Gautam Kaundinya: Guruji, the western culture has been greatly increased in the country. How to overcome this problem? Is this thing going to be the source of the end of this kaliyuga?

Gautam Kaundinya: Guruji, the western culture has been greatly increased in the country. How to overcome this problem? Is this thing going to be the source of the end of this kaliyuga?
Swami Ram Swarup: In my view, the problem has since long turned into cancer and has thus become fatal. Yet, we must try our level best to educate the new generation otherwise Indian culture is now drifting in darkness. Our countrymen (senior citizens) are worried but it is our bad luck that our leaders are not paying their attention in this matter. Education system requires to be transformed which can only be done by leaders. I will try always at my level best to teach the present generation and public-Vedic knowledge which is our eternal culture. Every saint and public should also try to learn about Vedic culture and strive to become a true Indian. Kaliyug has no connection with culture. Kaliyug is calculation of time period and comprises of four lakh thirty two thousand years.

Sachin: Who are Panchkanyas, and which scripture has talked about them?
<b?>Swami Ram Swarup: Sorry, I do not know about panch-kanya as their description has not been given in Vedas and in ancient holy books written by Rishis.

Harish Singh: I would like to get mangal grah jaap done. How will I know that you have undertook the jaap and have completed it?
Swami Ram Swarup: Sorry, please. The mangal grah jaap has not been mentioned in Vedas and I have never done it.

Z S: When will I get married?
Swami Ram Swarup: Marriage is arranged by parents at an appropriate time. Secondly, God helps those who help themselves. So when your parents, with the blessings of God, would try to seek a match for you, God would sure help them.

K. V.: Seeking a match with a girl who believes in Vedas and Vedic way of life.
Swami Ram Swarup: Yes, please. If you would try to contact local Arya Samaj mandir then they sure would help you.

Rekha Nautiyal: Swami ji Pranam & Happy New Year! Is it good to see a departed person in dreams?
Swami Ram Swarup: My heartiest blessings to you, my daughter for a long, happy life. Wishing you a happy new year as well. To see a departed person in dreams is not good. However, it is also not a matter to fear. You must do daily havan with Gayatri mantra and must also sit with closed eyes daily to chant Gayatri mantra with its meaning in mind and not orally. Everything will be O.K, then.

S G: Electric Hawan Kund, with no need of wood, ghee, camphor, etc.
Swami Ram Swarup: My daughter, S G. My blessings to you. Actually we must not change the eternal philosophy of performing havan in a bedi or havan kund. The full process starts from chanting sandhya mantras, then aachman and then igniting fire in bedi or havan kund using camphor or cotton dipped in ghee. Then three wooden sticks are offered in the burning fire one by one, by chanting Ved mantras. Then five aahutis of ghee, chanting Ved mantra five times, are offered in pious fire of bedi or havan kund. Thereafter, other aahutis by chanting Ved-mantras are offered. In the end, poornnahuti, comprising of three separate aahutis, with Ved-mantras, is offered. So the above quoted tradition can’t be changed, please. This being the eternal worship of God as well. The said eternal process is mentioned in Vedas, the laws of which are unchangeable, please.

Vikrant: Birth chart indicates place of Vishnu..
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Birth chart of native etc., have not been mentioned in Vedas, so a learned person doesnot accept such tradition please. Earth is given by God and when a person earns, he makes his house to live in comfortably, which is a pious deeds. As regards Vishnu, avtar etc., my article is appended below:
“VISHNUHU (omnipresent God) PARMAM (the supreme) PADAM (stage) SADA (always) PASHYANTI (see) SURYOHO (yogi)”.
Meaning: The Yogi who studies Vedas and does hard practice of ashtang Yoga Philosophy and as a result attain Dharm megh Samadhi, he only sees i.e., realises God.
Vishnu means –Omnipresent God. There are unlimited qualities of God and accordingly there are unlimited names of formless, God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe.
For example- Vishnu is the name of Almighty God containing the quality of being omnipresent. Brahm/Brahmaa is also the name of formless God containing the quality of being supreme i.e., there is no one even equivalent to God.

Mahesh is the name of formless God who contains the quality of being supreme, the creator.

Om: is the name of God containing the unlimited qualities, one of which is He is the saviour of entire universe and so on.
Therefore God is one but His names are unlimited as stated above.

In Rigveda mantra 1/22/18, it is stated “VISHNNUHU TRINNI PADANI VICHAKRAME” i.e., (VISHNNU) God who is omnipresent (TRINNI) three (PADANI) matters or behaviour i.e., three types of matters or behaviour – first, which are known, second — to be known and third — which are achievable. (VICHAKRAME) holds.
Idea is that God creates the universe and in the universe, He creates several matters for the benefit of human-beings. Human-beings must know the matters and get the same for beneficial use. I mean to say that there may not be such three footsteps of Almighty God. There are unlimited names of God based on His divine unlimited qualities as is also stated in Rigveda mantra 1/164/46.

In the above Rigveda mantra, His name is quoted ‘Vishnu’. The meaning of pious word “VISHNU” is Vishlari Vyaptau Vishnu i.e., omnipresent. You know, omnipresent means, there is not even a minutest place in the universe where God does not reside. That is why, He is omnipresent. Secondly, the God is formless. Then from where the three footsteps came when God is omnipresent. He being formless, God doesnot have any foot etc. We will have to follow the path of eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from God and must not follow the self-created path of human-beings.

