Meenal: I want to know my past births and what did I do. I have got few defects in astrology.
Swami Ram Swarup: We have come on the earth to face the result of our good and bad deeds of past life. Whatever we will do at present, these will be faced in future births. The effect of every deed is pasted on chitta. The deeds done in past life cannot be known. The importance of present pious deeds/worship etc., is important which kills the effect of past life’s deeds and the person gets long happy life even can attain salvation. So one should study Vedas and do always pious deeds.

Kaal Sarp Yog & other such defects in astrology
Vedas are eternal and knowledge direct from God wherein such kaal sarp yog etc., are not mentioned, please. So you need not to worry. Please try to do havan daily even from gayatri mantra, which is a great worship of God and will give you benefit. The meaning of kaal is also time. So death comes according to time for which the God has given life to us. This is all based on our previous lives’ pious deeds and sins. So there is no effect of kaal sarp yog etc., in the life, but effect of deeds (karmas) only. So, one must do always pious deeds to be happy. Present pious deeds can burn our previous deeds also and life’s time can also be extended wide Yajurveda mantra 3/62.

Varun: Pranam Swamiji, Atharvaveda mantra 6/8/1 wife should be dependent on husband just as a creeper completely depends on the tree. Does this means lady has to dependent on husband for her financial and other needs? Will this not subjugate women?
Swami Ram Swarup: No doubt the laws of Vedas are unchangeable that is why only a capable person holds the laws. You know, nowadays, people are not aware of the facts of the Vedas, reason behind that they are not habitual to listen to Vedas. You know without listening how a person would be able to know and follow the teachings of the Vedas and hence the problem. After Mahabharat war, i.e., before 5,300 years people have left the Vedic path and as said in Tulsikrit Ramayan in Uttrakand, mentioned below mostly the people have made their own path.
SHRUTI SAMMAT HARI BHAKTI PATH
SANJUT BIRTI BIBEK,
TEHIN NA CHALHIN NAR MOH BAS

KALPAHIN PANTH ANEK

Meaning:- Due to attachment and illusion, people do not follow the eternal path of Vedas, which leads to acquisition of ascetism and true knowledge. On the contrary, people have made their own parts as per their suitability and interest. The suitability and interest is actually called “Attachment”.

So , how a lady would be able to follow the preach of the Vedas that she should be dependent on her husband just as creeper depends on tree? The fundamental laws of Vedas would only be followed by those who are learned of Vedas –both husband and wife. But those who are not aware of the teachings of Vedas, usually their target is ‘money’. They can’t minimize their worldly desires. Moreover, in some situations the family is so poor that naturally first of all they would try to earn the money to live upon.

However, such all above situations are based on the previous result of good and bad deeds which we’ve to face in present life. I mean to say, even the Vedas tell that if a poor family also spares the time to listen to Vedas and do hawan then, it means they are elevating themselves to get the better human birth in rich family after death and the family members would get more and more facilities to do Yajyen and yogabhayas and lady would then not require to earn the money. So one would have to make him/her entitled to follow the path of Vedas in the present life by all means, so as to get better rebirth and also to attain salvation there. Otherwise, one will have to face the sorrows by taking birth in living beings other than humans.

Anonymous: I get dreams of Shivling Pooja. Once I got a vibration on my forehead. I went to a Tarot card reader and he said that it is Kundalini jagran.
Swami Ram Swarup: Mere study of Vedas and other holy Granths does not correct the purpose until we put into practice the preach given therein, in daily life. And realization is only possible after tapsya like Yajyen, daily worship, brahmcharya and daily hard yoga practice etc. according to four Vedas and Patanjal yog Darshan is based on my personal experiences, it is not an easy task to awaken the kundalni. I cannot give brief here, being secret one but I can only tell here that kundalni is a part of body and it reaches at murdha to open the path of brahmrandra , where a yogi realizes god .murdha is a point at forehead , between two eyebrows , where ida and pingla nadi meet .kundalni is awakened after long Ashtang yoga practice. Some say that it is a matter of three months. See that God is called Atithi in Vedas. Atithi means He who has no date of His visit i.e., you can not fix date for appointment. If we say for three months or so, it means we have ordered God to be present before us within three months where as Atharvaveda mantra 4/30/3 states that after seeing the good quality and tapsya etc., of an aspirant God Himself makes the aspirant able to realize Him at any date which is fix by God and not by man.

