Dr. Harish Arya: Whenever I have followed the dharam I have gotten the benefit, but I have a confusion now that as dharam says that one should be satisfied whatever he gets, but in study it is said that little dissatisfaction is very necessary to make the student to read and I have personally observed that what are you saying about that?

Swami Ram Swarup: Yes, it is true that dharma says that one should be satisfied with whatever one gets. So, a true student is also satisfied with whatever he has studied in a day and if he is eager to study more then he must start and get satisfied with whatever he studies in a day.

S: Please let me know the reason for the change in direction of body position in deep meditation.
Swami Ram Swarup: Reason of change in direction of the body is meditation by which yog agni is produced within the body.

D: If in shop I listen to Ved mantras on CD, is it ok? Or I should read Ved mantra on shop for business, etc.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. According to the basic principle, Ved mantras must be listened from an acharya, also Yajyen must be performed and better the mantras with their detailed comments are listened in Yajyen. Now, CDs have been produced. So it is second option being helpless that CDs are listened. However, if the voice in CD is of a learned acharya then it may be somewhat useful/beneficial.

U: Respected swamiji, pranam! I am very much thankful for your reply to my question. After going through the same I understand that the way to salvation is not at all a simple procedure. Really I pray and ask you “To keep the mind still” should we really go for all these readings? To love one another as our own self all these knowledge is it essential? My dear swamiji still now I was believing that since God is the primary and our mind- a product of his play the only need was to try to keep the mind in balance (which is impossible at present level) and accept as a prasad whatever comes into our experience (that is more difficult), but my belief was that one day I too might succeed in my effort. Now when will I finish reading books and begin the practical application of my learning in my life? I am already too late in this field I hope! I am very much new in spiritual path and that’s why I havn’t read any of your books. As you had advised me to read the following books of yours – “Vedanta and eternal philosophy of Vedas part I & II”, I would like to read it. But kindly tell me before hand the cost of these books. Your reply was in very simple language. Hope these books are also printed likewise for I cannot follow otherwise. Please pray for me that my vasanas easily melt away and thus I attain the goal of my birth. Once again I thank you so much for the sincerity showered upon me!!
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. Yes, even to follow the path of salvation is really told difficult by the ancient and the present learned acharyas but on the other hand, it is too simple to say – how? Because, only an aspirant i.e., he who has immense thirst to know himself/God; for him the path is extremely simple. The salvations have been attained not only from the time of creation but even before it and human life is meant for the same aim. So, the person of your caliber may sure attain the same. Please, start the day by chanting Gayatri mantra in the early morning sitting on suitable asan like Sukhasan, Siddhasan or Padmasan etc. concentrate on the point between two eyebrows which is called “Agyachakra”. The Gayatri mantra should be chanted along with its meaning both times. Also, please try to perform daily hawan even with Gayatri mantra. Then try to study any of my books daily and put up question if any. After 15 days chant the Gayatri mantra only thrice thereafter do the name jaap of Almighty God-“Om”. The jaap must be done daily by heart and not orally. Now, remains contact with learned acharya to learn the Ashtang yoga Philosophy. For the same, either you can come here after two months or you can seek any learned Yogi of Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy locally or from any where.

Better if you meet him personally. He will tell you the secret of Vedas and Yoga Philosophy.

The requisite books are being sent to you.