Avtar
God is only one who creates the universe and no other can create the universe except God. Please think deeply is any one except God empowered for creation, etc.? The pious qualities of God are unlimited whereas qualities of soul, which resides in human body, are limited. That is why He is God. This fact is also mentioned by Rishi Patanjali in his Yog shastra sutra 1/24, “KALEASHKARAMVIPAKASHYAIHI APRAMRISHTAHA PURUSHVISHESHAHA ISHWARAHA” i.e., He who is not indulged in any sorrows/sufferings (kalesh), in any kind of deed (karma) and result thereof (vipakya), He is supreme in souls and is called Ishwar (God), whereas, soul is indulged in all the said matters according to deeds done in previous, and in the present life. So this is also a difference between God and souls and therefore soul can never be God based on the different qualities.

Amongst unlimited qualities of God, few may be enumerated-that God creates, nurses and destroys the universe. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent and Almighty, beyond description, beyond imagination, and beyond calculation. Nobody on the earth can deny such qualities, but these qualities are to be discussed and considered deeply and he who does the same is called MUNI as per Vedas and shastras.

Let us think over one quality of God – Being Almighty. Almighty means God has all powers and thus God, to control the universe and to do any kind of deed for the same, can not be dependent on another, at any cost, being Almighty. Again shastras say, which is a true saying too, that there must be reason behind for any creation, matter etc. God is a reason to create the universe. Parents are the reason to give birth to a child. Ravana took Sita forcefully which became a reason for war between Shri Ram and Ravana etc. So as per Vedas there must be a reason of avtar and after studying eternal knowledge of Vedas and thinking deeply, there seems no reason to take avtar by Almighty God. As in Yajurveda mantra 2/26, so is in Shwetashwaropnishad shlok 6/8 wherein it is mentioned that there is no reason to form a God and thus God is also formless i.e., nobody can make God but God creates universe from non-alive prakriti. Secondly the said Upnishad says that the
deeds of God of creation, nursing, and destruction of universe are eternal, natural, and automatic. So naturally God needs no avtar to destroy Kalyug, earth, or devils etc., being Almighty i.e., God has all powers and is independent. Not God but only His powers are enough to control, create, nurse, destroy the universe. That is why Upnishad says that God has no desire to create etc., but it is eternal and natural and this sort of desire is named “IKSHAN” and not desire to create etc.

Suppose God has to kill a devil and He takes avtar and God kills the devils by arrow etc. It means God is not Almighty and independent because God has taken help of Avtar (Human body) and arrow, gun, etc., which is impossible.

This all I have told based on fundamental law of eternal knowledge of four Vedas. Yet if anybody says about avtar then it is their own views and they are satisfied with their views and cannot be commented because they could have been realizing at their own but so far as eternal knowledge of Vedas is concerned, Avtar is not possible.

Chetan Singh: Mere yeh saal kaisa hoga. Kya upaye hai ki yeh accha ho.
Swami Ram Swarup: Hum sab yahaan apne pichchley janam ke achchey ya burey karmon ka such-dukh ke roop mein bhog bhogne aayein hain. Achcha ya bura saal nahin hota, apitu achcha ya bura karma hota hai aur weh kabhi bhi bhogna pad jata hai. Aap Rozana Gayatri mantra ka jaap kiya karein aur issey havan bhi karein. Aapke kashton ka Bhagwan zaroor nash karega.

Jayshree: I’m trying to read through the answers and questions, and started to think, why is knowing and praying to God so complicated? With so many prayers, timings of when they are said, different prayers to different dieties, different prayers according to occasion, I feel overwhelmed. I don’t think this is how we were meant to know God. Please help me understand.
Swami Ram Swarup: Earning or to get higher education or to become an extraordinary sportsperson or scientist etc., is not an easy task. You see, if a person gets progress in the said field, he earns a lot. But permanent peace is lost if he is not a real worshipper of Almighty God simultaneously. So, how the path of worship can be considered easy when it gives permanent peace along with health, wealth and long, happy life. In the absence of real worship of God, everything goes in vain. So, please never think that worship is difficult and nobody should do worship, it shall be a sin as well, since human body has been blessed by God only for worship but worship can’t be continued in the absence of food, shelter, clothing, basic amenities including health. Hence, both are required- education including earning as well as spiritualism. Hence, progress in both paths is required simultaneously.
However, nowadays most of the people have forgotten the eternal knowledge of Vedas. Vedas tell only one path to worship God i.e., worship of only one formless, Almighty , omnipresent God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. Naturally, when people would not know about the eternal philosophy of Vedas, they would make their own path of worship and hence the problem arises regarding emergence of several paths of worship of God. It is pertinent to mention here that in the ancient times, i.e., Satyug, Treta and dwapur only vedas’ knowledge was adopted because uptil Mahabhart time, present sects did not exist. Vedas are not a sect and are universally applicable to all.
If you are really an aspirant and want to know the eternal philosophy of Vedas wherein worship of one God has been preached then please try to read first of all the following two or three books to enter into the knowledge of Vedas:
(1) Vedic pravachan sangrah (I) in hindi worth Rs. 51/-
(2) Yoga- A divine vedas’ philosophy (in English) worth Rs. 65/-
(3) Vedanta- Eternal philosophy of Vedas (I and II) worth Rs. 20 and Rs. 20.
Books will be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you so desire.

I also paste one of my articles on Vedas philosophy for your information please.

