Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Thanking you for your kind consideration about my health. The case is tedious, please. You are advised to get medical treatment from some good hospital having services of experienced ENT doctor. If you do practice of paschimauttan asan daily both times, then it will give very good result.

Vinod: Guruji, what is the meaning of chintan and manan? And how one should do it ? Please explain in detail.
Swami Ram Swarup: Chintan and manan is one and the same thing. When we study a ved mantra then its shabdarth (i.e., words and meanings) are first known. Thereafter, by deep discussion with learned acharya, we try to know the idea of the mantra through discussion and questions-answers. For example- Rigveda Mantra 1/1/1 states “Agnim Eeday…………” Now, in the worldly context, meaning of agni is fire and Eedey means desire. When we will do chintan-manan i.e., when we will do deep thinking and discussion with acharya then we will find that here Agni means Almighty God and Eeday means desire, worship etc. So, without chintan-manan i.e., thought, deep thinking; real idea of the mantra cannot be known.

prasad: Namaskar swamiji. Do you believe in Garud Purann?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please, I do not believe in any purann because several of its chapters do not tally with the Vedas’ knowledge and hence the learned persons have declared it unauthentic.

P: Not getting married and looking for a job.
Swami Ram Swarup: Your parents must seek a good match for you at their level best. Whole family must also do havan daily with Gayatri mantra at least so that God may give His blessings to fulfil your pious desires.

As you know, my dear, this all is always in the hands of Almighty God Parmatma. But God helps those who help themselves. So, I am sure that you‘ve been doing hard work to seek the job. I pray to God to fulfill your desire soon. Also, please chant Gayatri mantra daily and do hawan with Gayatri mantra daily both times. In the end of hawan, please pray to God to fulfill your desires. I hope God will sure listen to you.

Deepika Singhal: When and why Sri Ramji sacrifice Mata Sita?
Swami Ram Swarup: Rishi Valmikiji has been contemporary to Sri Ramji. He was a great muni and mantra Drishta Rishi too. He listened to the divine characters of Sri Ram and on the inspiration of Brahmaji, he wrote Valmiki Ramayan which has been considered authentic by the learned acharyas. I mean to say, in Valmiki Ramayan, true picture has been given that when Mata Sita proceeded towards the pyre, Sri Ram did not allow her to get herself burnt and caught her by the hand. Sri Ram told Sita that he knew she was pious but he wanted to tell the truth to all other people like Sugreev, Hanuman, Laxman, Vibheesham and others by creating the scene of pyre and asking her to get herself burnt in that. So, how an ideal personality like Sri Ram could sacrifice Mata Sita to get herself burnt in the pyre.
