Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, please souls are unlimited in number but have unchangeable same qualities. The natural qualities of all souls are:
(1) have desires
(2) show attachment which is called “PARISHWANGDHARMI” in Vedas . So, a soul has to be attached with either good or bad society. Therefore we must try to attach ourselves to good society of Vedas.
(3) strength, valour, attraction, inspiration , movement, action, enthusiasm, memory, firm decision, sentiment of horror, love , hatred , alliance, judgement, separation , sense of hearing, touch, sight, taste, smelling and knowledge.
Now, Rigveda Mantra 10/135/1, 2 ,3 state that God blesses the soul with human body to face the result of previous lives’ deeds and present lives’ deeds will be faced in next birth.
Rigveda mandal 10 sukta 51 states that if in human life we do not gain the Vedic knowledge and do not worship God sincerely, while discharging all our moral duties then based on such sins, God gives us next birth wherein we get animal/bird’s bodies. So soul, will remain same but body will change based on deeds. Still the soul will contain above quoted natural qualities.
Yes, soul which is present within our body now has taken previously several unlimited uncounted bodies of animals, birds, men, women etc., and have faced several unlimited sorrows. That is why Vedas state that this is the time to get salvation by worshipping God based on preach of Vedas.
Yes, the soul type in plants is the same soul type as animals and humans. But to kill the plants is not a sin, if we take from plants , the food to live upon like crops, fruits, etc.
Why? Because God has given His order in Vedas to take vegetables. So, to obey the order of God is not a sin. Whereas God has clearly given the order in four Vedas to not to take non-vegetarian, addiction, kill any person ,animal, etc.

The book is based completely on Vedas wherein I have explained in detail regarding Vedic law to not to kill animal, etc.
R S: Revered Guru ji, Pranaam, Wish you and all ashram waasi’s happy new year. Guru ji i wish to come and meet you in April 2009. However my son is very mischievous, this is the only problem which restricts me from meeting you. Both me and my spouse would like your spiritual guidance and deeksha from you. My yoga practice is in ninth year. By the grace of God and knowledge Given by you I have understood and grasped many things. I now feel to follow dedicatedly the path to self realisation. Please guide me the sequence I follow is asana pranayam, dhyana (I have not progresses into it much) however in dharana, I have developed great faith in Vedas/mantras, yogis and siddha purusha. Please guide me how to progress further. Further how much time I should do pranayam, then dhyan. When can we learn higher yogic practices from you.
Further I have been to Kerala. There i have found lot of illusion, priests in temple just do puja of yogis, do not talk of Vedas and correct form of worship. Pujaris are arrogant and haughty. Can you do something for this land?