Vedas’ Philosophy

God has made universe and blessed us human body to do pious deeds only. He has not made any heaven or hell. All have to face the result of their deeds, good or bad here only, even by taking rebirth. (Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2)

God has not only made universe but has also given knowledge of four Vedas where answers to your and everyone’s questions have been given. There are four Vedas:
1. Rig Veda – gives knowledge of science, matter of the universe like sun, moon, air body etc., etc.
2. Yajurveda – gives knowledge of all the deeds and duties to be performed by men or women, students, leaders, king, agriculturist etc., etc., etc.
3 Samveda – gives knowledge how to worship God who gives peace and long happy life etc. In this way, details of Yoga philosophy, qualities, supreme deeds and nature of the God are also given.
4 Atharvaveda – gives details of God, medical science and details of medicine etc.

Actually in four Vedas there is unlimited knowledge. Yajurveda mantra 40/8 says that God is everywhere, is Almighty, formless, devoid of nervous system, purest, away from sins and away to face any result of any karmas (deeds), knows every soul, knows what is in everyone’s mind, no body has made God, but God creates universe, has given the eternal knowledge of four Vedas and always gives the said knowledge at the beginning of every universe to know the science and deeds to all concern. Similarly four Vedas say about God that God is an omnipresent, omniscient, formless, beyond imagination and beyond calculation. Actually God has unlimited qualities. There is only one God who creates, nurses, destroys the universe and again creates. Atharvaveda mantra 4/1/1 also says that God gives the knowledge of Vedas at the beginning of the earth to four Rishis of unsexual creation. And thereafter only public listens Vedas through Rishis Munis as yet and become learned. Rig-Veda gives knowledge of Almighty, Yajurveda gives knowledge of karmas (deeds), Samveda tells about worship-Yoga philosophy and Atharvaveda about medicines and God. Actually all Vedas commonly says about God also, so this is about Vedas in short. But the knowledge of Vedas is endless.

It is a fundamental law that knowledge is always given by somebody otherwise knowledge can’t be gained at any cost. If a new born baby is nursed well in a dense jungle and is not educated then he will not be able to gain any knowledge. So we have to think about the origin of the knowledge prevalent in the world today. In this connection all Vedas themselves say that God gives this knowledge to four Rishis. As has also been said by Rishi Patanjali in yoga shastra sutra 1/26, God is first Guru of the four Rishis.
Yajurveda mantra 31/7 also refers. This is all in short about Vedas.

The Vedas are not a book, rather it is a knowledge originated in the heart of Rishis. At the time of beginning of the earth those Rishis preached Vedas by mouth and all others remembered the same by mouth at that time there was no pen, pencil, paper, etc. This process of studying Vedas by mouth remained till Mahabharata time. Muni Vyas too remembered Vedas traditionally by mouth. Then Muni Vyas first time wrote the Vedas on Bhoj patra about 5300 years ago. In 16th century when printing press came into existence then the Vedas were printed. Still Vedas are not those which have been printed but Vedas are those which are preached by mouth by an Acharya/yogi and the printed Vedas are called Sanhita.

Now if somebody worships a statue etc., i.e., its their own creation please but Vedas deny. According to Vedas the best worship of the God is Yajyen (Yajna) for which all Vedas are self-proof. Yajurveda mantra 31/16 says that the learned persons worship God by Yajyen.

So many people have asked me that most of the scholars/preachers of different religion state that their religion incorporates all matters of the world including science. What about Vedas? I wrote so many Ved Mantras describing science matters therein. For example, Yajurvaveda Mantra 3/6 states “Ayam Gauhu Swaha Pitram Puraha Prayan Mataram Prishnihi Aakrameet Asadat”.

Meaning: This earth revolves around the Sun in the space and it also rotates on its own axis. Vedas are eternal like God because Vedas emanate from God. Now, according to Vedas, this present creation is about 1 Arab, 96 crores, 8 lakh and about 53,000 years old. So are the Vedas but as said in Rigveda Mantra 10/191/3 the present creation is same as was the previous one and this process of creation is eternal. So are the Vedas which emanate from eternal God. This all concludes that Vedas are the oldest in this creation also and no other book of science, maths or pertaining to spiritualism is written before Vedas.

Like the above example of rotation and revolution of earth, the significance of whole present science is mentioned in Vedas. We can see that whatever is happening in the universe, is all according to the Vedas. For example, occurance of six seasons, actions of Sun, moon, process of death, birth, worship, yoga philosophy, atomic energy, agriculture, animal husbandry, knowledge of politics, administration, architecture, solar energy, knowledge of home appliances like mixer, grinder, business rules, about men, women, children, marriage, Brahamcharya, education, clothes etc., etc., i.e., knowledge right from a straw to Brahma is all in Vedas. God is Almighty and has unlimited powers. So through His power He is able to originate the knowledge of Vedas in the heart of four Rishis without pencil, paper, help of mouth or any other worldly assistance.

We, i.e., the whole world depends on Almighty God but God is forever independent. That is why, He is God. We are the souls who reside in human bodies. We need assistance of senses, perceptions, mind and body to do deeds but not God.

Nowadays, so many saints are writing books. What is the background to right their books? Background is clear that they have first studied or listened the preach from their Gurus, keeping aside the matter of truth or falsehood. And after studying or listening the same, they became able to write the books. So this is also fundamental law, based on which, the ancient Rishis first listened Vedas and when they became learned then only they wrote the Vedic books like Valmikee Ramayana, six shastras, Mahabharata (Bhagwad Geeta), Upanishads, etc., etc. So, first the knowledge of Vedas is initiated in the universe and afterwards other books come into existence.

