pious deeds according to four Vedas why will he get rebirth? That is soul will not take birth.

So creation is eternal and if could not be then we would have been like an idle stone thrown in
dense jungle.

Yes, there is chance only in human life to make birth pious, extraordinary and long, happy and
healthy by following Vedas. As regards mistakes, Vedas state about previous life and present lives’ deeds. It is bad luck of human being if they do not listen Vedas to know the mistake of previous human-lives. Our present birth is based on deeds of previous lives. Present and future happiness as well as birth also depends on present pious deeds based on Vedas.

So present life is golden chance to avoid sins in present life and to kill all the oceans of sins and other deeds which is called “Sanchit” karma of previous lives.

So it is our minds’ thought which forces us to blame the God to say that He has created drama which is, if you do not mind, please, a sin.

Amit Kumar: I will like to invite you to give pravachan at a large mela of a communityin April.

Swami Ram Swarup: Money is not a matter in spiritualism, please. You will have only to suggest the place where Vedic pravachan is to be delivered. As stated in Samveda, gathering to listen vedic pravachan is also not a problem, as the mantra states, when an aspirant is blessed by God, based on his previous and pious deeds, then he is directed to go to the pious place where learned person of Vedas preaches . However, time is a problem for me because in the starting of second last week of April, two months regular Yajyen from Ved mantras and yoga shivir commences here which ends in second week of June.

So you are advised to talk about arrangement to deliever Vedic pravachan/Yajyen in the mela, on my behalf, please.

So you can also arrange the pravachan with ved mantra/ holy Yajyen from ved mantras at your home also. My representative will also help you to donating money in Yajyen for its arrangement. My representative to accompany you to talk about Yajyen in mela will be provided first only after you have talked to mela authorities alone.

Even you along with your friends are also invited to attend the said Yag between the stated period. Here boarding and lodging are always free, please.