Hence time bound Kundalni Jagran is not possible as no one can give order to God. Geeta book says, “BAHUNAAM JANAMNA ANTE” means after so many births aspirants realizes God. So yoga should be learnt and practised faithfully. It is up to God and Guru jee when kundalini is awakened. Because awakened means realization of God.

This is a well known fact that such worship has not been mentioned in Vedas. Everybody says that Lord Shiva resides on mountain then question arises that why Ling remains on the field/ground? Praises are there due to advertisements in prayers etc., in Shiv Puran and other man-made books. Such books/stories attract the public. However, our Vedas, shastras, Valmiki Ramayan, Upnishads and other Sanskrit holy granths written by ancient Rishis are quite silent on the matter. Yes, I would like to state that if somebody has his own faith on Shivling worship, they may go ahead please.

ARE BRAHMA, VISHNU, MAHESH GODS?
Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh are not God. Vedas tell that there is only one formless God who never takes birth. He creates, nurses and destroys the universe. His power is enough to create and control the whole universe. He is Almighty i.e., He has all unlimited powers and therefore He does not need any assistance to create, nurse and destroy the universe by Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh. If God needs assistance then He will not be called Almighty. So God does not need any support but we all humans as well as all living beings need His support and blessings every time. However, in Vedas, there are innumerable names of Almighty God according to His divine qualities. So Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh etc., are also the names of the formless Almighty God. Brahma means the greatest. Vishnu means omnipresent and Mahesh means the greatest.

It is the personal matter of worship or not to worship. So atheists are also there. But it is very clear that God in Vedas as clarified that He Has blessed the human being with human body to worship and realise God. Nobody can attain happy life in the absence of worship of God. One more thing is clear from Vedas in which God states –Oh man/woman you live on the earth given by God and all comforts provided by the God. And if you do not remember/worship God then it is sin and punishment is awarded by the God.

Very few persons know that present science has also come out from Vedas, especially Rigveda. The knowledge of Vedas also emanates from God. So, it is clear that scientist also enjoy science which is given by God. God is not only the matter of blind faith. It is the matter of discussion with a learned acharya of Vedas and Yoga philosophy who from Vedas, shastras and Upnishads etc., and scientifically also prove the existence of God. For example- we see the creation and can think deeply that who has created it or is it a job of man/woman, scientist etc., then automatically after long discussion we would reach on the conclusion that men/women/scientist have not created the universe and then He who has created is called Almighty God.

Vishnu is also a name of formless, Almighty God based on quality. Quality is a sunder- “Vishnu” word is made from “Vishlari” Dhatu and the sense of Vishlari” is omnipresent. So he who has the quality of being Omnipresent at all times without a second’s break, He is Vishnu and no other Vishnu exists equivalent to this God. Similarly, Brahma= “Vri Vridhau” i.e., the biggest amongst the universe. Naturally, He is Almighty God. So, the name of Almighty God is also Brahma. Similarly, according to Yajurveda mantra 16/41 shiv means he who is beneficial/causes welfare, is shiv. The most beneficial, who creates and nurses the universe is Almighty God. So, Shiv is also name of Almighty God.

Shashi Chand: Swami ji, charansparsh. Hum kahte hain sita maiya dharti main sama gain thi to kya maiya ne aatam hatya kee na samjhaiye please
Swami Ram Swarup: Sita mata ki Dharti mein samane ki katha Jhuthi hai. Aur koi bhi vidushi atm hatya kabhi nahi karti.