Somebody may say that human beings have knowledge by their nature to create anything like books etc., but we see that the newly born baby who is nursed in a jungle, in the absence of knowledge of a learned person, he becomes incapable to do anything. Thus, he can’t be M.A, M.Sc, doctor etc. So there are two types of the words and meanings. First, eternal which are from Almighty God and second, natural made by human beings. Eternal word meanings are always from Vedas i.e., from God. After listening/studying Vedas, human-beings become learned and then too based on their own natural knowledge, they make their own words and meanings, literature etc. But it is very much clear that in the absence of knowledge of Vedas, no one can become learned. Nowadays, also people live in dense jungle and do not lead a civilized life because they are not learned as cited above. Vedas are not sects because they emanate direct from God and God is one for all
human beings. God creates sun, moon, air, water, food etc., which are meant for the best use of all human-beings for their long, happy life. So are the Vedas.

So all human beings must accept Vedas as an eternal knowledge from God, for the benefit of whole creation.

Abbie Murphy: What is Sainthood?
Swami Ram Swarup: In our country, people have forgotten the eternal path of Vedas, the knowledge of which emanates direct from God at the time of every creation. In the ancient times, i.e., Satyug, Treta and Dwapur, only Vedas’ knowledge was adopted because uptil mahabhrat time, the present sects did not exist. When people started forgetting the knowledge of Vedas then naturally self-made paths of worship were created and hence the origin of sainthood. In the ancient times, there was Vedic knowledge and philosopher of Vedas and yoga philosophy were called Rishi-Munis, tapasvis, Yogis etc. Vedas are not a sect and are universally applicable to all human-beings.

Anshul: 1. You said that real knowledge can only be learned from a guru. How and where will I get a true guru from whom I can learn?
2. I beleive that there can be only one God, rest all whom we pray in temples are higher souls called demigods or dev. What is the truth about devas?
3. We beleive that Ram or Krishna is the god coz in gita krishna declared himself the God and showed his divine form to the arjun..guruji your views..
Swami Ram Swarup: (1) every aspirant himself seeks his true guru for which effect of previous lives’ pious deeds is also necessary. Otherwise, contact with a good society where worship of God is done under guidance of a guru. True guru has the knowledge of four Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy. In this connection, I paste the following articles of mine for your guidance.

About Gurus
There is only one God who creates universe, nurses and destroys and again creates. Yajurveda mantra 31/7 and several other Ved mantras say that God has preached His worship in Vedas. But now a day’s most of the worships are against Vedas, as also said by Tulsidasji in his Ramayana couplet 99 (b). In the ancient times up to Mahabharat period too there were only Vedas to be adopted and worship in the form of prayer, Yajna and Ashtang yoga etc., was being practised. The ancient Rishis Munis used to give Vedas knowledge only. They lived in Gurukul in a very simple life holding unlimited knowledge of Vedas and yoga philosophy and by their Tapsya they used to give equal blessings to the world.

These Rishis Munis used to sit on one platform with whole hearted happiness. For example in Valmiki Ramayana when Rishi Vishwamitr went to King Dashrath to take Shri Ram to kill the demons to protect his holy Yajna. Then Dashrath immediately refused but Dashrath’s Guru Vashisth Muni interrupted, explained and gave order to king Dashrath to give Shri Ram to Rishi Vishwamitr. I am not giving the detailed story here. So what was the reason behind? The reason behind was only this, that Rishi Vishwamitr as well as Guru Vashisth both were philosophers of Vedas, Yajna and Yoga philosophy. So there was no friction within their hearts. A mother and father both, without any friction, love their newly born baby. So when all Rishis loved only one Almighty God, from whom Vedas are originated and again the Rishis loved Vedas, so no question of friction. The Rishis used to bless all people and even kings with the result everybody was happy at that time and everybody
was rich with the blessings. Now it is reverse.

The so-called Gurus are rich and most of the people are poor. In Hinduism too there are so many Devtas and thus the different types of worship. Now whatever one Guru says another one criticizes because ways are different and in reality the religion has been made profession by most of the so-called Gurus at present. When target is not true and good then how the above story of donating Shri Ram can be repeated and how all Gurus can sit on one platform. When the target is profession and not services of people through Vedas then it is impossible that so called Gurus can sit on one platform. The so-called Gurus can say at their own that their target is one but on ground it seems not to be a true. All the so-called Gurus have made their own several ashrams to command etc.

God has made universe and blessed us human body to do pious deeds only. He has not made any heaven or hell. All have to face the result of their deeds good or bad here only, even by taking rebirth. God has not only made universe but has also given knowledge of four Vedas.

There are four Vedas:
1. Rig Veda gives knowledge of science, matters of the universe like sun, moon, air body etc., etc.

2. Yajurveda gives knowledge of all the deeds and duties to be performed by men or women, students, leaders, king, agriculturist etc., etc., etc.

3. Samveda gives knowledge how to worship God, who gives peace and long happy life etc. In this Ved, details of Yoga philosophy, qualities, Supreme deeds and nature of the God are also given.

4. Atharvaveda gives details of God, medical science and details of medicine, etc.

Actually in four Vedas there is unlimited knowledge. In his holy book Shatpath Brahmin Granth, Muni Yaskacharya has quoted that there was Kashyap Rishi who studied Vedas deeply. In Vedas there is a rule that men or women can extend their lives up to 400 years and not more. In this connection Yajurveda mantra 3/62 refers. So when Kashyap Rishi became of hundred years he prayed to God that he is busy in study of Vedas therefore his age may be extended up to two hundred years. But reaching on two hundred years he again requested to extend further hundred years because the Rishi had been experiencing unlimited peace and merriment while studying Vedas and going the deepest in every mantra. And O! When he reached at the age of three hundred years he prayed God that he (Rishi) is leaving body because the knowledge of the Vedas are eternal and unlimited. So such true examples of several ancient Rishis are there in our ancient holy books about immortal Vedas, which have been now overlooked due to false talks of arrogant of nowadays who have made business of religion. So swamis are those, who are not against eternal philosophy of Vedas and yoga given by God. And the swamis, who speak truth based on Vedas, do yoga practice, have control on their five senses and mind, always do pious deeds according to Vedas about well being of human beings etc., and such types of swamis never predict about any life. But give direct knowledge of four Vedas and yoga saying that do pious deeds, services to parents and old, daily worship, hard working towards a right path, listening of Vedas’ preach and discharging moral duties faithfully towards family and nation etc., make future bright and luck is in our own hands.

According to eternal knowledge of Vedas, the definition of a true Guru is not such which is being spread by the false saints, who are against the Vedas and yoga philosophy. One thing is clear that this universe has been created by God, He nurses and destroyes and again creates. So the rules and regulation will have to be accepted of God’s preach in Vedas and
not of man or woman. I think on this basis only, Tulsidasji has also stated in Doha 99 (b) of Uttrakand that in kaliyug men and women are not worshipping God in accordance with the Vedas’ true path but arrogant have made the path at their own accord i.e., self made. And hence the problem, because such type of religion has become profession too and no
Guru or whatsoever would like to sit on one platform being against the Vedas such Gurus are saying and establishing falsely that they are serving the people but actually they are serving their family and themselves.

When I was doing practice of hard Ashtang Yoga in a dense cave with my Guru ji then an incident occurred. By some reason I was asked by My Guru ji to go to a Baba in the jungle to give him Bhiksha. When first day
I went there the young Baba met me with gun. I put question to the Baba with respect that why he is having gun being a sanyasi. He answered that there are five or six guava trees on which some monkeys come. So this gun is meant for establishing fear and to drive away the monkeys. I returned and told the story to my respected Guru ji. My Guru ji answered that whole of the day the Baba guards the trees and when thus he would have been sitting for meditation or remembering the holy name of God then it is sure that in his meditation the picture of monkeys would coming. I have quoted this fact in full (here not in full) to my spiritual books stating that this is a matter of some guava trees which disturbs the concentration then what to talk about those who have so many ashrams, duly built all over the country, even outside also.

The spiritualism nowadays has been a business and it is no more a matter of God or services to the public. Nowadays there is flood of Gurus who are against the Vedas and this is a danger to the mankind, nation and world. This is clearly seen that the house has been burnt with its own burning lamp. There is no any excuse from the God about any sin in the Vedas whereas self made path says like this. However, the Yagya with Ved mantras purifies the mind and practice of yoga philosophy burns all the previous sins. And this is only possible when an aspirant, while in family life listens Vedas like Shri Ram, Mata Sita and previous ancient public, does Yagya, learns yoga philosophy and practises thereof under the guidance of a Guru who knows Vedas and yoga philosophy. This is method of eternal prayer.

One should pray God with a request that he must be attached with the eternal worship of God preached in Vedas to get the purest mind because the purest mind can only do the pious deeds and eternal worship. This prayer is according to Yajurveda mantra 32/14 and Gaytri mantra. One can recite these two mantras also. But to our bad luck, most of the present Gurus, who are against Vedas say that they are true Gurus and everybody must accept them because Shri Ram and Shri Krishna also did accept Guru. But the ignorant people are not capable to understand this poisonous and false talk due to lack of knowledge of Vedas and Valmiki Ramayana. Because Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, king Dashrath, Harishchandra and several such dignitaries and their public of ancient time did accept the Rishis, Munis who knew Vedas and did hard practice of ashtang yoga. For example Shri Ram’s Guru was Vashisth Muni and Munis are those who have studied and consulted Vedas in deep and did
yoga practice and so was the great Muni Vashisth. Shri Krishna’s Guru was Rishi Sandeepan.

Rishi in Vedas is, he who is mantradrishta i.e., after studying and hard practice of ashtang yoga he has realized God and has seen the Ved mantras in his heart and not in books. Both Rishis and Munis/yogis always preach based on Vedas. So, public as well as the Govt., must know about the eternal philosophy of Vedas and must ban the present saints or sadhus who are against the Vedas, spread false stories and cheat the public. These saints must not encash the name of pious Guru Vashisth and Sandeepan and others by saying that Shri Krishna and Shri Ram did Guru so everybody must accept these so called Gurus. Why don’t they say truth that they are illiterate being away from the Vedas. Guru Vashisth and Rishi Sandeepan and other ancient Rishis were literate having knowledge of four Vedas and yoga philosophy. And there is no other comparison between those ancient Rishis, Munis/Yogis and present so-called Gurus.

In Atharvaveda mantra 4/1/1 and 10/10/28 say that the Vedas emanate from God. Yoga shastra sutra1/7 wants proof of the truth. Vedas are self-proof because in 31 chapter of Yajurveda and mandal 10 of Rigveda it has been clarified that the knowledge of Vedas is given at the beginning of creation in unsexual creation. Shastra, Upnishad, Geeta and Ramayana have been written by Rishi Munis within five to six thousand years whereas Vedas are eternal and in this creation Vedas originated in the heart of four Rishis cited above about one Arab 96 crore 8 lakh 53 thousands years ago. Now the fundamental is this that until the knowledge is given by anybody, knowledge can not be gained. So who was the first Guru at the beginning of the earth when unsexual creation was there?

Yoga shastra sutra 1/26 says, “SA ESHAH POORVESHAM API GURUHU KALENANVACHEDAT” in this sutra Rishi Patanjali says Sa Eshah= He i.e., God (because this sutra is connected with previous one), Poorvesham
Api Guruhu= is Guru of the four ancient Rishis because God is away from Kalean i.e., death. It means in the said creation there was no Guru alive. So the God gave the knowledge of Vedas to the said four Rishis. After lapse of more than one arab 96 crore and 8 lakhs years i.e., upto Mahahbharat period there were no shastras, Upnishads etc., and same were written by Rishis based on the knowledge of Four Vedas and this fact has clearly been mentioned by the Rishis in their shastras and Upnishads and Geeta etc. Geeta shlok 3/15 refers. And nobody asked any proof about the origin of Vedas because they (king and public) used to study only Vedas with whole heart and faith, Vedas being the knowledge direct from God. This knowledge is still originated in the heart of present Rishis like Vyas Muni, Atri Rishi etc., but nowadays people are against the Vedas due to false statements of several present Gurus.

First proof is considered from Vedas only and thereafter six shastras, Upnishads, Geeta etc., the holy books written by mantradrishta Rishis based on the knowledge of Vedas. If Vedas would not have been there then no knowledge of shastra etc., could be written. Shri Gurubani too says, “VED ONKAAR NIRMAY” i.e., Vedas’ knowledge are direct from God. Four Vedas have been made by God. No one can evaluate there importance. They are inestimable and eternal. (Mahalla 1 shabad 17). And in Samveda mantras it has been clarified the knowledge of four Vedas is from Almighty God. I have mentioned some other references also in my Yoga lectures placed on www.vedmandir.com and request to see please.

Now come on shastra please. Sankhya shastra 5/48 says, “APAURUSHYA” i.e., Vedas are apaurushya i.e., no man has written the Vedas, it is of God. Manusmriti shlok 1/23, “AGNIVAAYURAVIBHAYSTU TRYAM BRAHM SANATANAM DUDOH YAJSIDHYARTHAMRIGYAJUHU SAAMLAKSHNAM”

Meaning: Yajsidhartham = the God for Yajna and to spread knowledge of all matters etc., gave the Vedas’ knowledge Agni-Vaayu-Ravibhya and from these Rishis the Brahma studied Rig, Yaju, Sam Vedas, dudohah = just like milking of cow, so here three names are mentioned because of gyan, karma and upasana, the three Vidya but the fourth veda Atharvaveda originated in Angira Rishi, is automatically counted along with said three Vedas. But the Rigveda mantra cited above already says about four Rishis and then no need of shastra, upnishad etc., Vedas being self-proof.

True Saints

In Shatpath Brahmin Granth 3/7/3/10, written by Yask Muni it is said, “VIDWANS HI DEVAHA” i.e., he who is learned of Vedas, he is called Dev. Yajurveda mantra 40/3 says, “ASURYA NAAM TE LOKAHA ANDHEN TAMSA VRITAHA___”means on taking birth a child is called “Manushya” i.e., mankind. If he learns Vedas, does pious deeds and discharges his moral duties well, according to Vedas then he becomes Dev. Otherwise Asur i.e., devil (demon) , one who kills the pure voice of soul and does sins. In Van Parv of Mahabharat Yaksh asked question to Yudhisthar, “KAH NASTIKAH” i.e., who is called atheist? Yudhisthar answers, he who is against and insults Vedas he is atheist (Manusmriti 2/11 also refers). So there are two kinds of men/women according to Yajurveda mantra quoted above. One, “DEV” and second “DEVIL”. So our birth is to become Dev.

Rig-Veda mantra 10/181/1 says that in the beginning of the creation, God always originates the knowledge of four Vedas in the heart of four Rishis, then the said four Rishis spread it further and until now the eternal knowledge of Vedas is being received traditionally. The names of those four Rishis are — Agni, Vaayu, Aditya, Angira, as also mentioned in Rig Veda mantra 10/109/1 and Manusmriti shlok 1/23. This truth is also mentioned in Bhagwad Geeta wherein shlok 3/15 says that Vedas emanate from Almighty God and in shlok 13/4 Shri Krishna says that the knowledge of soul and body is very well mentioned in four Vedas and the Rishis have described the same by many methods. In Atharvaveda mantra 2/35/1& 4 it is preached that Rishis spread the knowledge of holy Yagya (Yajna) to the people to kill their sorrows and Rishis are those, “MANTRADRISHTA ITI RISHIHI” i.e., those who have studied Vedas and Ashtang Yog practice and then realized Almighty God and
seen Ved mantras in their heart, they are called Rishis. So the knowledge of the Vedas, as per Rig-Veda mantras quoted above, is given by God Himself to the Rishis and it is eternal truth and cannot be changed that is why in Yog shastra sutra, Rishi Patanjali says, “SA ESH PURVESAHM API GURUHU”. So, next to God is Rishi.

God did not give the knowledge to the present saints. In Vedas, the name of the learned are mentioned as Rishis, Muni, Vipra, Dwij, Agni etc., and not saints. To be next to God it is necessary to have full knowledge of Vedas and Ashtang yoga, as per the rules quoted above.

To know that what is true and what is false, proof is required. Yog shastra in sutra 1/7 says about four proofs within which proof of Vedas to determine the truth is compulsory. However, it makes no difference that if a present saint has learnt four Vedas, done ashtang yoga practice mentioned in Vedas and realized Vedas and God, then he is also next to God. If one declares his name Rishi or Brahamchari and does not know Vedas and yoga philosophy, then he is liar and cheating the public because in Shanti Parv of Mahabharat also Bhisham Pitamaha says to Yudhisthar that there are two kinds of Braham (though God is one). First, “Shabad Braham” i.e., knowledge of four Vedas, second “Par Braham” the realization of formless God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. So he who does not know Braham even Shabad Braham – Vedas, then how can he write himself as brahamrishi? Naturally he is cheating the public because most of the public does not know about
Vedas and the arrogant (the saints who are against Vedas) have spread false knowledge about Vedas, Yajna and yoga philosophy.

That is why, Manusmriti 2/168 says that the saint/Guru/Dwij who does not know Vedas but studies false books, he, in his present life goes downwards i.e., experiences sorrows, sufferings etc, etc., with his followers, i.e., their followers also go down and experience the said difficulties etc., but nowadays it is also spread that God takes examination of a worshipper but such type of examinations have not been mentioned in Vedas. And Ramayana also says about such false saints – VARAN DHARAM NAHIN ASHRAMCHARI, SHRUTI VIRODH RAT SAB NAR NARI. Tulsidasji says that at present men and women here have become against the eternal knowledge of Vedas. Again Tulsidasji says in Uttrakand DWIJ SHRUTI BECHAK BHOOP PRAJSAN, KAU NAHIN MAN NIGAM ANUSASAN, i.e., at present mostly the people do not accept the knowledge of Vedas, present saints Gurus have sold the Vedas i.e., they do not know the ABCD about the Vedas.

Again in Nirukta 7/3, it is said that he who studies complete knowledge of Vedas and holy books, puts the preachings thereof into action/conduct and there after preaches others, he is called a Rishi. It is a well-known fact that ancient Rishis used to live in a lonely place/jungle in Gurukuls/Ashram where the students used to get knowledge traditionally, the same process too was adopted by Shri Krishna, Sudama, Shri Ram and their public. It was the effect of Ved mantras on them and the effect of practising Ashtang yoga philosophy, that they used to lead simple way of life without any luxury etc. Whereas nowadays the current saints (against the Vedas) mostly live in bigger cities where way of earning is obtained. The Rishis used to bless the people according to Ved mantra to be the richest and having all comforts in the family etc., whereas now most of the present saints say that money will do nothing, family will do nothing, house will
do nothing, cars and clothes will do nothing and they themselves take lot of money and enjoy luxuries.

The Rishis were free from illness/tension etc., Shwetashwaropnishad 2/12 and 13 says about this fact. So is it not clear that keeping the fact and proof of ved mantra and the said upnishad in mind, those are not rishi-muni etc., who are suffering from multi-farious diseases, tension etc., and too lack the knowledge of four Vedas and Ashtang yoga philosophy mentioned in Vedas.

Study of Mahabharat, holy granth and Valmiki Ramayan reveals that usually the ancient Rishis, who lived in gurukul or in jungle used to go to the kingdom on invitation only. (Valmiki Ramayan Bal Kand sarg 7 also refers). So it is not fair to send disciples door to door to collect money and to arrange maximum gathering/crowd. The Rishis like Vyas Muni etc., used to go mostly on foot and alone to anywhere (Mahabharat says) but now the present saints/Gurus go in a fleet of cars/groups with body guards etc., etc.

The Rishis themselves had simple living without luxury etc., but with their blessings they made people the richest whereas most of the present saints have become the richest with all luxury, gathering money/donation etc., from even poor people and public seems to be poor.

In Brihadarnayk Upnishad there is a debate (shastrarth) between Bal Brahamcharini Gargi and Rishi Yagvalkya. This debate was organized by King Janak. The winner of debate was to be given 500 cows, gold-plated on horns. When Rishi Yagvalkya ordered his disciples to take the cows then King Janak interrupted and requested the Rishi that these cows are meant for him who will win the debate with my supreme Acharya Gargi. King asked the Rishi whether he (Rishi) is Brahamrishi. Yagvalkya Rishi answered, O! King there was shortage of milk in my Gurukul to my students and that is why I wanted to take the cows. But if you want to ask something I am ready. There was a debate and Rishi won and got cows. This story tells that all Rishis used to ask for donation when they needed whereas present saints even having become multimillionaires through donation, ask for more money.

In Upnishad king Janshruti met with Rishi Rakya in lonely place sitting on sand under the shadow of Bullock cart. Whereas present saints meet people sitting on highly decorated and valuable throne. Rishi Jadbharat was sitting alone in a jungle on the earth. When he was asked to carry the palanquin (palki) putting one side on his shoulder, then he immediately became ready without any pride and walked on foot. Mostly now this cannot be repeated.

There are maximum examples of the ancient Rishis who were Tapsvi, lovers of truth, who are adorable.

(2) Vedas only tell about worship of one formless, omnipresent, omniscient God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. I also paste my articles below.

Earning or to get higher education or to become an extraordinary sportsperson or scientist etc., is not an easy task.

Please also read the article on Vedas’ Philosophy in previous answer.

(3) In Vedas, Avtarwad is not accepted. God can never take any avtar because he is Almighty i.e., has all unlimited powers to create, nurse and destroy the universe and all the deeds of the universe like control over janam-maran(birth-death) awarding of result of deeds of every living being etc. So He does not need any assistance so why would He take assistance of human-beings body made of five matters of Prakriti. In this regard, I paste another articles of mine:

Yet if anybody says about avtar then it is their own views and they are satisfied with their views and can not be commented because they could have been realizing at their own but so far as eternal knowledge of Vedas is concerned, Avtar is not possible.

God is formless
Being formless there is no need of statue or temple of God according to Vedas. As a matter of fact, you, I or every human being, lives in a body. Body is separate, we are called souls. Vedas say soul has no form even. Then also we know each other. For example even if you have not seen the photograph of King Akbar then, you can know Akbar by means of the study of his qualities. So is the case with the God. If an aspirant really goes to his Guru and listens Vedas like Shri Ram, and ancient kings and their public then he will be able to know hundred percent about formless God. Then comes realization for which Vedas (especially Samveda) says that he who performs Yajna, does jaap (according to Vedas) and practises Ashtang Yoga Philosophy while remaining in family like Shri Ram etc., he sure realizes ,being eternal law.

If we will meditate concentrating outside our body which is also against Vedas/Ashtang Yoga Philosophy, then our attention will always naturally remain outside i.e., attached with outer world i.e., decoration/music/dances etc. In that case subject matter of God will be over. It will be converted into spending fun, doing dances and singing attractive songs by ladies and gents, which is totally against Vedas. Thus the chapter of praising God, True Acharya, Rishi-Munis, performing Yajyen, practice of Ashtang Yoga, eternal knowledge of Vedas etc., will be over.

It is also baseless to say that study of Vedas and practice of yoga philosophy is difficult. It is self made story because Vedas are also called Shruti i.e., Vedas are to be listened first and not to be studied. So to listen to the Vedas, a learned Acharya is needed. The Acharya will explain the Ved mantras in the Yajna in your own language i.e., in English or Urdu etc., and for an aspirant to do asan, pranayaam, meditation etc., is also not difficult. It is all difficult for those human beings, including present false prophets, (who are against the Vedas), who are lazy, can’t awake early in the morning to listen Vedas and fail to do practice of yoga philosophy. Those people are always after money, materialistic articles and pomp and show etc.

Vedas are not written or spoken by God. This knowledge is emanated from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis as stated above. God is Almighty i.e., He has all powers. So He needs no assistance to do universal deeds. In human body alive soul resides and soul is dependent, soul requires mouth to speak, eye to see, hand to write etc., etc. but not God. From His power God originates the knowledge of Vedas in the rishis without writing, or speaking etc. Vedas’ knowledge is divine. The fundamental of the Vedas is this that it was not written or spoken. The knowledge by the power of God was originated about one Arab 96 crore, 8 lakh and 53 000 years ago. Then first time the four rishis of unsexual creation started pronunciation of the mantras by the power of God. God wanted them to know word meanings and senses of the mantras and therefore the rishis knew all. Then first time the four rishis started pronunciation of the mantras. They taught the
mantras to other ignorant people. Then another rishis were produced who knew the Vedas by heart by listening only. There was no paper, ink or pen there. The Vedas were being learnt by mouth to mouth and traditionally this process is yet in force. But mostly not by heart but taking help of the printed book. So printed books are not called Vedas but these are called samhita.

Samhita means the collection of Ved mantras. Therefore Present printed books cannot be considered as Vedas and will never be in future, but samhita. Kapil Muni throws light on this point in his Sankhya Shastra 5/48 that when a rishi does tapsya in the shape of Yajyen, study of Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga then the Ved mantras still (now also) originate in heart of the Rishi and the rishi pronounces the mantras. Those mantras are called Vedas, which emanate from God. So Vedas must first be listened (study) from alive Acharya (Guru who knows Vedas). Then only Samhita (books of Vedas) can help.

You are also advised to following books of mine, if possible.

(2) Vedanta- Eternal philosophy of Vedas(part I and II) worth Rs.20 each.

Jatinder: Guruji I want to know is there any beej mantra who defend us from black magic & harmfull tanra mantra
Swami Ram Swarup: There is no beej mantra in the world as it does not occur in the eternal knowledge of Vedas, which emanates from God. God has briefed every matter of the universe right from straw to Brahma. Black magic and tantra-mantra etc., have not been mentioned therein. So the same are self-made and do not effect ant person but a fear psychosis has been spread and people have indulged in illusion due to lack of knowledge of Vedas.

Roshni Patel: Why do we celebrate uttrayan?
Swami Ram Swarup: Uttrayan and Dakshinayan occur due to earth’s revolution around the sun and sun moves from northern to southern hemisphere of the earth. So, it is a geographical phenomenon, please.

M K: My son cannot get any leave now for garbhdhan vidhi and as rutushanti was not done I insist on Garbhadhan vidhi. So can it be done on any Saturday or Sunday?
Swami Ram Swarup: Yes, it can be done on any Saturday or Sunday but at least after expiry of five days of monthly cycle of females and thereafter within ten days.
